Police Incident Report for Dec. 11 to 24


The North Haven Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Wednesday, Dec. 11

• A 22 year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 11:45 a.m. and charged with prostitution by a person age 18 or older and interfering with an officer/resisting arrest.

• A 21 year-old man of Washington Avenue was arrested at 8 p.m. and charged with promoting prostitution in the first degree, reckless endangerment in the second degree, interfering with an officer/resisting arrest, evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident in which there was property damage or bodily injury), engaging police in pursuit, reckless driving, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and failure to appear in the second degree on an outstanding warrant.

• A 52 year-old Middletown man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 10:16 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance and improper use of a marker plate.

Thursday, Dec. 12

• A 19 year-old man of Phillips Place was arrested at 1 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree and taking an illegal payment from a credit card.

• A 45 year-old man of Springfield, Massachusetts was arrested at noon and charged with criminal attempt to commit larceny in the third degree.

• A 41 year-old Torrington man was arrested at noon and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

• A 34 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 9:54 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle without permission and failure to appear in the second degree on an outstanding warrant.

• A 28 year-old New Haven woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 12:13 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance and operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license.

Friday, Dec. 13

• A 30 year-old man of Jersey Drive was arrested at 3:30 a.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the second degree.

• A 28 year-old man of Pool Road was arrested at 12:15 p.m. and charged with violation of probation.

• A 21 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 1:23 p.m. and charged with larceny in the third degree, larceny in the sixth degree, operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle, and failure to maintain a reasonable distance apart.

• A 29 year-old man of Dale Street was arrested at 10:24 p.m. and charged with violation of probation and failure to appear in the second degree on an outstanding warrant.

Saturday, Dec. 14

• A 63 year-old Hamden man was arrested at 5:10 a.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the second degree.

• A 33 year-old West Haven woman was arrested at 11:15 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple-lane highway.

• A 63 year-old Hamden man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 4:23 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.

Sunday, Dec. 15 to Monday, Dec. 16

No arrests were made.

Tuesday, Dec. 17

• A 34 year-old Niantic woman was arrested at 9:10 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

• A 38 year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 9:10 p.m. and charged with criminal impersonation, interfering with an officer/resisting arrest, conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree, two counts of violation of probation, and two counts of failure to appear in the second degree on outstanding warrants.

Wednesday, Dec. 18

• A 39 year-old woman of Bassett Road was arrested at 12:50 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

• An 18 year-old Madison man was arrested at 10:45 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

Thursday, Dec. 19

No arrests were made.

• A 23 year-old Hamden man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 3:50 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, failure to renew registration, and misuse of plate.

• A 58 year-old Hamden man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 10:01 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

Friday, Dec. 20

• A 56 year-old Enfield man was arrested at 10 a.m. and charged with larceny in the third degree and robbery in the first degree.

Saturday, Dec. 21

• A 37 year-old Naugatuck man was arrested at 10 a.m. and charged with violation of probation. While in custody he was also charged with failure to appear in the second degree on an outstanding warrant.

• A 34 year-old man of Spring Road was arrested at 2:45 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and assault in the third degree.

Sunday, Dec. 22

No arrests were made.

• A 43 year-old man of Southgate Lane was issued a misdemeanor summons at 6:15 p.m. for evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident in which there was property damage or bodily injury), failure to maintain a reasonable distance apart, and operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license.

Monday, Dec. 23

• A 32 year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 9 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

• A 29 year-old Shelton man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 4:58 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, misuse of plate.

Tuesday, Dec. 24

No arrests were made.
