CT Warriors Earn Three Wins on the Week
The CT Warriors 19-U AAU baseball squad was victorious in three of its four games last week and is now sporting a record of 5-5 for the summer season. The Warriors swept a doubleheader against CT Rage, defeated Turn2 Baseball White, and then took a loss to the NCT Mustangs in recent action.
On July 21, the CT Warriors faced the CT Rage for a doubleheader at the Connecticut Sportsplex in North Branford. The Warriors swept the set by earning a 9-1 victory in the first game and a 7-1 win in the second contest. Sam Huffman pitched a complete game and hit a home run for the Warriors in the opener of the doubleheader. In game two, Sal D’Anna pitched a complete game to get the victory.
The following day, the CT Warriors traveled to West Haven to face Turn2 Baseball White. The Warriors came away with a 3-2 victory to notch their third-straight win on the week. Kevin Ciardiello tossed a complete game for the Warriors, allowing just two runs in the win.
Then on July 25, the Warriors took a 5-2 home loss to the NCT Mustangs at Guilford High School.
