Police Incident Report for Dec. 4 to 10


The North Haven Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Wednesday, Dec. 4

No arrests were made.

Thursday, Dec. 5

• A 43 year-old Wethersfield woman was arrested at 7:27 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, reckless driving, two counts of risk of injury to a minor, and two counts of reckless endangerment in the first degree.

• A 43 year-old Northford man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 8:25 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and misuse of plate.

• A 31 year-old Hamden woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 4:02 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, failure to renew registration, and operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license.

Friday, Dec. 6

No arrests were made.

• A 28 year-old New Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 4:52 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and misuse of plate.

Saturday, Dec. 7

No arrests were made.

Sunday, Dec. 8

• A 21 year-old Shelton man was arrested at 7:42 p.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the third degree and criminal attempt to commit burglary in the third degree.

Monday, Dec. 9

• A 55 year-old woman of Avalon Haven Drive was arrested at 9:53 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

Tuesday, Dec. 10

No arrests were made.

From Dec. 4 to 10, North Haven police issued four citations to motorists for traveling unreasonably fast, four citations for failure to renew registration, three citations for operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and two citations for failure to grant right of way at an intersection. One citation was issued for each of the following motor vehicle violations: failure to signal a turn, operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license, failure to carry a driver’s license, failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple-lane highway, failure to obey a control signal, and traveling too fast for conditions.
