The Valley Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in the towns of Essex, Deep River, and Chester. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Essex

Wednesday, Nov. 2 - Tuesday, Nov. 8

Wednesday, Nov. 9 - Monday, Nov. 14

Tuesday, Nov. 15

• A 63-year-old man of North Main Street was arrested at 7:44 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct, assault in the third degree, threatening in the second degree, and strangulation/suffocation in the second degree. The alleged victim in the case was a 47-year-old of Plains Road. The accused was processed on a $25,000 surety bond.

• A 36-year-old Willimantic man was arrested at 9:08 p.m. on the strength of a warrant charging him with risk of injury to a minor, disorderly conduct, interfering with an emergency call, assault in the third degree, threatening in the second degree, and strangulation/suffocation in the second degree. The victim was a 34-year-old person of Brookside Lane. The accused was processed on a $150,000 surety bond.

Chester

Friday, Nov. 4

• A 43-year-old man of High Street was arrested on the strength of a warrant charging him with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway, and unsafe backing.

Saturday, Nov. 5 - Tuesday, Nov. 15

No arrests were made.
