Post 83 Seniors Beat Orange in Season Finale; Prep Legion Splits Pair with Milford

The Branford Senior Legion baseball team posted a 4-1 win over Orange in its season finale last week. Post 83 saw its campaign come to a close with a record of 10-12 in Zone 2 play for a seventh-place finish. Branford had an overall record of 12-14 this summer.
On July 9, Branford took a 10-2 home loss to Hamden and dropped a 7-6 decision at New Haven in a game that had been suspended from the previous week with the score tied 6-6. Four days later, Post 83 hosted Orange and won by a 4-1 in final in the team’s last game of the season. Eddie Zanor pitched a complete game for Branford in the victory against Orange, which finished in second place in Zone 2 this year.
Prep Legion Baseball
The Post 83 Prep Legion baseball squad split two games with Milford last week. Branford owns a record of 7-6 in Zone B play entering the final week of the regular season.
On July 10, Branford hosted Milford and came away with a 4-3 victory. The next day, Post 83 had another home game versus Milford and took a 2-0 defeat.
