Where is Nick, Now?

When you arrive at Killingworth Animal Hospital, you and your pet will most likely be greeted by Nick, the hospital cat. Nick is so popular he even comes with his own hashtag, #wheresnicknow, as he has been spotted in various locations throughout the clinic.

Many animals aren't fond of going to the veterinarian. They're scared, worried, and anxious about why they're going and what is going to happen. Nick and the staff at Killingworth Animal Hospital take pride in their comforting hospital and staff members to help make your pet's veterinary experience a positive one.

If Nick is unable to help your pet upon arriving, the staff members are great at remembering and acknowledging your pet's behaviors and will help in any way they can.

"One of our patients comes in once a month for nail trims with a technician," says Stacy Perrone who works at the hospital. "After months of trying different attempts to make her experience better, we finally found a cure to her appointment anxiety! She is now great for her nail trims because she knows she'll get some ice cream once it's completed. She does not mind coming back for nail trims anymore."

Dr. Fair and his wife opened Killingworth Animal Hospital in 1995 and the hospital has been providing loving care to many of the pets in Killingworth and the surrounding area ever since. Prior to locating to Connecticut, Dr. Fair co-owned Vineyard Veterinary Clinic on Martha's Vineyard for 15 years. Killingworth Animal Hospital has grown over the years and has added several associates. Current staff includes John P. Mead, DVM, Christine Y. Mullen, VMD, Michael H. Dunn, VMD, and Suzette M. Ward, DVM.
