Since its opening in 2014, the Connecticut Pharmacy of Madison has focused on providing the best possible service to the community. For Kane, it is an opportunity to do more for the customers he has known for years.
"You can talk to me — we'll have a conversation," he says. "Whereas, you're never allowed to have that time in the chain settings."
The Connecticut Pharmacy off ers FREE home delivery 7 days a week, as well as seasonal Flu shots. Prescription transfers are easy, and most insurances are accepted, as well as preferred providers such as Aetna Medicare RX Plan.
"You're able to treat people like people," said Kane. "They know if they need anything, they can call us."
The store stocks a unique line of greeting cards, along with Madison apparel and souvenirs, plus jewelry and other gift items. Local vendors sell their products in the store, which features an unusual handmade selection.
For the past t h re e ye a r s , Connecticut Pharmacy of Madison is proud to provide a yearly scholarship to a deserving Daniel Hand High School student.
Other community outreach includes sponsoring gift baskets to various charity events.
A licensed pharmacist since 1990, Kane felt there was a need for a community-based pharmacy in this area. "I decided to do something that would enrich my life as well as the people I am taking care of," says Kane.
