• Management at Yale Ophthalmology requested the presence of a police officer while an employee was terminated at 7:46 a.m.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 233 Church Street at 2:45 p.m. The lower window of the café entry door near the basketball court was shattered. Police were to confirm if the damage occurred during day camp or during the off hours. A custodian taped up the glass until it could be replaced.
• A larceny was investigated at 111 Goose Lane at 6:06 p.m. Drills and wrenches were taken from the worksite during the last two weeks.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 21 Whitfield Street at 7:40 p.m. Graffiti was found on the side of the building.
Saturday, July 27
No arrests were made.
• A larceny was investigated at 500 Boston Post Road at 6:45 a.m. A collection jar was taken. The jar was recovered by an employee.
• A decapitated rabbit found in a pool was reported at 825 Long Hill Road at 1:56 p.m.
• Threatening was investigated on Greystone Way at 4:10 p.m.
• Criminal trespass was investigated at 4000 Durham Road at 8:07 p.m.
Sunday, July 28
No arrests were made.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 140 Seaside Avenue at 1:33 a.m. A chain at entrance to the property was broken.
• Neighbor trouble was investigated on Reeves Avenue at 9:47 a.m. The complaint had a recording of the threats made against him.
• Neighbor trouble was investigated on Edwards Street at 7:39 p.m.

No arrests were made.
Wednesday, July 31
• A 79 year-old Wethersfield man was arrested at 11:30 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.
• A 56 year-old man of Shore Drive was arrested at 5 p.m. and charged with threatening in the second degree.
• A larceny was investigated at 566 White Birch Drive at 8:11 a.m. A newly planted cherry tree was dug up and stolen.
• A larceny was investigated at 111 Lovers Lane at 5:03 p.m. A backpack was taken while the owner was jogging.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 44 Taliar Ridge Road at 5:17 p.m. Mailboxes were damaged.
Thursday, Aug. 1
No arrests were made.
• A burglary was investigated at 3:59 a.m. The location and details of the incident were redacted by police. Four officers responded to the call.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 338 old Whitfield Street at 8:23 a.m. Graffiti was painted on the northside of the building facing the railroad tracks.
• A motor vehicle crash on private property was investigated at 1675 Boston Post Road at 8:49 p.m. A driver was wanted for evading (fleeing) the scene of an accident in which there as property damage or bodily injury.
• Harassment was investigated on the 100 block of Whitfield Street at 9:57 a.m. A woman was being harassed by and had concerns about a former boyfriend.
• A larceny was investigated at 1:32 p.m. The location and details of the incident were redacted by police. One police officer responded to the call.
• A complaint about fraud via the Internet was investigated at 401 Soundview Road at 2:50 p.m.
• Criminal trespass was investigated on Mulberry Farms Road at Mulberry Point Road. A tent was placed on Guilford Land Conservation Trust property.
• Harassment was investigated on Stonehedge South Lane at 8:36 p.m.

No arrests were made.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 274 Church Street at 8:28 a.m. The complainant was scammed out of money.
• A complaint about a sick raccoon was investigated at 50 Trailwood Drive at 9 a.m.
• A larceny was investigated at 11:46 a.m. The location and all details of the incident were redacted by police.
• A larceny was investigated at 850 Boston Post Road at 3:27 p.m.

Sunday, Aug. 4
• A 21 year-old man of Durham Road was arrested at 2:24 a.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and operating an unregistered motor vehicle following a motor vehicle stop on the 2800 block of Durham Road.
• Criminal trespass was investigated at 7 Laurel Hollow Road at 7:18 p.m. Workmen came onto the property two times earlier in the day.
Monday, Aug. 5

• A larceny was investigated at 2:59 a.m. The location and all details of the incident were redacted by police.
• Harassment was investigated on the 700 block of Boston Post Road at 1:14 p.m. A man reported ongoing harassment by a female.
Tuesday, Aug. 6
• A 30 year-old woman of Fitch Hill Road was arrested at 7:45 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree, interfering with an emergency 911 call, and assault in the third degree.
• A vehicle repossession was conducted at 1896 Moose Hill Road by Skyline Recovery Service at 9:49 a.m.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 800 Long Hill Road at 3:10 p.m. A caller reported ongoing problems at Long Hill Park. A neighbor keeps moving portable toilets from one location in the park to another.
Wednesday, Aug. 7
• A 32 year-old North Haven man was arrested at 10:25 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.
• A 32 year-old man of Andy Lane was arrested at 8:33 p.m. and charged with possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis and use or possession of drug paraphernalia containing less than one-half ounce of cannabis.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 58 East River Road at 3:42 a.m. The retaining walls under the Interstate 95 overpass were spray painted. This was reported as a recurring issue.
• A breach of peace incident was investigated on the 600 block of Route 80. The complainant reported that her stepfather was yelling and threw items at her while he was trying to take the license plates off her vehicle.
• Suspicious activity was investigated at 161 Boston Post Road at 5:37 p.m. A complainant reported that a man wearing a burgundy shirt and khaki pants was at the end of her driveway carrying a machete. Police learned that the man was a surveyor digging a hole to locate a control access point. The complainant was advised of this finding.

• A dumping violation was investigated at 209 Durham Road at 10:53 a.m. Garbage was left on the complainant’s property.
Friday, Aug. 9
• A 49 year-old man of Woodworth Road was arrested at 12:56 a.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 12:53 p.m. The location and all details of the incident were redacted by police.
• A larceny via employee theft was investigated at 1153 Boston Post Road at 1:54 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 10
• A 45 year-old Westbrook man was arrested at 1:39 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree.
• A domestic dispute was investigated at 5:49 p.m. The location and all details of the incident were redacted by police.

Monday, Aug. 12
• A 27 year-old Clinton man was arrested at 4:44 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree.
• A vehicle repossession was conducted at 151 Durham Road at 2:57 a.m.
• A breach of peace incident was investigated at 490 Boston Post Road at 11:26 a.m.
• A larceny was investigated at 12:16 p.m. The location and all details of the incident were redacted by police.
• A motor vehicle crash in which a driver evaded (fled) the scene was investigated at 140 Seaside Avenue at 3:17 p.m. Multiple witnesses observed a grey/blue Ford F150 pick-up truck strike a parked, unoccupied tan Honda, causing damage. The operator, possibly a white male in his 30, drove away without leaving his personal contact information or calling police to report the incident. The driver was wanted for evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident in which there was property damage or bodily injury.
Tuesday, Aug. 13
• A 29 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 10:30 a.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the second degree.
• A complaint about fraud via a computer scam was investigated at 995 Boston Post Road at 7:49 a.m.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 2660 Long Hill Road at 10:06 a.m. A temporary plate was used illegally in a different state. Miami-Dade, Florida issued a parking tag on Florida temp registration plate CLK2628. The complainant was in Guilford on that date with that plate.
• A complaint about fraud with a credit card was investigated at 25 Spencer Avenue at 10:52 a.m.
• A complaint fraud via a scam call from Eversource was investigated at 20 Church Street at 2:28 p.m.
