Police Incident Report for Oct. 7 to 20


The North Haven Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Wednesday, Oct. 7

• A 24 year-old man was arrested at 1:30 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and assault in the third degree.

• A 47 year-old man of Meadow Street was arrested at 7:26 a.m. and charged with violation of probation and evading responsibility in the operation of motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident in which there was property damage or bodily injury).

• A 55 year-old New Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 12:19 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and failure to display plate.

Thursday, Oct. 8

• A 33 year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 9 a.m. and charged with larceny in the fifth degree.

• A 42 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 10:30 a.m. and charged with larceny in the fifth degree.

• A 30 year-old man of North Adams, Massachusetts was arrested at 12:40 p.m. and charged with violation of a protective order.

• A 38 year-old man of Spring Road was issued a misdemeanor summons at 8:39 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license suspension.

• A 26 year-old New Haven woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 4:34 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance.

Friday, Oct. 9

No arrests were made.

• A 28 New Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 10:35 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.

Saturday, Oct. 10

• A 30 year-old Wallingford man was arrested at 2:36 p.m. and charged with harassment in the second degree.

• A 21 year-old New Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 6:26 p.m. for misuse of plate, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and operating a motor vehicle without license.

Sunday, Oct. 11

No arrests were made.

Monday, Oct. 12

• A 31 year-old Wallingford man was arrested at 5 p.m. and charged with larceny in the third degree.

Tuesday, Oct. 13

• A 38 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 12:01 p.m. and charged with violation of probation.

• A 43 year-old Meriden man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 6:26 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

Wednesday, Oct. 14

• A 40 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 10:21 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

• A 65 year-old man of Sackett Point Road was arrested at 2:40 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

• A 22 year-old West Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 12:25 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, misuse of plates, improper use of marker plate, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

Thursday, Oct. 15

• A 35 year-old Wallingford man was arrested at 6:38 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

Friday, Oct. 16

No arrests were made.

Saturday, Oct. 17

• A 49 year-old man of Blue Hills Road was arrested at 7:30 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and unlawful restraint in the second degree.

Sunday, Oct. 18

• A 20 year-old man of State Street was arrested at 10 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and violation of a protective order.

• A 23 year-old East Haven man was arrested at 12:20 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

Monday, Oct. 19

• A 25 year-old man of Kimberly Circle was arrested at 5:30 p.m. and charged with assault in the third degree, threatening in the first degree, burglary in the third degree, violation of a protective order, illegal possession, and use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

Tuesday, Oct. 20

No arrests were made.

From Oct. 7 to 20, North Haven police issued three citations for operating an unregistered motor vehicle, three citations for failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway, two citations for failure to grant right of way, and two citations for traveling unreasonably fast. One citation for issued for each of the following motor vehicle violations: failure to renew registration, operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license, failure to renew driver’s license, misuse of plate, failure to obey a control signal, and failure to obey a stop sign.
