The Sound publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in Branford and North Branford. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.
Branford
Wednesday, Aug. 31
• A 58-year-old man of Chestnut Street was arrested at 9:58 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.
• A 58-year-old New Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 7:55 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license, and improper use of marker plate.
Thursday, Sept. 1
• A 46-year-old homeless man was arrested at 10 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.
• A 35-year-old man of a 123 Main Street apartment was arrested at 10 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.
• A 41-year-old man of Main Street was arrested at 11:21 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.
• A 50-year-old New Haven man was arrested at 6:09 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.
• A 38-year-old New Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 11:13 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, improper use of marker plate, and operating a motor vehicle in violation of license classification.
Friday, Sept. 2
No arrests were made.
Saturday, Sept. 3
• A 56-year-old man of Millwood Drive was arrested at 7:30 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, improper parking,
disorderly conduct, and illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle.
• A 65-year-old woman and a 27-year-old woman of the same Stonegate Circle apartment were arrested at 4:51 p.m. Each party was charged with disorderly conduct under the Domestic Violence Act.
Sunday, Sept. 4 - Tuesday, Sept. 6

North Branford
Wednesday, Aug. 31
No arrests were made.
• A 41-year-old man of West Wind Drive was issued a citation at 8:29 a.m. for operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
• A 60-year-old man of Burr Hill Terrace was issued a written warning at 1:13 a.m. for having improper rear marker lamps.
• A 68-year-old Clinton man was issued a written warning at 3:56 a.m. for traveling unreasonably fast.
Thursday, Sept. 1
No arrests were made.
• A 59-year-old New Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 8:48 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance and operating an unregistered motor vehicle. He was operating a gray 2015 Nissan Altima sedan.
• A 34-year-old New Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 9:44 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension. He was operating a white 2015 Chrysler 200 Limited.
• A 33-year-old New Haven man was issued a citation at 8:04 a.m. for failure to comply with State Traffic Commission road signs or street markings.
• A 41-year-old East Haven woman was issued a citation at 11:48 a.m. for operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
• A 36-year-old New Haven man was issued a citation at 2:26 p.m. for operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
• A 36-year-old New Haven man was issued a citation at 2:34 p.m. for operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
• A 21-year-old woman of Marjorie Drive was issued a citation at 9:37 p.m. for failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway.

• A 53-year-old Durham man was issued a citation at 10:09 a.m. for operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
• A 20-year-old Clinton man was issued a written warning at 3:21 a.m. for traveling unreasonably fast.

• A 47-year-old North Haven woman was issued a citation at 8:45 a.m. for operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
• A 62-year-old man of Bailey Road was issued a citation at 9:29 a.m. for operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
• A 64-year-old Higganum man was issued a citation at 11:21 a.m. for operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
• A 47-year-old Durham woman was issued a citation at 12:21 p.m. for operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
