The East Haven Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Wednesday, Aug. 7

• A 52 year-old West Haven man was arrested at 6:29 p.m. and charged with criminal trespass in the first degree and breach of peace in the second degree.

• A 25 year-old man of Hemingway Avenue was arrested at 7 p.m. and charged with criminal trespass in the first degree.

Thursday, Aug. 8

• A 49 year-old man of Foxon Boulevard was arrested at 8 p.m. and charged with assault in the third degree and two counts of disorderly conduct. He was processed on a $10,000 surety bond.

• A 55 year-old woman of Cosey Beach Avenue was arrested at 10:05 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple-lane highway, and making an improper turn following a motor vehicle stop on Main Street at Hemingway Avenue.

Friday, Aug. 9

• A 22 year-old man of Birch Lane was arrested at 3:18 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

• A 35 year-old Branford man was arrested at 6:41 p.m. and charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license following a motor vehicle stop on Estelle Road at Saltonstall Parkway.

Saturday, Aug. 10

• A 42 year-old woman of Laurel Street was arrested at 1:44 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

• A 33 year-old West Haven woman was arrested at 4 p.m. and charged with possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis and use or possession of drug paraphernalia containing less than one-half ounce of cannabis.

• A 62 year-old man of Key Largo, Florida was arrested at 4 p.m. and charged with possession of less than one-half ounce of cannabis, use or possession of drug paraphernalia containing less than one-half ounce of cannabis, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, failure to carry an insurance card, and improper parking.

• A 40 year-old Madison man was arrested at 11:20 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs (this was the second time this person was arrested for this offense), evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident in which there was property damage or bodily injury), and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple-lane highway.

Sunday, Aug. 11

• A 29 year-old woman of Hemingway Avenue was arrested at 1:10 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

• A 22 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 7:19 p.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the third degree, breach of peace in the second degree, and violation of a protective order. He was processed on a $25,000 surety bond.

Monday, Aug. 12

No arrests were made.

Tuesday, Aug. 13

• A 46 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 6:44 a.m. and charged with violation of probation, failure to appear in the first degree, and assault on a public safety officer. He was processed on a combined $110,000 surety bond.

Wednesday, July 14

• A 54 year-old man of Coe Avenue was arrested at 8 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree.

• A 47 year-old homeless man of New Haven was arrested at 9:45 p.m. and charged with violation of probation.

• A 37 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 11:30 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, improper use of marker plate, failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple-lane highway, and operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license.

• A 40 year-old West Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 8:39 a.m. for evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident in which there was property damage or bodily injury) and operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension.

Thursday, Aug. 15

• A 33 year-old man of Cedar Court was arrested at 4:30 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

• A 19 year-old Branford man was arrested at 7:42 a.m. and charged with reckless endangerment in the second degree, improper use of marker plate, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, reckless driving, engaging police in pursuit, evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident), failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple-lane highway, failure to obey a stop sign, operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license, having improper rear marker plate or lamps, and interfering with an officer/resisting arrest.

• A 54 year-old man of North High Street was arrested at 3:40 p.m. on a warrant charging him with three counts of failure to appear in the second degree.

• A 50 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 11 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and assault in the third degree.

Friday, Aug. 16

• A 52 year-old New Haven was arrested at 10:51 a.m. and charged with larceny in the fifth degree and failure to appear in the second degree on an outstanding warrant.

• A 41 year-old woman of Tuttle Place was arrested at 7:14 p.m. and charged with forgery in the first degree and criminal attempt to commit larceny in the sixth degree.

Saturday, Aug. 17

• A 26 year-old man of Prospect Place Extension was arrested at 7:48 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and assault in the second degree.

• A 36 year-old man of Hunt Lane was arrested at 11:36 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

Sunday, Aug. 18

• A 23 year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 10:34 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

Monday, Aug. 19

No arrests were made.

Tuesday, Aug. 20

• A 53 year-old man of Cosey Beach Avenue was arrested at 8:25 a.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree, threatening in the second degree, evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident), and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple-lane highway.

• A 47 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 9 a.m. and charged with robbery in the third degree.

• A 31 year-old man of Silver Sands Road was arrested at 11:16 a.m. and charged with sexual assault in the first degree, sexual assault in the fourth degree, and two counts of risk of injury to a minor. He was processed on a $75,000 surety bond.

• A 31 year-old Waterbury woman was arrested at 3:18 p.m. on a warrant charging her with failure to appear in the second degree.

• A 46 year-old Branford man was arrested at 7:16 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree and use or possession of drug paraphernalia containing less than one-half ounce of cannabis.

• A 52 year-old woman and a 52 year-old man, both of New Haven, were arrested at 10:23 p.m. Each party was charged with conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree, possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis, and use or possession of drug paraphernalia containing less than one-half ounce of cannabis.

Wednesday, Aug. 21

• A 34 year-old man of Thompson Street was arrested at 9:46 a.m. and charged with violation of probation. He was processed on a $5,000 surety bond.

• A 27 year-old man of Edward Street was arrested at 10 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drug and making an unsafe movement from a stopped or standing position.

Thursday, Aug. 22

• A 19 year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 1:02 a.m. and charged with threatening in the second degree.

• A 30 year-old man of Taylor Avenue was arrested at 7 p.m. and charged with possession of a narcotic or greater than one-half ounce of cannabis. In the same incident a 21 year-old Guilford man was charged with the same. Each man was processed on a $2,500 bond.

Friday, Aug. 23

• A 44 year-old man of Russo Avenue was arrested at 3:30 a.m. and charged with assault in the second degree. He was processed on a $100,000 surety bond.

• A 35 year-old woman of Coe Avenue was arrested at 11:52 a.m. and charged with violation of probation. She was processed on a $10,000 surety bond.

• A 42 year-old woman of Green Garden Court was arrested at 9:37 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree.

Saturday, Aug. 24

• A 48 year-old man of Warner Road was arrested at 3:54 a.m. and charged with violation of a protective order. He was processed on a $10,000 surety bond.

• A 40 year-old West Haven woman was arrested at 3:30 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and assault in the third degree.

• A 53 year-old man of Cosey Beach Avenue was arrested at 4:30 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree.

Sunday, Aug. 25

• A 25 year-old woman of Cecelia Drive was arrested at 4:15 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

Monday, Aug. 26

• A 48 year-old West Haven man was arrested at 1:55 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and strangulation in the third degree. The arrested took place at 330 Short Beach Road.

• A 55 year-old woman of Silver Sands Road was arrested at 8:12 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and assault in the third degree.

• A 35 year-old North Haven woman was arrested at 8:13 p.m. and charged with possession of a narcotic or greater than one-half ounce of cannabis.

Tuesday, Aug. 27

• A 35 year-old man of a Coe Avenue apartment was arrested at 10:10 p.m. and charged with use or possession of drug paraphernalia containing less than one-half ounce of cannabis.

Wednesday, Aug. 28

• A 52 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 1:24 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree, interfering with an officer/resisting arrest, and possession of less than one-half ounce of cannabis.

Thursday, Aug. 29

• A 46 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 4 p.m. and charged with voyeurism with malice. He was processed on a $25,000 surety bond.

Friday, Aug. 30

• A 36 year-old woman of North High Street was arrested at 9:35 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and violation of a protective order.

• A 36 year-old New Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 11 p.m. for evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident in which there was property damage or bodily injury).

Saturday, Aug. 31

• An 18 year-old Branford man was arrested at 1:06 p.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the second degree and breach of peace in the second degree. He was processed on a $10,000 surety bond.

Sunday, Sept. 1

• A 40 year-old woman of Waldo Street was arrested at 5:38 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and assault in the third degree.

• A 53 year-old man of Cosey Beach Avenue was arrested at 7:41 p.m. and charged with criminal trespass in the first degree and violation of a protective order. He was processed on a $5,000 surety bond.

• A 42 year-old woman of Osmond Street was arrested at 10:09 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident in which there was property damage or bodily injury).

• A 33 year-old man of Coventington, Georgia was arrested at 11:37 p.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the third degree and breach of peace in the second degree.

Monday, Sept. 2

No arrests were made.

Tuesday, Sept. 3

• A 29 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 3:10 p.m. and charged with risk of injury to a minor, criminal mischief in the third degree, strangulation on the third degree, unlawful restraint in the second degree, and two counts of breach of peace in the second degree. He was processed on a $25,000 surety bond.

• A 40 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 3:49 p.m. and charged with two counts of possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis, use or possession of drug paraphernalia containing less than one-half ounce of cannabis, and traveling unreasonably fast.
