Police Incident Report for Jan. 8 to 14


The North Haven Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Wednesday, Jan. 8

• A 48 year-old woman of Maple Avenue was arrested at 8:50 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

• A 46 year-old man of Meadow Street was arrested at 8:50 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

• A 33 year-old New Haven woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 9:55 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance and improper license classification for vehicle driven.

Thursday, Jan. 9

• A 45 year-old man of Jones Farm Circle was arrested at 6:30 a.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident), operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, operating a commercial vehicle without insurance, and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple-lane highway.

• A 22 year-old New Haven woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 7:30 p.m. for evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident in which there was property damage or bodily injury).

Friday, Jan. 10

• A 48 year-old man of Montoya Drive was arrested at 1:40 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and patronizing a prostitute.

• A 50 year-old man of Lawncrest Drive was arrested 9:07 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and interfering with an emergency call.

• A 49 year-old New Haven woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 11:50 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

Saturday, Jan. 11

• A 27 year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 3:25 p.m. on a warrant charging her with failure to appear in the second degree.

• A 39 year-old Wallingford was arrested at 9:30 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to grant right of way at a private road.

Sunday, Jan. 12 to Monday, Jan. 13

No arrests were made.

Tuesday, Jan. 14

• A 28 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 11 a.m. and charged with larceny in the second degree and forgery in the second degree.

From Jan. 8 to 14, North Haven police issued eight citations to motorists for operating an unregistered motor vehicle, four citations for failure to renew registration, three citations for failure to grant right of way, three citations for operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license, and three citations for failure to maintain a reasonable distance apart. One citation was issued for each of the following motor vehicle violations: failure to obey state traffic commission road marking or signs, speeding, failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple-lane highway, failure to display lights, unsafe movement from a stopped or standing position, improper of use of marker plate, failure to carry a driver’s license, traveling unreasonably fast.
