Thursday, Sept. 26

• A larceny was investigated on Sullivan Drive at 8:31 a.m. A man’s cell phone was stolen the day before, and a call was received from the stolen phone. The caller asked the complainant for money.
• A motor vehicle crash on private property was investigated at 356 Stepstone Hill Road at 7:52 p.m. A car struck a wall.
• A motor vehicle crash on Granite Road at Moose Hill Road was investigated at 8:56 p.m. Property was damaged in the crash.
Friday, Sept. 27
• A 39 year-old woman of Maple Hills Road was arrested at 1:19 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis, use or possession of drug paraphernalia containing less than one-half ounce of a cannabis, reckless driving, and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple-lane highway. Four officers responded to the incident.
• A vehicle repossession was conducted on Beta Avenue at 10:31 p.m. The owner of the vehicle was aware of the repossession.

• Reports of missing adults were investigated at 11:38 a.m. and 3:51 p.m. The locations and all details of the incidents were redacted by police.
• Suspicious activity was investigated at 79 Winthrop Road at 2:07 p.m. A caller stated that a neighbor advised that her dog was outside the house, and if that was true someone would have had to have entered the residence. Police checked the residence and all was secure. The dog was inside the house. The complainant was notified of these findings.

• A complaint about noise from a garbage truck was reported on Long Hill Road at 5:54 a.m.

• A complaint about an unwanted person was investigated on Marvel Road at 9:42 a.m. A father-in-law had two persons at the house the prior evening.
• A larceny was investigated at 830 Boston Post Road at 6:49 p.m. All details of the theft were redacted by police.

• Criminal mischief was investigated at 1 Caleb Court at 3:05 p.m. A custom street sign was damaged.

• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 86 Lower Road at 4:39 p.m.
Friday, Oct. 4
• A 38 year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 2:55 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree and forgery in the third degree.
• A 29 year-old man of Church Street was arrested at 8 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.
• Criminal mischief was investigated on Whitfield Street at the Green at 2:16 a.m.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 54 Shore Drive at 11:44 a.m. The complainant reported that she received a letter from Canada Trust Bank stating that she could inherit $47 million, and that the bank manager would split that sum 50/50 for helping to secure it.
• A report of a suspicious person was investigated at 2:25 p.m. The location and all details of the incident were redacted by police. Three officers responded to the call.
• Criminal mischief was investigated on Dodge Court at Little Meadow Road. Occupants of an unknown vehicle were throwing eggs. The vehicle was gone when police arrived on the scene.
• Criminal mischief was investigated on Indian Meadows Drive at 8:21 p.m. Medical professionals in an ambulance observed young occupants of a black BMW throwing eggs. Police could not locate the vehicle. Another police officer reported the same issue in another location involving a black BMW.
Saturday, Oct. 5
• A 68 year-old man and a 52 year-old woman of Alden Drive were arrested at 5 p.m. Each party was charged with disorderly conduct and assault in the third degree under the Domestic Violence Act.
• A 30 year-old man of Long Hill Road was arrested at 10:45 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs (second time arrested for this offence).
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 159 Boston Street at 11:31 a.m. A KIA Sorrento was egged during the overnight hours.
• A domestic dispute was investigated at 4:28 p.m. The location and all details of the incident were redacted by police.

• Criminal mischief was investigated at 535 Whitfield Street at 9:43 a.m. A porta-potty was tipped over.
Monday, Oct. 7

• A noise complaint was investigated on the 1100 block of Long Hill Road at 6:04 a.m. The complainant reported an ongoing issue with John’s Refuse picking up trash prior to 7 a.m., in violation of the town’s noise ordinance. Police left a message for the company regarding the noise ordinance. Police stated will address the issue with a noise meter if the problem persists.

• A 22 year-old Madison man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 1:50 p.m. for evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple-lane highway.
• A possible drug overdose was investigated on the 100 block of Duck Rock Road at 7:49 a.m.
• Threatening was reported on the 200 block of Church Street at 8:20 a.m.
• A larceny was investigated at 1611 Great Hill Road at 9:48 a.m.
Wednesday, Oct. 9
• A 34 year-old man of Georgetown, South Carolina was arrested at 6:58 p.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the first degree.
• Receipt of a counterfeit $20 bill was reported at Walmart, 900 Boston Post Road, at 10:25 a.m.
• A dumping violation was investigated at 397 Route 80 at 1:34 p.m. This was the second time someone dumped a bag of trash on the complainant’s lawn.
• Harassment was investigated on Milford Road at 1:53 p.m.
Thursday, Oct. 10
• A 31 year-old Hartford man was arrested at 11 a.m. and charged with larceny in the second degree, conspiracy to commit larceny in the second degree, burglary in the second degree, and conspiracy to commit robbery in the second degree.
• A 38 year-old man of Route 80 was arrested at 2:16 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree.
• A domestic dispute was investigated at 7:27 a.m. The location and details of the incident were redacted by police.

• A 31 year-old man of Wheeler Path was arrested at 6:06 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and carrying a firearm while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• Criminal mischief incidents were investigated at 8:15, 8:54, 10:01, and 10:09 a.m. and 2:10 and 2:15 p.m. The locations and all details of each incident were redacted by police.

• A 59 year-old woman of Still Meadow Road was arrested at 8:15 a.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs (second time arrested for this offense), failure to obey a stop sign, possession of less than one-half ounce of cannabis, and use or possession of drug paraphernalia containing less than one-half ounce of cannabis.
• A 38 year-old man of Stillmeadow Drive was arrested at 7:40 p.m. and charged with five counts of violation of a protective order.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 535 Whitfield Street at 9:27 a.m.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated 29 Grove Hill Road at 2:57 p.m. An unauthorized account was opened in the complainant’s name.
• A larceny was investigated at 2458 Boston Post Road at 5:15 p.m.

• A complaint about Internet fraud was investigated at 776 Hoop Pole Road at 11:36 a.m.
• A non-fatal motor vehicle crash was investigated in front of 1575 Boston Post Road at 9:58 p.m. A vehicle struck a deer. The airbag was deployed by the force of the collision.
• A debit card was found at 32 Church Street at 9:35 p.m. The card was turned over to police, a message was left for the owner, and the owner retrieved the card.

• A 35 year-old Oakdale man was arrested at 8:09 p.m. and charged with criminal violation of a restraining order.

• A larceny was investigated at 2257 Boston Post Road at 9:22 a.m. Mailboxes were entered and mail was thrown onto the parking lot.

• Criminal mischief was investigated at 100 White Birch Drive at 1:56 p.m. Two males took a large rock. Their truck damaged the lawn.
• Suspicious activity was investigated at Walmart, 900 Boston Post Road, at 2:38 p.m. An older white male was asking customers to cash a check. He had no gas in his vehicle. He was advised that Walmart could not cash his check and that he should make other arrangements.
• Suspicious activity was investigated near 1919 Boston Post Road at 5:07 p.m. A white male with a scrawny build, wearing a white T shirt and underwear and carrying a pillow, was walking with an older woman toward Fresh Market.

• A complaint about fraud with a credit card was investigated at 540 Nut Plains Road at 3:11 p.m.
• A woman of 46 Woodland Road called police at 6:44 p.m. regarding her dispute with Lowes. The woman asked police if it was a crime for a delivery person to take a photograph (without permission) of the wall where her dryer was to be installed. Police advised the woman that it is customary for delivery personnel to take before-and-after photographs of items delivery to protect themselves from liability, and that this was not a criminal matter. The complainant immediately became irate on the phone, called the officer “ignorant,” said “Don’t call me again,” and hung up the phone. The woman then called the front desk and argued with the dispatcher, who advised the woman that this was not a criminal matter but a civil matter. The complainant hung up on the dispatcher.

• A 69 year-old Branford man was arrested at 10:57 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, beach of peace in the second degree, interfering with an officer/resisting arrest, failure to renew registration, and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple-lane highway.
• A complaint about identity fraud was investigated at 402 Boston Post Road at 4:35 p.m. Fraudulent phone lines were established in the complainant’s name.

• Harassment was investigated on Boston Terrace at 12:04 p.m.
• An animal complaint was investigated at 110 Cherry Street at 1:08 p.m. The animal control officer released a stuck raccoon from a Dumpster located behind the condo complex.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 37 Hopmeadow Circle at 1:49 p.m. The complainant received a scam Eversource call.
• Suspicious activity involving an Eversource scam was investigated at 128 Talcott Road at 2:02 p.m. The complainant gave out personal information. Police checked the property and surrounding area. No suspicious activity was observed and everything appeared to be in order.

• Harassment involving a former neighbor was investigated on Three Mile Course at 9:23 a.m.
• A breach of peace incident was investigated at 303 Church Street at 9:45 a.m.
• Criminal mischief was investigated on Lisa Court near Valley Shore Drive at 10:14 a.m.
• A breach of peace incident was investigated on half Mile Road at 12:55 p.m.
• A complaint about an unwanted person was investigated on the 1700 block of Long Hill Road at 1:23 p.m. The complainant no longer lives at the residence and was evicting the current resident.
• A report about a yellow bicycle placed near a mailbox for the past three weeks was investigated at 1:47 p.m.
• A burglary was investigated at 1605 Hoop Pole Road at 2:34 p.m.
