Police Incident Report for July 20 to 26


The East Haven Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Wednesday, July 20

• A 45 year-old woman of Sorrento Avenue was arrested at 2 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway.

• A 27 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 5:53 p.m. and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and two counts of sale of a narcotic substance. He was processed on a $50,000 surety bond.

• A 32 year-old Newington man was arrested at 6:53 p.m. and charged with threatening in the second degree. He was processed on a $25,000 surety bond.

Thursday, July 21

• A 45 year-old homeless man was arrested at 12 noon and charged with larceny in the sixth degree. He was arrested again at 4:49 p.m. and charged with a second count of larceny in the second degree following an investigation at 68 East Frontage Road.

• A 28 year-old man of Main Street was arrested at 5:41 p.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the third degree, breach of peace in the second degree, and threatening in the second degree. He was processed on a $5,000 bond.

Friday, July 22

• A 25 year-old woman of Green Garden Court was arrested at 8:55 a.m. and charged with violation of probation. She was processed on a $10,000 surety bond.

• A 35 year-old Meriden man and a 32 year-old Naugatuck woman were arrested at 11:34 a.m. Each party was charged with larceny in the fifth degree and conspiracy to commit larceny in the fifth degree following an investigation at 75 West Frontage Road.

• A 38 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 9:55 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

Saturday, July 23

• A 45 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 11:38 a.m. and charged with criminal attempt to commit larceny in the fifth degree and conspiracy to commit larceny in the fifth degree. He was processed on a $5,000 surety bond.

• A 55 year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 11:47 a.m. and charged with conspiracy to commit larceny in the fifth degree following an investigation at 75 West Frontage Road.

• A 72 year-old man of Leigh Drive was arrested at 12:20 p.m. on the strength of a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the second degree.

• A 33 year-old man of Bradley Street was arrested at 9:41 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

Sunday, July 24

• A 53 year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 1:21 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

Monday, July 25

• A 23 year-old man of a Coe Avenue apartment was arrested at 8:35 p.m. and charged with burglary in the third degree and larceny in the sixth degree.

Tuesday, July 26

• A 35 year-old woman of Crest Avenue was arrested at 6:42 a.m. and charged with risk of injury to a minor, criminal mischief in the second degree, and disorderly conduct.

• A 28 year-old Wallingford man was arrested at 7:47 p.m. and charged with evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident in which there was property damage or bodily injury), improper use or a marker plate, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, and operating a motorcycle without an endorsement.
