Police Incident Report for July 28


The East Haven Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Wednesday, July 13

No arrests were made.

Thursday, July 14

• A 26 year-old man of a Main Street apartment was arrested at 9:50 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and strangulation/suffocation in the third degree. He was processed on a $10,000 surety bond.

Friday, July 15

• A 24 year-old man of Henry Street was arrested at 4:04 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

Saturday, July 16

• A 32 year-old man of Saint Andrew Avenue was arrested at 4:56 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct, assault in the third degree, and strangulation/suffocation in the second degree. He was processed on a $75,000 surety bond.

Sunday, July 17

• A 36 year-old man of a Cedar Court apartment was arrested at 12:58 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and unlawful restraint in the second degree.

• A 39 year-old man of Forest Street was arrested at 2:53 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident in which there was property damage or bodily injury), and reckless driving, and operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license.

• A 35 year-old man of Alpine Drive was arrested at 6:09 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license following a motor vehicle stop on Laurel Street at View Terrace.

Monday, July 18

• A 38 year-old North Haven man was arrested at 2:54 p.m. and charged with risk of injury to a minor, criminal mischief in the second degree, and disorderly conduct.

Tuesday, July 19

• A 36 year-old man of Laurel Street was arrested at 9 a.m. and charged with larceny in the third degree and interfering with an officer/resisting arrest.

• A 39 year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 12:27 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and assault in the third degree.
