The Guilford Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.
Thursday, Oct. 6
No arrests were made.
• A domestic dispute was investigated at 4:37 p.m. Police redacted the location for privacy concerns.
• Citizen assistance was provided at 8 North Street at 8:17 p.m. A caller stated that when she exited her residence, she left the door from the interior of her garage to her residence unlocked, and when she returned it was locked. She asked if an officer could check the interior of her residence to make sure everything was in order. The residence was checked, and all was in order.
Friday, Oct. 7
• A 42-year-old Madison woman was arrested at 9:45 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree and conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree.
• Harassment was investigated on the 900 block of Long Hill Road at 12:58 p.m.
• Risk of injury was investigated at 1:54 p.m. Police redacted the location for privacy concerns.
• A complaint about fraud was reported by a resident of 55 Cherry Street at 2:42 p.m. Personal loans were taken out in the complainant’s name.
Saturday, Oct. 8
No arrests were made.
• Sudden death/bodies found was reported at 87 Whitethorn Drive at 9:56 a.m.
• A theft was investigated at Central Hospital for Veterinary Medicine, 535 Boston Post Road, at 3:07 p.m. A caller stated that she was in the parking lot of the listed address and observed multiple subjects attempting to cut a catalytic converter off a vehicle. When the subjects saw her making a video recording of them, they ran over to her vehicle. No additional information about the incident was recorded in the public information press report.
• A burglary was investigated at 1445 Boston Post Road at 4:34 p.m.
• A theft was investigated at 143 Three Mile Course at 9:29 p.m.
• A theft was investigated at Dunkin Donuts, 1200 Boston Post Road, at 9:48 p.m. A catalytic converter was cut off the complaint’s vehicle between 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
• A theft was investigated at Guilford Bistro and Grill Café, 1016 Boston Post Road, at 10:38 p.m. A catalytic converter was cut off the complainant’s vehicle.
Sunday, Oct. 9
No arrests were made.
• A theft was investigated at 201 Fitch Hill Road at 2:31 p.m. A generator was stolen from the complainant’s residence last spring.
• A theft was investigated at Tractor Supply Company, 2945 Boston Post Road, at 5:41 p.m.
Monday, Oct. 10
No arrests were made.
• A theft was investigated at Guilford Mobil, 1164 Boston Post Road, at 8:30 a.m. The incident was caught on camera.
• The theft of multiple catalytic converters was investigated at A-1 Complete Auto Care, 655 Boston Post Road, at 9:48 a.m.
• The theft of catalytic converters was reported at Jerry’s Transmission Service, 620 Boston Post Road, at 10:18 a.m.
• A theft was investigated a Guilford Commons, 1919 Boston Post Road, at 3:09 p.m. Two 19-foot scissor lifts worth $11,000 were stolen.
• A suicide attempt was investigated at 6:47 p.m. Police redacted the location for privacy concerns.
Tuesday, Oct. 11
No arrests were made.
Wednesday, Oct. 12
• A 21-year-old man of Hart Landing was arrested at 9:45 a.m. and charged with assault in the second degree and conspiracy to commit assault in the second degree.
• A 50-year-old man of a Whitfield Street apartment was arrested at 5:35 p.m. on the strength of a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the second degree.
• A vehicle repossession was scheduled for 810 Hoop Pole Road at 1:15 p.m.
• A complaint about attempted fraud via credit card was reported by a resident of 8 Lucy Lane at 2:34 p.m.
• A landlord/tenant dispute was investigated at 69 Whitfield Street at 4:01 p.m. A complaint sublet a room from a renter, then discovered that the renter was being evicted.
