Of course, it's not all about pools
—the company offers sales and installation of pools, an array of hot tubs, patio and masonry work, outdoor kitchens, patio furniture, fencing, landscape design, putting greens, and Astroturf for animal shelters.
While all of that may seem massive, it evolved like many businesses do: over time. The business began at the Laudano family home in Durham 30 years ago, with just one van and a single employee. A young, newly married couple pregnant with their first child, they decided to take the metaphorical plunge. Tom had a passion for creating and building. As a teenager, Tom spent part of the summer helping his parents put a pool in their backyard, and he was hooked.
Tom and Julie spent many years honing their craft along with hardworking and knowledgeable employees so that Aquatic Pool & Spa Service would be the best swimming pool and hot tub company in the state. Very quickly, the business outgrew the Laudano home and the couple moved its headquarters to a rental space in Northford. Word quickly got out about their level of professionalism and commitment to getting things right, and their customer base grew like wildfire. In 2003, ground was broken for a new, state-of-the art headquarters designed to help each customer figure out what was best for them.
Julie, Tom, and now their sons Thomas Jr. and Joseph have created what their customers and friends refer to as the "go-to" pool and spa business. Aquatic Pool & Spa Service has earned a reputation for knowledge, attention to detail, and vast expertise. Tom and Julie praise their team of employees who live their philosophy of giving the customer more when it comes to quality and service and say they couldn't have gotten this far in business without this dedicated team.
With separate construction and service departments, they take pride in the responsiveness to your swimming pool and hot tub needs. Their quality of products, reliable installations, and superior customer service is what separates them in the industry.
