Police Incident Report for Aug. 20 to 27


The Sound publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in Branford and North Branford. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Branford

Tuesday, Aug. 20

• A 48 year-old man of Milo Drive was arrested at 6:45 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

Wednesday, Aug. 21

No arrests were made.

• A 29 year-old Norwalk woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 2:24 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and failure to obey a stop sign.

• A 36 year-old man of Driscoll Road was issued a misdemeanor summons at 6:43 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and failure to obey a stop sign.

• A 28 year-old man of Harbor Street was issued a misdemeanor summons at 10:13 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

Thursday, Aug. 22

• A 54 year-old man of Twin Lakes Road in North Branford was arrested at 9:30 a.m. and charged with conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree.

• A 38 year-old man of last known address on Hilltop Drive was arrested at 7:30 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct, assault in the third degree, two counts of criminal trespass in the first degree, and two counts of violation of a protective order. While in custody he was also charged with failure to appear in the first degree and failure to appear in the second degree on outstanding warrants.

Friday, Aug. 23

• A 55 year-old man of Louis Drive was arrested at 6:55 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree, reckless endangerment in the second degree, failure to store a loaded firearm in the presence of a minor, and illegally carrying a firearm while under the influence.

Saturday, Aug. 24

• A 38 year-old North Branford woman was arrested at 1:35 a.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, disobeying the signal of an officer, and failure to obey a traffic control signal.

• A 21 year-old Wallingford man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 12:38 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

Sunday, Aug. 25

• A 31 year-old man of East Main Street was arrested at 4:09 p.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the first degree.

• A 25 year-old woman and a 30 year-old man, both of New Haven, were arrested at 6:30 p.m. Each party was charged with larceny in the sixth degree and four counts of risk of injury to a minor.

• A 25 year-old North Branford man was arrested at 2 a.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, carrying a firearm while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis, and use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

• A 28 year-old East Haven woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 1:12 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension.

• A 52 year-old East Haven woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 8:44 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, and failure to signal a turn.

Monday, Aug. 26

• A 22 year-old Cromwell man was arrested at 1:25 a.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and threatening in the second degree.

Tuesday, Aug. 27

No arrests were made.

• A 20 year-old New Haven woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 1:34 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, improper use of marker plates, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and having the improper number of headlights.

North Branford

Tuesday, Aug. 20

No arrests were made.

Wednesday, Aug. 21

No arrests were made.

• A 34 year-old East Haddam man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 9:30 a.m. for offering home repair without a license.

Thursday, Aug. 22 to Tuesday, Aug. 27

No arrests were made.
