North Haven Police Incident Report for July 21


The North Haven Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Wednesday, July 6

No arrests were made.

• A 33 year-old man of Lynette Drive was issued a misdemeanor summons at 10:12 p.m. for evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident in which there was property damage or bodily injury) and operating a motor vehicle in violation of license classification.

Thursday, July 7

• A 30 year-old Hamden man was arrested at 6:27 p.m. on the strength of a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the second degree.

Friday, July 8

• A 48 year-old man of Maple Avenue was arrested at 2:07 a.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, possession of a controlled substance, and operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension.

• A 28 year-old Bridgeport man was arrested at 11 a.m. and charged with assault in the second degree, assault in the third degree, and breach of peace in the second degree.

Saturday, July 9 - Sunday, July 10

Monday, July 11

No arrests were made.

• A 27 year-old woman of State Street was issued a misdemeanor summons at 10:21 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and failure to carry an operator’s license.

• A 21 year-old New Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 10:23 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, failure to renew registration, misuse of plate, and operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license.

• An 18 year-old East Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 7:40 p.m. for reckless driving and illegal racing on a highway.

Tuesday, July 12

No arrests were made.

• From July 6 to 12 North Haven police issued four citations to motorists for operating an unregistered motor vehicle and two citations for traveling too fast for conditions. One citation was issued for each of the following: failure to renew registration, failure to display plates, failure to obey a stop sign, and failure to maintain a reasonable distance apart.
