Guilford Athletes to Continue Careers in College
On Nov. 27, seven seniors who play sports at Guilford High School announced their intentions to continue their careers at the collegiate level next year. The athletes made their announcement during a ceremony that took place at the high school on the day before Thanksgiving.
Aidan Henry is going to compete at the Division I level as a member of the men’s swimming and diving team at Army West Point in New York. Cat Larrow will play for the Division I women’s lacrosse team at Niagara University in Lewiston, New York. Charlotte Wiley will join the Division I women’s rowing team at the University of Central Florida in Orlando.
Gabi Garcia-Perez announced that she is going to attend the University of New Haven to play Division II soccer. Josh Wetteman will compete for the Division II baseball team at Southern Connecticut State University.
Madison Gambardella is heading off to Wellesley, Massachusetts to join the women’s soccer team at Division III Babson College. Claire Mackenzie will play Division III soccer at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York.
