• A 20 year-old man of Wildwood Avenue was arrested at 2:19 a.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the second degree, breach of peace in the second degree, interfering with an emergency call, and assault in the third degree under the Domestic Violence Act.

• A 27 year-old man of Copse Road was arrested at 2:54 a.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

• A 40 year-old woman of Feeding Hills, Massachusetts was arrested at 6:09 p.m. and charged with reckless driving.

• Vandalism was investigated at 116 Yankee Peddler Path at 1:19 p.m.

• A theft from a motor vehicle was investigated at 26 Pine Drive at 11:47 a.m.

• A theft from a motor vehicle was investigated at 434 Warpas Road at 12:56 p.m.

• A motor vehicle crash without injuries was investigated at 1276 Durham Road at 2:14 p.m.

• A 35 year-old Milford man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 2:33 p.m. for evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident in which there was property damage or bodily injury), failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple-lane highway, and having studded snow tires following a motor vehicle stop in front of 37 Boston Post Road.

• A 39 year-old New Haven woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 12:16 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license (second time charged with this offense) and failure to obey a stop sign following a motor vehicle stop on Summer Hill Road at Twilight Drive.

• A motor vehicle crash with injuries was investigated on Green Hill Road at Deer Creek Drive at 9:40 p.m.

Friday, Sept. 6

• A 55 year-old Clinton man was arrested at 7:34 a.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the third degree and criminal attempt to commit burglary in the third degree..

• The theft of a bicycle was investigated at 724 Boston Post Road at 7:06 p.m.

Saturday, Sept. 7

• A 42 year-old Wallingford man was arrested at 10:18 a.m. and charged with interfering with an officer and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple-lane highway.

• A theft was investigated at 613 Boston Post Road at 1:04 p.m.

• Neighbor trouble was investigated on the 300 block of Neck Road at 12:41 p.m.

• A motor vehicle crash was investigated in front of 268 Boston Post Road at 12:27 p.m.

• A motor vehicle crash without injuries was investigated on Durham Road at Interstate 95 exit 61 at 4:24 p.m.

• An animal nuisance was investigated on the 100 block of Squires Road at 6:42 p.m.

• A motor vehicle crash with injuries was investigated in front of 283 Durham Road at 7:11 p.m.

• A 45 year-old West Haven man was arrested at 10:24 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and threatening in the second degree following a domestic violence incident at 87 Surf Club Road.

• A brush fire was reported at 669 Old Toll Road at 2:54 p.m.

• An animal nuisance was investigated on Squires Road at Bradley Corners Road at 10:02 p.m.

• A 24 year-old Waterbury woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 11:26 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension.

• A motor vehicle crash involving an animal was investigated in front for 2304 Durham Road at 1:07 p.m.

• An animal nuisance was investigated on the 500 block of Boston Post Road at 2:20 p.m.

• A brush fire was reported at 415 Copse Road at 9:30 p.m.

• A 37 year-old East Hartford man was arrested at 2:19 a.m. and charged with criminal attempt to commit larceny in the fifth degree.

• A 45 year-old man of Bradley Road was arrested at 7:14 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

• A motor vehicle crash without injuries was investigated in front of 2211 Durham Road at 7:53 a.m.

• A transformer fire was reported in front of 85 Bradley Road at 9:17 a.m.

• A motor vehicle crash without injuries was investigated on Durham Road at Interstate 95 exit 61 at 4:53 p.m.

• An 80 year-old Ivoryton woman was issued a citation at 12:47 p.m. for failure to grant right of way. She was operating a 2012 Toyota Corolla southbound on Route 81 when she turned left onto Stevens Road and failed to grant right of way to an on oncoming 2010 Honda Accord operated by a 37 year-old Guilford woman. Both drivers and a 56 year-old female passenger of Vernon onboard the Toyota sustained minor injuries in the crash and were transported to the Middlesex Hospital Shoreline Medical Clinic.

Tuesday, Aug. 20

• A two-vehicle crash was investigated on Route 81 near Stevenson Road at 1:05 p.m. A 65 year-old New Haven woman was operating a 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe eastbound on Stevenson Road when she attempted to merge onto Route 81 and collided with a 2010 Chrysler Town & Country operated by a 60 year-old Clinton woman. Both drivers were transported to Yale New Haven Hospital for treatment of suspected injuries sustained in the crash. No enforcement action was indicated in the police press report.

• A burglary was investigated at June’s Outback Pub located at 184 Route 81, at 1:52 a.m. Upon arrival troopers observed forced entry was made through the front door and the ATM machine was taken. The camera system recordings could not be accessed, so police could not obtain a description of the suspect(s). The amount of money inside the ATM machine was unknown. Anyone with information about this theft is asked to call Trooper Timothy Haroain at 860-399-2100. All calls will be kept confidential.

• A burglary was investigated at Country Cloverleaf, 237 Route 81 at 4:56 a.m. At 2:19 a.m. two young males were seen walking around the building and throwing a rock through the front window. The suspects reached in and took one display case containing Juul e-cigarette products. Both suspects were wearing long pants, jackets, and hoods. One male was wearing a dark-colored Nike backpack and the other a light-colored Champion backpack. No other items were taken and they never entered the store. No vehicles were seen arriving at or leaving the store at the time of the burglary. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to tall Trooper Christopher Centi at 860-399-2100. All calls will be kept confidential.

Friday, Aug. 23 to Sunday, Aug. 25

Monday, Aug. 26

• A 23 year-old Higganum man was arrested at 7:16 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to drive right following a motor vehicle crash on Route 81 near North Parker Hill Road. He was operating a 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS when he failed to stay right and crossed over the oncoming lane. He swerved to avoid a head-on collision with an oncoming vehicle. The Monte Carlo swerved back into the oncoming lane and struck head-on a 2011 Nissan Altima operated by a 28 year-old Windsor woman. Both the operator of the Nissan and her 17 year-old male passenger were transported to Middlesex Hospital for treatment of minor injuries sustained in the crash. The charged driver claimed he was not injured.

Tuesday, Aug. 27

No arrests were made.

• A 74 year-old Guilford man was issued a citation at 4:39 p.m. for failure to drive right. He was operating a 2002 Honda Civic westbound on Route 80 when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road to the right, crossed the double-yellow center line into the eastbound lane, and side-swiped a 2006 Nissan Frontier operated by 64 year-old Deep River man. The operator of the Frontier sustained minor injuries in the crash and was transported to the Middlesex Hospital Shoreline Medical Clinic. The cited driver was not injured in the crash. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

• A motor vehicle crash was investigated on Roast Meat Hill Road 100 feet west of Forest Glen Drive at 6:27 p.m. A 52 year-old Marlborough man was operating a 2009 Suzuki VL800 eastbound on Roast Meat Hill Road when he made a maneuver to avoid hitting a dog that jumped into the road and the motorcycle fell over. He sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital for evaluation.

Monday, Sept. 2 to Wednesday, Sept. 4

• A motor vehicle crash in which a drive evaded (fled) the scene was investigated on Route 81 at Route 80. An unknown operator of a white four-door Ford pick-up truck struck a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt operated by a 70 year-old man of Stonewall Drive. The operator of the Ford fled the scene. Police were unable to locate the suspect vehicle. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Trooper Derek Mauriello at 860-399-2100.

Tuesday, Sept. 10

• A 72 year-old Old Lyme woman was issued a citation at 11:29 a.m. for failure to obey a stop sign. She was operating a 2019 Honda Odyssey Elite westbound on Route 148 approaching Route 148 when she turned south onto Route 79 and collided with a 2009 Freightliner M2 106 Medium Duty truck operated by a 38 year-old Manchester man. No one was injured in the crash.

Wednesday, Sept. 11 to Thursday, Sept. 12

No arrests were made.

Friday, Sept. 13

• A 46 year-old man of Roast Meat Hill Road was arrested at 8:03 p.m. and charged with risk of injury to a minor and disorderly conduct under the Domestic Violence Act. The alleged victims, a mother and child, hid in a closet until troopers arrived. The woman claimed she was pushed and struck by the accused during an argument that escalated into violence. He was processed on a $2,500 non-surety bond.

Saturday, Sept. 14 to Monday, Sept. 16
