Situated along the picturesque coastal shores of historic Old Saybrook, Saybrook Point Inn has been providing memorable weddings and special events for nearly 40 years. From the elegant event space to the gorgeous backdrop of the marina and Long Island Sound, the former ballroom is set to undergo a major renovation this winter. Construction will commence in February 2019, with completion by mid-March; by means of this new design, Saybrook Point will be poised to continue providing memorable events with an aesthetically pleasing appeal.

"The project is designed to provide our clients with a beautiful and fl exible setting by providing signifi cant enhancements to interior design, lighting, and acoustic features," says General Manager John Lombardo.

Interior designer Lisa Silver of Silver Contract Interiors of Stamford will be transforming the space and providing elements that meet the needs of Saybrook Point's social and corporate clientele. Silver commented that the new custom design and décor will include a palette of colors complemented by walnut paneled doors; custom-designed chandeliers and wall sconces; acoustical textured fabric walls and coff ered ceiling; a magnifi cent, full-height stone fi replace; new window fashions with multiple treatment features; a rich, woodgrain fl oor that covers the entire room; and a beautiful and fl exible backdrop for social guests as well as providing corporate clients a versatile space for meetings and team building

Saybrook Point's long-standing commitment to sustainability will be refl ected within the designed element selections.
