Police Incident Report for Feb. 25 to March 3


The Guilford Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Thursday, Feb. 25

• A 30 year-old East Haddam man was arrested at 11:15 a.m. and charged with possession of child pornography in the first degree. He was processed on a $100,000 surety bond.

Friday, Feb. 26

• A 45 year-old woman of Pawtucket, Rhode Island and a 31 year-old woman of Providence, Rhode Island were arrested at 6 p.m. Each party was charged with larceny in the third degree, larceny in the fifth degree, and organized retail theft in an amount of less than $10,000.

• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 2310 Long Hill Road at 11:04 a.m. A scam was attempted via telephone. The complainant wanted the incident documented and to share suspect information.

• A larceny was investigated at 1919 Boston Post Road at 4:15 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 27

No arrests were made.

• A complaint about identity fraud was investigated at 191 Laurelbrook Drive at 10:10 a.m.

• A complaint about identity fraud was investigated at 2962 Long Hill Road at 10:21 a.m.

• A theft from a motor vehicle was investigated at 2311 Boston Post Road at 7:05 p.m.

Sunday, Feb. 28

No arrests were made.

Monday, March 1

• A 54 year-old homeless man was arrested at 10:20 a.m. and charged with breach peace in the second degree.

• A theft of alcohol was investigated at Frank's Package Store, 15 Boston Street, at 12:58 p.m.

• A theft from a motor vehicle was investigated at 128 Meadow Hills Drive at 2:14 p.m. Items including passports were stolen from the complaint's vehicle.

Tuesday, March 2

No arrests were made.

• A complaint about identification theft was investigated at 456 Long Hill Road at 1:06 p.m.

• Criminal trespass was investigated at 354 Old Whitfield Street at 6:11 p.m.

• A breach of peace incident was investigated at 1285 Moose Hill Road at 7:27 p.m.

Wednesday, March 3

No arrests were made.

• A complaint about unemployment fraud was investigated at 377 Goose Lane at 10:30 a.m.
