The coronavirus crisis has nearly halted the local economy — including media advertising. That means local, independent news organizations such as ours must fight for our own survival while continuing to provide critical news and information as a public service during this unprecedented situation. If you believe local reporting is important and you're able to lend support during this pandemic, click here for info on making a tax-deductible donation.

If you take a moment to dig into the William Raveis website, raveis.com, the Community Involvement tab of the About Us page may give you some insight into how deeply this company cares about others. More than 60 organizations are supported by the real estate company.
One of those organizations is the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation, which is one that got local Madison agents involved with fundraising efforts this year.
"I got involved because I wanted to help make a difference in the quality of care for future and present day cancer patients," says Lisa Daniele, a real estate agent with William Raveis. "My clients are super supportive in my efforts to raise money and with their help I personally raised $1,550 this year."
The foundation funds high-risk, high-reward cancer research, according to its website, damonrunyon.org. It "identifies and enables young scientists who are brilliant, brave and bold enough to go where others haven't."
Part of what drew William Raveis Real Estate to support this organization were the qualities that made it unique in this field—its "commitment to ending the threat of all forms of cancer, exclusive focus on the best young scientists, because they drive innovation; and the promise that 100% of contributions go directly to their scientists."
"Damon Runyon is a very special place," Bill Raveis says. "The scientists are brilliant people. I am truly dedicated to this organization."
If you care about your community and want to work with a real estate company that is like-minded, William Raveis Realty may be the one for your next home purchase or sale.
