The Guilford Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Thursday, Dec. 12

No arrests were made.

• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 9:32 a.m. All details and the location were redacted by police.

• Neighbor trouble was investigated on Maplecrest Drive at 11:41 a.m. The complainant reported ongoing issues with a neighbor trespassing on the property.

• Criminal mischief was investigated at 5 Meadowlands at 11:47 a.m. The complainant wished to report (and have documented) damage to property on trails.

Friday, Dec. 13

• A 38 year-old Durham man was arrested at 4:10 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and assault in the third degree. He was processed on a $15,000 surety bond.

• Harassment was investigated at 10:17 a.m. All details and the location were redacted by police.

• Breach of peace was investigated at Guilford Saving Bank, 1 Park Street, at 2:16 p.m. At 10 a.m. a customer entered a bank officer’s office yelling and screaming.

• A complaint about sexual assault was investigated at 3:02 a.m. All details of the investigation were redacted by police.

• A complaint about an unwanted person was investigated at 32 Church Street at 11:51 a.m. A parishioner became rowdy during church.

• A noise complaint was investigated on Woodland Road at 9:59 p.m. A neighbor reported that movers at 46 Woodland Road were yelling and driving erratically. Police spoke to the movers about their noise level. They were finished their work when police spoke to them. All parties and vehicles cleared the area without incident.

Monday, Dec. 16

No arrests were made.

• Harassment was investigated on the 300 block of Race Hill Road at 8:43 a.m.

• A complaint about fraud via the Internet was investigated at 1208 Durham Road at 4:46 p.m.

Tuesday, Dec. 17

No arrests were made.

• An animal complaint was reported on Greystone Way at Durham Road at 12:36 a.m. Two goats got loose and were wrangled back into their pen.

• A theft from a motor vehicle was investigated at 439 North Madison Road at 8:14 a.m. Two vehicles were entered during the night and items were taken. Two vehicles were also entered at 684 North Madison Road but nothing was taken.

• Thefts from motor vehicles were investigated at 111 Russo Drive at 11:08 a.m. and 46 Russo Drive at 12:59 p.m.

• A larceny was investigated at 202 Northwood Drive at 3:34 p.m. Details of the incident were redacted by police.

• A larceny at Guilford High School, 605 New England Road, was investigated at 12:55 p.m.

• A motor vehicle crash involving two vehicles was investigated on Boston Street at Soundview Road. Minor injuries were reported at 8:11 a.m.

• Criminal mischief was investigated on the 200 block of Elm Street at 7:27 p.m.

• A domestic dispute was investigated at 9:13 a.m. The location and all details of the incident were redacted by police.

• A complaint about fraud involving a letter and check was investigated at 11 Dunham Drive at 11:22 a.m.

• A motor vehicle crash in which property was damaged was investigated on Boston Post Road at River Street at 2:18 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 21

• A 62 year-old North Branford woman was arrested at 6:30 p.m. and charged with larceny in the third degree, larceny in the fifth degree, larceny in the sixth degree, credit card theft, credit card theft by transfer, one counts of charging over $500 to a revoked credit card, and six counts of charging less than $500 on a revoked credit card. She was processed on combined a $14,500 surety bond.

• A 25 year-old man of Little Meadow Road was arrested at 7:49 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

• A motor vehicle crash involving two vehicles on private property was investigated at Munro Muffler, 556 Boston Post Road at 12:04 p.m.

• A motor vehicle crash on private property was investigated at 996 Boston Post Road at 2:24 p.m.

• A domestic dispute was investigated at 7:49 p.m. The location and all details were redacted by police.

Sunday, Dec. 22

• Harassment was investigated on the 100 block of Durham Road at 1:29 p.m.

• A breach of peace incident was investigated at 1046 Boston Post Road at 11:38 p.m. Two men in a vehicle drove through the gas station parking lot multiple times. They also threatened to assault the store clerk.

Monday, Dec. 23

• A 48 year-old Wallingford man was arrested at 1:10 p.m. and charged with criminal trespass in the first degree, criminal mischief in the third degree, disorderly conduct, and assault in the third degree.

• A 36 year-old woman of was arrested at 7:30 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

• Criminal mischief was investigated at 12:28 a.m. The location and all details were redacted by police.

• Harassment perpetrated by an ex-spouse was investigated on the 200 block of Nut Plains Road at 7:30 a.m.

Tuesday, Dec. 24

• A 24 year-old Hamden woman was arrested at 12:30 a.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failure to obey a traffic control signal, and failure to obey a stop sign.

• A 68 year-old man of Boston Post Road was arrested at 5:15 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

• A two-vehicle crash was investigated on Boston Post Road by the Shoreline Diner at 7:53 a.m. No one was injured in the crash.

• A 62 year-old Northford woman was arrested at 10:35 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

Friday, Jan. 3

• An 18 year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 3:18 p.m. and charged with two counts of larceny in the sixth degree.

• A larceny was investigated at 345 Boston Post Road at 7:08 a.m. The owner pulled into the Shoreline Diner to find a man with short hair taking waste oil from the property. The man was driving a white van and headed south on Boston Post Road before the plate could be recorded.

• A larceny was investigated at 9:35 a.m. The location and details of the incident were redacted by police.

• A report of a deer stuck in a fence was investigated at 11:24 a.m. Department of Energy & Environmental Protection was on the scene and the state animal control officer was notified. The state vet responded to the scene.

• Suspicious activity was investigated at Walmart, 900 Boston Post Road, at 4:32 p.m. Management reported that a male in his 30s wearing a white jacket and black hat concealed items while inside the store.

• A 55 year-old Middletown woman was arrested at 5:56 p.m. and charged with failure to appear in the second degree on an outstanding warrant. She was also charged with operating a motor vehicle without insurance and operating an unregistered motor vehicle. She was processed on a combined $1,250 bond.

• Thefts from motor vehicles were investigated at 6, 6:07, and 7:36 a.m. The locations and all details of the thefts were redacted by police.

• A theft from a motor vehicle was investigated at 9:20 a.m. at 4 Lantern Road. Only the details of the theft were redacted by police.

• A domestic dispute was investigated on Hoop Pole Road at Lake Drive at 7:46 p.m.

• A 19 year-old Bridgeport man was arrested at 10:15 a.m. and charged with larceny in the third degree.

• Suspicious activity was investigated at 833 Little Meadow Road at 8:02 a.m. The complainant’s mail was dumped in the front yard.

• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 402 Boston Post Road at 11 a.m. The details of the incident were redacted by police.

• A domestic dispute was investigated on Broad Street at 11:30 a.m.

• Harassment was investigated on the 2500 block of Long Hill Road at 11:54 a.m.

Wednesday, Jan. 15

• A 37 year-old Branford woman was arrested at 7 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failure to slow/move over for an emergency vehicle in active engagement, and failure to carry registration or insurance card following a motor vehicle stop on the 1400 block of Boston Post Road.
