Police Incident Report for Dec. 31 to Jan. 19


The East Haven Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Thursday, Dec. 31

• A 22 year-old man of Stonegate Circle was investigated at 1:28 a.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the first degree and violation of a protective order.

• A 32 year-old Wallingford man was arrested at 11:26 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

• An 18 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 11:55 p.m. and charged with carrying a pistol without a permit, having an illegal weapon in a motor vehicle, illegal possession of a large-capacity magazine, and interfering with an officer/resisting arrest. He was processed on a $100,000 surety bond.

Friday, Jan. 1 to Saturday, Jan. 2

No arrests were made.

Sunday, Jan. 3

• A 21 year-old man of Coe Avenue was arrested at 10:47 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, possession of a controlled substance, operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple-lane highway.

Monday, Jan. 4

• A 48 year-old man of George Street was arrested at 9 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and possession of a controlled substance.

• A 20 year-old woman of George Street was arrested at 10:14 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

Tuesday, Jan. 5

• A 48 year-old man of George Street (the same man arrested on Jan. 4) was arrested again at 4:30 p.m. and charged with criminal trespass in the first degree and violation of a protective order.

Wednesday, Jan. 6

No arrests were made.

Thursday, Jan. 7

• A 37 year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 12:20 p.m. and charged with criminal trespass in the third degree.

Friday, Jan. 8

• A 29 year-old man of Old Foxon Road was arrested at 2 a.m. and charged with engaging police in pursuit, operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, improper use of marker plate, and failure to obey traffic control signals.

• A 36 year-old woman of Holland Road was arrested at 12:53 p.m. and charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance, three counts of possession with intent to sell narcotics, and failure to obey a traffic control signal. She was processed on a $25,000 surety bond.

• A 42 year-old woman of Pondview Terrace was arrested at 11:30 p.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the third degree and disorderly conduct.

Saturday, Jan. 9

• A 67 year-old woman of George Street was arrested at 4:12 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

• A 56 year-old man of Dodge Avenue was arrested at 11 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident in which there was property damage or bodily injury), interfering with an officer/resisting arrest, and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple-lane highway.

Sunday, Jan. 10 to Monday, Jan. 11

No arrests were made.

Tuesday, Jan. 12

• A 35 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 6:30 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and operating a motor vehicle at too slow a speed following a motor vehicle stop on West Frontage Road.

Wednesday, Jan. 13

• A 49 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 4:18 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs (second time arrested for this offense) and operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension.

• A 49 year-old New Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 4:18 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension.

Thursday, Jan. 14

• A 39 year-old San Francisco man was arrested at 6:30 a.m. and charged with failure to appear in the first degree on the strength of a warrant.

Friday, Jan. 15

• A 54 year-old man of Edwards Street was arrested at 1:38 p.m. and charged with criminal trespass in the first degree and violation of a protective order.

• A 76 year-old man of East Greenwich, Rhode Island was arrested at 3:46 p.m. and charged with larceny in the third degree and forgery in the third degree.

• A 55 year-old man of New York, New York was arrested at 3:48 p.m. and charged with criminal impersonation, criminal attempt to commit larceny in the third degree, two counts of forgery in the third degree, and interfering with an officer/resisting arrest.

• A 32 year-old woman of Thompson Street was arrested at 11:08 a.m. and charged with criminal trespass in the third degree and violation of a protective order.

Saturday, Jan. 16

• A 36 year-old woman of Russo Avenue was arrested at 8:49 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree.

• A 24 year-old man of Strong Street was arrested at 9:52 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

• A 32 year-old man of Thompson Avenue was arrested at 10:41 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct, violation of a protective order, and strangulation in the third degree.

Sunday, Jan. 17

• A 48 year-old Hamden man was arrested at 5:22 p.m. and charged with criminal trespass in the first degree and three counts of violation of a protective order/

Monday, Jan. 18

• A 20 year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 2:09 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

• A 23 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 5:04 p.m. and charged with interfering with an officer/resisting arrest, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, improper use of marker plate, and operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license.

Tuesday, Jan. 19

• A 44 year-old man of Branford Road was arrested at 9 a.m. and charged with criminal attempt to commit robbery in the first degree with an dangerous instrument.
