Police Incident Report for Aug. 26 to Sept. 8


The North Haven Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Wednesday, Aug. 26 to Thursday, Aug. 27

No arrests were made.

Friday, Aug. 28

• A 56 year-old man of Primrose Street was arrested at 12 noon and charged with disorderly conduct and violation of a standing criminal protective order.

• A 27 year-old man of Whitney Avenue was issued a misdemeanor summons at 1:49 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension.

Saturday, Aug. 29

No arrests were made.

• A 55 year-old East Haven man was arrested at 9:32 a.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and assault in the third degree.

Sunday, Aug. 30

No arrests were made.

Monday, Aug. 31

No arrests were made.

• A 32 year-old Hamden man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 12:32 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension.

• A 27 year-old West Hartford man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 5:38 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple-lane highway, and operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license.

Tuesday, Sept. 1

• A 21 year-old Bristol man was arrested at 4 p.m. and charged with larceny in the third degree and failure to appear in the second degree on an outstanding warrant.

Wednesday, Sept. 2

• A 28 year-old Bridgeport man was arrested at 5:30 p.m. and charged with violation of a protective order.

Thursday, Sept. 3

No arrests were made.

• A 36 year-old man of Charles Court was issued a citation at 6:04 p.m. for permitting a dog to roam at large.

Friday, Sept. 4

• A 28 year-old man of Skiff Street was arrested at 7 a.m. and charged with violation of a standing criminal protective order.

• A 45 year-old woman of Kings Highway was arrested at 3:02 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree.

Saturday, Sept. 5

No arrests were made.

• A 26 year-old man of Albany, New York was issued a misdemeanor summons at 5:47 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

Sunday, Sept. 6

• A 23 year-old Hebron man was arrested at 1:30 a.m. and charged with criminal attempt to commit burglary in the second degree, interfering with an officer/resisting arrest, and breach of peace in the second degree.

• A 29 year-old Wallingford man was arrested at 10:35 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple-lane highway.

• A 45 year-old woman of Kings Highway was issued a citation at 5:53 p.m. for creating a public disturbance.

Monday, Sept. 7

No arrests were made.

• A 33 year-old New Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 4:47 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance and misuse of plate.

• A 28 year-old West Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 5:26 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance.

Tuesday, Sept. 8

No arrests were made.

From Sept. 2 to 8, North Haven police issued three citations to motorists for operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license. One citation was issued for each of the following motor vehicle violations: operating an unregistered motor vehicle, improper license classification for vehicle driven, failure to drive upon the right, failure to obey a control signal, making an improper turn, and failure to maintain a reasonable distance apart.
