• A larceny was investigated at 1130 West Lake Avenue at 7:54 a.m. The complainant believed a contractor was responsible for the theft.
Saturday, July 18
No arrests were made.
• A larceny was investigated at 15 Boston Street at 9:34 a.m. A theft was conducted by an employee.
• Harassment was investigated on Copper Hill Drive at 12:51 p.m. A contractor reported that he was being harassed by a resident of the condo complex.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated on Rosemary Lane at 1:41 p.m. A death threat via a text message was sent to the complainant.
Sunday, July 19
No arrests were made.
• A stray dog was found on Alden Drive at 2:11 p.m. The caller found a wandering labradoodle.
Monday, July 20
• A 70 year-old man of Whitfield Street was arrested at 8:56 a.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree. The incident was an argument between two patients.
• A theft from a motor vehicle was investigated at 63 Decatur Avenue at 4:08 a.m. The vehicle door was found ajar and the light was on. The vehicle was entered but nothing appeared to be missing. Police seized two items from the vehicle for DNA testing in attempt to identify the trespasser(s).
• Larcenies were investigated at 869 North Madison Road at 8:55 a.m. and 480 Clapboard Hill Road at 9:58 a.m. Black Live Matter signs were reported stolen during the overnight hours.
• A theft from a motor vehicle was investigated at 14 Charles Street at 10:17 a.m. Sunglasses, loose change, and a user manual were taken.
• A complaint about lost property was investigated on the 500 block of West Street at 10:32 a.m. The complainant thought a box of silver had been stolen within the past two years, but it might have been misplaced.
• A breach of peace incident between roommates was investigated at 2785 Boston Post Road at 1:55 p.m. A verbal argument over cats took place. Both parties agreed to stay apart.
• Harassment by an ex-boyfriend living in California was investigated on Mohawk Train at 6:15 p.m.
Tuesday, July 21
No arrests were made.
• A complaint about credit card fraud was investigated at 52 Guilford Court at 11:11 a.m.
• A breach of peace incident was investigated at 830 Boston Post Road at 6:15 p.m. Two customers argued.
• A complaint about fraud via a scammer on the Internet was investigated at 780 West Lake Avenue at 9:12 p.m.
Wednesday, July 22
No arrests were made.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 121 Neck Road at 9:33 a.m. Graffiti was painted on a shack.
• Harassment was investigated on Flat Meadow Road at 9:50 a.m. The complainant received images via text from an unknown number.
Thursday, July 23
No arrests were made.
• A theft from a motor vehicle was investigated at 219 Whitehorn Drive at 6:34 a.m. A wallet was taken from one vehicle. All credit cards were canceled. No transactions were charged to the stolen cards.
• Thefts from motor vehicles were investigated at 58 Middle Road at 7:46 a.m., 75 Cedar Hill Road at 8:24 a.m., 77 White Birch Drive at 8:58 a.m., 560 North Madison Road at 9:27 a.m., and 30 Dohm Avenue at 9:32 a.m. A wallet was stolen from the Dohm Avenue address.
• A larceny was investigated at 723 Maple Hill Road at 10:37 a.m. A police-tribute blue lives matter sign was reported stolen from the front lawn.
• An assault was investigated at 50 Guilford Court at 1:07 p.m. The complainant was pushed to the ground four days earlier.
Friday, July 24
No arrests were made.
• A larceny was investigated at 1237 Great Hill Road at 8:59 a.m. A police support sign was reported stolen from the front lawn.
• A complaint about identity fraud was investigated at 124 Tupelo Lane at 9:54 a.m.
• A larceny was investigated at 1116 Boston Post Road at 10:33 a.m.
• The theft of a motor vehicle was investigated at 2293 Boston Post Road at 11:15 a.m.
Saturday, July 25
No arrests were made.
• A larceny was investigated at 1919 Boston Post Road at 3:47 p.m. Two males and one female fled the scene in a gold/brown Nissan bearing plate number AW97322.

• A violation of health codes was investigated at the beach at Lake Quonnipaug, 4000 Durham Road, at 4:16 p.m. People were on the beach. They left the beach without incident after police spoke to them.

• Harassment via phone was investigated at 99 South Hoop Road at 10:47 a.m.
• A complaint about a barking dog located at 87 Stoneboat Road was investigated at 9:56 p.m. The dog owner was spoken to and the issue was resolved.
• A domestic dispute was investigated at 11:343 p.m. The location was redacted by police for privacy concerns.

• A vehicle repossession was conducted at 159 Flat Iron Road by Skyline Recovery at 3:05 a.m.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 45 River Colony at 1:03 p.m. Damage was done inside the house by friends of the complainant’s daughter.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 465 Clapboard Hill Road at 3:30 p.m. The complainant had a vehicle towed the day before and found that charges were made in Guilford and Branford to a credit card that was left in the vehicle.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 44 Denison Drive at 5:24 p.m.

• Criminal mischief was investigated at 143 Ironwood Road at 11:12 a.m. A mailbox was damaged.
• The theft of a Black Lives Matter sign was investigated at 723 Maple Hill Road at 11:56 p.m. This was the second time such a sign was reported stolen from this property.
Saturday, Aug. 1
No arrests were made.
• The theft of a Black Lives Matters sign was investigated at 480 Clapboard Hill Road at 6:58 a.m. The complaint was later withdrawn. The sign was not stolen.
• A breach of peace incident was investigated on Seaside Avenue at 6:16 p.m. A man was loud and obnoxious, yelling and swearing.

• The theft of a “slow down” sign (for the second time) was reported at 504 Goose Lane at 12:45 p.m.
Monday, Aug. 3

• Neighbor trouble was investigated on Woodruff Drive at 12:10 p.m. The issue involved a property line and the placement of a fence.
Tuesday, Aug. 4

• Numerous reports were received about fallen trees, utility poles, and wires throughout town as a result of Tropical Storm Isiais.
Wednesday, Aug. 5

• Criminal mischief was investigated on Russo Drive at 11:03 p.m.
Thursday, Aug. 6
No arrests were made.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 85 Schoolside Lane at 7:05 a.m. Mailboxes were vandalized.
• A larceny was investigated at 10 Garrison Drive at 8:08 a.m.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 111 Williams Drive at 4:42 p.m. A suspicious vehicle was reported and someone pounded on the door earlier in the day, around 12:30 a.m. A mailbox was later found damaged.

• Criminal mischief was investigated at 115 Sachems Head Road at 8:29 a.m. Fire department equipment was damaged at the water tower.
• The theft of an “All Lives Matter” lawn sign was reported at 776 Hoop Pole Road at 8:50 a.m.
Saturday, Aug. 8
• A 56 year-old man of Mohawk Trail was arrested at 5 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple-lane highway following a motor vehicle stop on the 2800 block of Durham Road (Route 79).
• Reports were received about trees down in streets and on powerlines throughout town.

• A theft from a motor vehicle was investigated at 36 Feather Lane at 6:03 a.m. A window was broken and the vehicle entered. A wallet was taken.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 251 Bluff View Drive at 9:23 a.m. A vehicle was entered overnight.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 86 Russo Drive at 9:34 a.m. The complainant received a fake bank check for an Internet payment.

• The theft of a canoe was investigated at Jacobs Beach, 140 Seaside Avenue, at 4:03 p.m.
Wednesday, Aug. 12
No arrests were made.
• A vehicle repossession was conducted by Northern Storage and Transport at 131 Manor Road at 6:11 p.m. A 2009 Honda Accord was repossessed.
Thursday, Aug. 13
No arrests were made.
• A burglary was investigated at 30 Opening Hill Road at 1:19 a.m.
• Criminal mischief was investigated on Leetes Island Road near Sachems Head Road at 2:44 p.m. A political sticker was stuck to the face of a stop sign. A witness reported that the person who put the sticker up was operating a maroon vehicle bearing Connecticut registration plate AS55107. The vehicle also had a Guilford Indians sticker affixed to the rear. Police reported they were able to peel the sticker from the sign without causing damage to the sign. Police called the registered plate/vehicle owner and left a message asking them to not place stickers on traffic signs.

Saturday, Aug. 15
• A 57 year-old Branford man was arrested at 12:17 p.m. and charged with assault in the third degree and breach of peace in the second degree.
• A 52 year-old man of Fort Path Road was arrested at 10:45 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple-lane highway in front of 1820 Durham Road.

Monday, Aug. 17
• A 24 year-old North Branford man was arrested at 10:08 a.m. and charged with two counts of larceny in the sixth degree and three counts of criminal mischief in the third degree.
• A 26 year-old Branford man was arrested at 11:49 a.m. and charged with two counts of larceny in the sixth degree and three counts of criminal mischief in the third degree.
• Harassment was investigated on Seaside Avenue at 10:13 a.m. A complainant reported that an ex-partner was posting harassing things on social media.
• Harassment was investigated on Sunset Circle at 1:24 p.m. The complainant reported being stalked by an ex-partner and wished the incidents documented. Both parties involved were posted from further contact with each other and from going to each other’s residence.
Tuesday, Aug. 18
• A 33 year-old man of Cheryl Lane was arrested at 9:30 p.m. and charged with assault in the third degree, breach of peace in the second degree, and three counts of risk of injury to a minor. He was processed on a $10,000 surety bond.
Wednesday, Aug. 19
No arrests were made.
• A complaint about credit card fraud was investigated at 54 Farmview Drive at 2:34 p.m.
Thursday, Aug. 20
• A 24 year-old Branford man was arrested at 10 a.m. and charged with two counts of larceny in the sixth degree and three counts of criminal mischief in the third degree.
• A 45 year-old man of Little Meadow Road was arrested at 11:16 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 52 East Creek Circle at 4:46 p.m. Someone listed the complainant’s house as a rental on-line. The house is actually for sale.
• The theft of a Black Lives Matter sign was reported at 70 White Birch Drive at 6:38 p.m.

• Criminal mischief was reported at 1700 and 1772 Little Meadow Road at 5:39 a.m. A mailbox was knocked off its post and dented.
Saturday, Aug. 22

• Criminal mischief was reported at 37 Wilderwood Drive at 7:04 a.m., 100 Crestwood Drive at 7:55 a.m., 380 Jefferson Drive at 8:08 a.m., and number residences on West Lake Avenue at 8:19 a.m. Mailboxes were damaged.

• A 50 year-old Madison man was arrested at 5:10 p.m. and charged with violation of probation.
• A suicide attempt was investigated at 4:25 p.m. Police redacted the location for privacy concerns.
Wednesday, Aug. 26
• A 21 year-old woman of Leetes Island Road was arrested at 1:30 a.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple-lane highway.
• A vehicle repossession was conducted without incident by Collateral Recovery Services at 42 Apple Tree Lane at 3:09 a.m.
• Neighbor trouble was investigated on Hart Landing Road at 8:57 p.m.
Thursday, Aug. 27

• Criminal mischief was investigated at 19 Sunset Ridge Drive. A Trump flag and Trump lawn sign were damaged.
Friday, Aug. 28
• A 21 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 6:55 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis, and sale of a controlled substance.
• A 56 year-old Old Lyme man was arrested at 12:45 p.m. and charged with criminal attempt to commit risk of injury to a minor, criminal attempt to commit sexual assault in the second degree, criminal attempt to entice a minor by computer, possession of less than one-half ounce of cannabis, and use or possession of drug paraphernalia containing less than one-half ounce of cannabis. For a few months, the accused engaged in a conversation with police posing as a 15 year-old girl. He arrived in Guilford to meet with the girl, expecting to have a sexual encounter, and was greeted by police.

• A complaint about Internet fraud was investigated 3120 Durham Road at 2:50 p.m. A caller reported that his house was fraudulently listed on Craigslist for rent.
Sunday, Aug. 30
• A 53 year-old Branford man was arrested at 11:04 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct, criminal impersonation, and operating a motor vehicle while under suspension of two prior DUI convictions. He was processed on a $100,000 surety bond.
• A 39 year-old woman of Brooklyn, New York was arrested at 9:05 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.
• Criminal mischief was investigated on Boston Street at 12:27 p.m. “BLM” was spray painted on the Soldier’s Civil War monument located in the middle of the Town Green.

• A 71 year-old man of Phoenix, Arizona was arrested at 7:48 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

• Suspicious activity was reported at 4365 Durham Road at 7:04 a.m. A caller reported that during the prior evening (Sept. 2) around 7 p.m. a food delivery person attempted to deliver food that was not ordered by the caller. The next morning that caller found that the food (Popeyes) was dumped/left on the hood on the car. The car was not damaged.
• A complaint about identity theft was investigated at 885 Lake Drive at 8:56 a.m.
• A theft from a motor vehicle was investigated at 147 Murray Lane at 9:46 a.m. An unlocked car was entered overnight.
Friday, Sept. 4
• A 58 year-old Madison woman was arrested at 6:50 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Saturday, Sept. 5
• A 41 year-old Guilford woman was arrested at 3:30 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.
• A complaint about a barking dog (an ongoing issue) was investigated on Broad Street near Graves Avenue. Sunday, Sept. 6

• Neighbor trouble was investigated on the 1300 block of West Street at 10:41 a.m.

• A theft from a motor vehicle was investigated at 1355 Boston Post Road 9:29 a.m.
• A complaint about a man who drove up to the site of annual residents’ party and became belligerent was investigated on Russo Drive at 4:03 p.m. The male subject left and the caller withdrew the complaint.
• A larceny was investigated at 5000 Durham Road at 8:10 p.m. Three Trump signs were reported stolen.

• A 26 year-old Chester man was arrested at 12:23 a.m. and charged with possession of great than one-half ounce of cannabis.
• A complaint about juveniles trespassing on private property to jump off a bridge into the water was investigated on Vineyard Point Road at 5:42 p.m.
