The Guilford Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Thursday, July 28

No arrests were made.

• A complaint about attempted bank account fraud was investigated at 348 Chaffinch Island Road at 8:22 a.m.

• A theft was investigated at 830 Boston Post Road at 11:30 a.m. A caller reported a theft from a vehicle.

• A theft was investigated at 3434 Durham Road at 12:28 p.m. Cash was taken from a cash box.

• The passing of a bad check was investigated at 680 Boston Post Road at 1:22 p.m.

• An unwanted person complaint was investigated at 741 Boston Post Road at 4:19 p.m. A caller stated that a white male in sweats was loitering in front of her business. The caller stated that the man had just urinated on her property right next to the driveway. The man was gone when police arrived.

Friday, July 29

No arrests were made.

• A theft was investigated at 2548 Boston Post Road at 1:11 p.m.

• Harassment was investigated at 4:08 p.m. Police redacted the location for privacy concerns.

Saturday, July 30

No arrests were made.

Sunday, July 31

No arrests were made.

• Breach of peace was investigated on Park Street at 8:40 p.m.

Monday, Aug. 1

No arrests were made.

• Breach of peace was investigated at 535 Boston Post Road at 3:24 p.m. A client of the veterinary hospital yelled at the staff and an alarm was pressed to summon help. The client, in his sixties or seventies, was locked outside the clinic until police arrived.

• A theft was investigated at 1919 Boston Post Road at Bed, Bath & Beyond. Two males shoplifted a Kitchen Aid device and other items.

Tuesday, Aug. 2

• A 32 year-old man of Barker Hill Road was arrested at 11 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree.

• A domestic dispute was investigated at 9:41 p.m. Police redacted the location for privacy concerns.

• A complaint about custodial interference was investigated at 10:53 p.m. Police redacted the location for privacy concerns.

Wednesday, Aug. 3

• A 45 year-old Branford man was arrested at 4:30 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree.

• A 46 year-old Killingworth man was arrested at 8:15 p.m. and charged with violation of a protective order.

• A complaint about online bank account fraud was investigated at 101 Hoyt Lane at 9:37 a.m.

• A domestic dispute was investigated at 3:58 p.m. Police redacted the location for privacy concerns.
