The East Haven Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.
Wednesday, Aug. 3
• A 58 year-old woman of James Street was arrested at 3:30 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway.
• A 28 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 11:30 p.m. and charged with violation of a protective order. He was processed on a $10,000 surety bond.
Thursday, Aug. 4
• A 30 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 3:55 a.m. and charged with possession of a controlled substance and having improper rear marker lamps.
Friday, Aug. 5
• A 43 year-old Waterbury man was arrested at 4 p.m. and charged with larceny in the third degree, possession of a controlled substance, and use or possession of drug paraphernalia.
Saturday, Aug. 6
No arrests were made.
Sunday, Aug. 7
No arrests were made.
• A 22 year-old Branford man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 5:10 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
Monday, Aug. 8
• A 31 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 3:04 p.m. and charged with violation of probation.
• A 58 year-old man of Pond Street was arrested at 7:07 p.m. and charged with possession of a controlled substance, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, improper use of marker plate, and failure to renew registration.
Tuesday, Aug. 9
• A 27 year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 11:56 p.m. and charged with possession of a controlled substance, use or possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to register a commercial vehicle, improper use of marker plate, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, and operating a motor without a driver's license.
• A 32 year-old woman of Salerno Avenue was arrested at 11:55 p.m. and charged with possession of a controlled substance and use or possession of drug paraphernalia.
Wednesday, Aug. 10
• A 46 year-old man of Mansfield Grove Road was arrested at 3:30 a.m. and charged with criminal trespass in the third degree, criminal mischief in the second degree, criminal attempt to commit larceny in the third degree, conspiracy to commit larceny in the third degree, and interfering with an officer/resisting arrest. While in custody he was also charged with failure to appear in the first degree and failure to appear in the second degree on the strength of a warrant. He was processed on a combined $55,500 surety bond.
• A 45 year-old Waterbury man was arrested at 9:00 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree and illegally taking a payment card.
• A 48 year-old homeless man was arrested at 11:19 a.m. and charged with violation of probation, Larceny in the sixth degree, conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree, and interfering with an officer/resisting arrest. While in custody he was also charged with failure to appear in the second degree on the strength of a warrant. But he was processed on a combined $13,000 bond.
• A 51 year-old Bridgeport man was arrested at 11:19 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree and conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree.
Thursday, Aug. 11
• A 29 year-old Bridgeport man was arrested at 9:16 a.m. and charged with interfering with an officer resisting arrest, assault on a public safety officer, possession of a narcotic with intent to sell, possession of a controlled substance, failure to obey traffic control signal, failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway, and operating a motor vehicle with tinted windows without DMV approval. He was processed on a $50,000 bond.
• A 46 year old New Haven woman was arrested at 3:46 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree
Friday, Aug. 12
• A 24 year-old Philadelphia man was arrested at 2:00 p.m. and charged with harassment in the second degree, criminal violation of a restraining order, and two counts of violation of a protective order. He was processed on a $75,000 surety bond.
• A 29 year-old Stratford woman was arrested at 9:30 p.m. on the strength of a warrant charging her with two counts of failure to appear in the second degree. She was processed on a combined $25,000 surety bond.
Saturday, Aug. 13
• A 20 year-old man of Clark Ave was arrested at 12:32 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree.
Sunday, Aug. 14
• A 30 year-old man of Meadow place was arrested at 10:29 p.m. and charged with assault in the third degree and disorderly conduct.
Monday, Aug. 15
• A 44 year-old man of a Foxon Boulevard apartment was arrested at 7:22 a.m. and charged with criminal trespass in the first degree, disorderly conduct, in violation of a protective order. He was processed on a $25,000 surety bond.
• A 42 year-Old West Haven woman was arrested at 6:40 p.m. and charged with harassment in the second degree.
• A 35 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 10:49 p.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the second degree and larceny in the second degree.
Tuesday, Aug. 16
