Police Incident Report for Nov. 20 to 30


The East Haven Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Wednesday, Nov. 20

• A 61 year-old man of Tuttle Place was arrested at 5:45 p.m. and charged with possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, improper use or a marker plate, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

Thursday, Nov. 21

• A 42 year-old woman of Glenmoor Drive was arrested at 1 a.m. and charged with possession of drugs near a school, use or possession of drug paraphernalia, and improper use of marker plate.

• A 55 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 8:37 a.m. and charged with criminal trespass in the third degree, possession of burglar tools, criminal attempt to commit burglary in the third degree, and use or possession of drug paraphernalia containing less than one-half ounce of cannabis.

• A 32 year-old man was arrested at 8:04 p.m. and charged with possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis, use or possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, and speeding at over 70 mile per hour.

• A 57 year-old New Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 3:53 p.m. for evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident in which there was property damage or bodily injury), failure to renew registration, and operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license.

Friday, Nov. 22

• A 57 year-old man of Cosey Beach Avenue was arrested at 7:47 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple-lane highway.

Saturday, Nov. 23

• A 52 year-old man of Brown Road was arrested at 9:59 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and interfering with an officer/resisting arrest.

Sunday, Nov. 24

• A 46 year-old Bridgeport woman was arrested at 12:02 a.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the third degree and breach of peace in the second degree.

Monday, Nov. 25

• An 18 year-old West Haven woman was arrested at 12:24 p.m. and charged with possession of a narcotics, possession of a narcotic with intent to sell or dispense, and tampering with physical evidence.

• A 37 year-old Hamden man was arrested at 12:33 p.m. and charged with possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis, possession of drugs with intent to sell or dispense, failure to display plates, and having tinted window with DMV approval. He was processed on a $50,000 surety bond.

• A 34 year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 4:48 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

Tuesday, Nov. 26

• A 31 year-old man of Thompson Street was arrested at 9 a.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and threatening in the second degree.

• A 23 year-old Waterbury woman was arrested at 2:11 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct, violation of a protective order, and assault in the third degree.

• A 65 year-old man of unknown address was arrested at 7:02 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree in a public place.

Wednesday, Nov. 27

• A 36 year-old man of Henry Street was arrested at 10:08 p.m. and charged with interfering with a officer/resisting arrest and breach of peace in the second degree.

Thursday, Nov. 28

• A 29 year-old Branford man was arrested at 3:24 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple-lane highway.

Friday, Nov. 29

• A 28 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 3:10 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and assault in the third degree. He was processed on a $40,000 surety bond.

• A 23 year-old Meriden man was arrested at 6:40 p.m. and charged with theft of license plates, possession of greater than one-half once of cannabis, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, and having tinted windows without DMV approval. While in custody, he was also charged with failure to appear in the second degree on an outstanding warrant.

Saturday, Nov. 30

• A 20 year-old man of North High Street was arrested at 2 p.m. and charged with threatening in the second degree, harassment in the second degree, and criminal violation of a restraining order.

• A 54 year-old woman of unknown address was arrested at 4:51 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple-lane highway following a motor vehicle stop on Coe Avenue at Silver Sands Road.

• A 52 year-old man of Laurel Street was arrested at 6:59 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

• A 30 year-old man of Henry Street was arrested at 8:38 p.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the third degree, breach of peace in the second degree, and possession of cannabis.

• A 21 year-old man of Pond Street was arrested at 8:46 p.m. and charged with assault in the third degree.
