Thursday, Jan. 7

• A landlord/tenant dispute (an ongoing issue) was investigated on South Hoop Pole Road at 9:47 a.m.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 68 Bullard Drive at 12:55 p.m. Damage was done to town property by dirt bikes.
• A fraud complaint was investigated at 69 Huckleberry Court at 3:06 p.m. The complainant received a request for money in iTunes cards from a friend. The friend reported that her email was hacked and that she never sent such a request for money.
Friday, Jan. 8
• Two domestic disputes were investigated during the day. Police redacted the locations of the domestic incidents for privacy concerns.
• An attempted theft from a motor vehicle was investigated at 1674 Moose Hill Road at 11:45 a.m. A vehicle was entered. Nothing was taken.
Saturday, Jan. 9
No arrests were made.
• A complaint about attempted computer fraud (via a fake call from Microsoft) was investigated at 25 Cricket Trail at 2:33 p.m.
• Criminal trespass was investigated on the 1600 block of Great Hill Road at 5:59 p.m. A neighbor who was posted from the complainant’s property was video recorded trespassing on the property.
Sunday, Jan. 10 to Wednesday, Jan. 13
No arrests were made.
Thursday, Jan. 14
No arrests were made.
• Neighbor trouble was investigated on Sperry Drive at 8:57 a.m. The complainant had a dispute with a neighbor over dumping and removal of a rope border along the rear property line.
• Threatening was investigated at the shopping plaza at 1919 Boston Post Road. A man showed up at a store looking for a certain employee. Said man left in a brown sedan.
• A larceny was investigated at 229 River Street (J.J. Sullivan Oil and Propane) at 12:16 p.m.
• A complaint about bank Internet fraud was investigated at 724 West Street at 1:15 p.m.
• Littering was investigated at 80 Coventry Way at 5:26 p.m. A dark-colored Dodge Durango stopped outside the complainant’s driveway and a liquor bottle was thrown out of the vehicle onto the driveway, smashing the bottle. The same thing has occurred before.
Friday, Jan. 15
No arrests were made.
• A theft of cash was investigated at 147 Birch Grove at 2:09 p.m.
• A complaint about a fraudulent call from someone alleging to be from Amazon trying to gain access to the complainant’s computer was investigated at 345 Wilburs Lane at 8:09 p.m.
Saturday, Jan. 16
No arrests were made.
• A breach of peace incident was investigated at 874 Boston Post Road at 10:46 a.m. A female ex-employee became involved in a shoving match.
Sunday, Jan. 17
No arrests were made.
• A burglary was investigated at Dunkin Donuts, 556 Boston Post Road, at 2:22 a.m. The drive-through window was broken and the alarm motion sensors at the drive-through, office, and rear door were triggered. The manager/key-holder also responded to the burglary.
Monday, Jan. 18
No arrests were made.
• A theft of jewelry was investigated at 28 Granite Road at 12:58 p.m.
Tuesday, Jan. 19
• A 63 year-old North Branford woman was arrested at 3:23 p.m. and charged with two counts of issuing a bad check for an amount between $500 and $1,000.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 31 Park Street at 9:01 a.m. The town tree warden reported that sometime over the weekend a newly planted tree on the green directly across from Town Hall was apparently run over by a vehicle and damaged.
• The theft of a watch from a residence was investigated at 255 Stonehedge Lane at 11:36 a.m.
• A complaint about attempted online fraud was investigated at 1 Park Street at 12:58 p.m.
• A breach of peace incident was investigated at 880 Boston Post Road at 9 p.m. A man wearing a black ball cap and tan or beige jacket was unruly in the store and slammed doors. The manager believed the subject was shoplifting. The subject left the area in an older-model, tan sedan.
• Threatening was investigated at 620 Village Walk at 9:24 p.m. A delivery driver for Astro Logistics was accused of speeding and was told he would be shot if he sped through the area again.

No arrests were made.
• A complaint about attempted fraud over the Internet was investigated at 11 Ives Place at 9:01 p.m. The elderly woman was contacted by an person online requesting that she transfer a large sum of money from her bank account.
Thursday, Jan. 21
• A 29 year-old man of Michael Drive was arrested at 8 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and risk of injury to a minor. He was processed on a $10,000 surety bond.
• A vehicle repossession was conducted at 124 Flag Marsh Road at 4:43 a.m.
• A complaint about identity fraud was investigated at Chimney Corner Circle at 10:33 a.m.
• A domestic dispute was investigated at 9:01 p.m. Police redacted the location for privacy concerns.
• A vehicle repossession was conducted at 27 Davis Drive by Auto Lock Limited at 11:54 p.m.
Friday, Jan. 22
• A 26 year-old man of Nashua, New Hampshire was arrested at 10:30 p.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the third degree and disorderly conduct.
Saturday, Jan. 23
No arrests were made.
• A breach of peace incident involving road rage was investigated at 36 Norton Avenue at 3:29 p.m.
Sunday, Jan. 24

Monday, Jan. 25
• A 69 year-old woman of Maple Hill Road was arrested at 9 a.m. and charged with assault in the second degree and evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident in which there was property damage or bodily injury).
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 105 Greystone Way. A fake check was chased from the complainant’s bank account. The bank refunded the money.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 514 Whitfield Street at 3:51 p.m.

• A burglary was investigated at 1200 Boston Post Road at 2:14 a.m. Windows were broken to gain entry.
• A theft was investigated at 1919 Boston Post Road at 12:18 p.m.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 1779 Great Hill Road at 4:01 p.m.
Thursday, Jan. 28
• A 50 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 11 p.m. and charged with robbery in the second degree and criminal attempt to commit larceny in the sixth degree. He was processed on a $10,000 surety bond.
• A 32 year-old East Haven woman was arrested at 11 p.m. and charged with conspiracy to commit robbery in the second degree and conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree. She was processed on a $5,000 surety bond.
• The attempted theft of a motor vehicle was investigated at 8 Oak Avenue at 3 a.m. Persons were spotted attempting to enter vehicles and parties were reported to be running in the woods.
• A theft from a motor vehicle was investigated at 66 Mohawk Trail at 11:03 a.m.
• A breach of peace incident was investigated at Guilford High School at 12:01 p.m. Contractors near the football field engaged in a verbal argument.
• Thefts were investigated at 1919 Boston Post Road at 4:22 p.m. and 162 Tupelo Lane at 4:45 p.m.
• An attempted robbery was investigated at 1164 Boston Post Road at 8:09 p.m.
Friday, Jan. 29
No arrests were made.
• A breach of peace incident was investigated at 31 Park Street at 1:37 p.m. A man was yelling and screaming in the selectman’s office.
• A complaint about identity fraud was investigated at 4 Greenwood Lane at 4:11 p.m.
Saturday, Jan. 30

• Criminal mischief was investigated at 300 Boston Post Road at 2:31 p.m. A billboard was egged.
Sunday, Jan. 31

• Criminal mischief was investigated at 861 Hoop Pole Road at 9:54 a.m.
• A theft from a vehicle was investigated on Seaside Avenue at 4:42 p.m. A brown reusable shopping bag with the letter “S” printed on it was found in the parking lot of Jacobs Beach. The bag contained unopened bags of carrots, parsnips, onions, and mushrooms. The owner later contacted the police and the items were returned.
Monday, Feb. 1
• A 24 year-old Waterbury woman was arrested at 11:30 p.m. and charged with risk of injury to a minor.
Tuesday, Feb. 2
No arrests were made.
Wednesday. Feb. 3
No arrests were made.
• A theft was investigated at 1675 Boston Post Road at 9:09 p.m. A male and a female operating a small red car stole a sign off the complainant’s vehicle.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 300 Granite Road at 9:53 p.m. Graffiti was painted on a concrete wall underneath the highway overpass.
