Wednesday, July 24

• A 29 year-old Branford woman was arrested at 7 p.m. and charged with breach of peace under the Domestic Violence Act. The location of the incident was on the 100 block of St. Francis Woods in Madison.

• A structure fire was reported at 155 New Road at 3:23 a.m.

• Criminal mischief on private property was investigated at 354 Bartlett Drive at 7 a.m.

• Criminal mischief on private property was investigated at 125 River Edge Farms Road at 8:55 a.m.

• A motor vehicle crash on private property was investigated at 633 Boston Post Road at 9:43 a.m.

• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 99 Durham Road at 1:18 p.m.

• Thefts of items from motor vehicles were investigated at 91 Middle Beach Road and 12 Park Avenue at 2:26 p.m.

• A 41 year-old woman of Old Toll Road (the same woman arrested on Aug. 7) was arrested at 8:18 p.m. on a warrant charging her with failure to appear in the first degree.

• A motor vehicle crash without injuries was investigated on Boston Post Road at Liberty Street at 10:57 a.m.

• An animal nuisance was investigated on the 100 block of Beechwoods Drive at 1:52 p.m.

Killingworth

Wednesday, July 17

No arrests were made.

• A larceny was investigated at 540 Route 148 at 5:48 p.m. The complaint stated that $7,500 worth of jewelry and cash were taken from the residence on or about June 16th.

Thursday, July 18

• A 54 year-old man of Chestnut Hill Road was arrested at 7:09 a.m. on a warrant charging him with disorderly conduct and threatening in the second degree for acts of family violence. Police first responded on the report of an intoxicated man who left the residence. He was located in Meriden, placed under arrest, and held on a $20,000 surety bond he could not post.

• A 26 year-old man of Dalton, Pennsylvania was issued a citation at 7:53 p.m. for traveling too fast for conditions. He was operating a 2008 Saturn ION Level 2 eastbound on Route 80 in heavy rain conditions when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a utility pole located on the south shoulder of the roadway about 300 feet west of Owl Hollow Lane. The operator, who was the sole occupant of the Saturn, was not injured in the crash. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

Friday, July 26

No arrests were made.

• A 22 year-old Deep River man was issued a citation at 4:35 p.m. for failure to maintain a reasonable distance apart. He was operating a 2002 BMW 525I southbound on Route 81 a tenth of a mile south of Route 154 when he struck the rear of a 2017 Ford Escape Titanium operated by a 76 year-old East Haddam man who had slowed to lake a left turn into the parking lot of Village Plaza. No one was injured in the crash.

• A 22 year-old man of Washington, D.C. was issued a verbal warning at 8:44 p.m. for failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple-lane highway. He was operating a 2013 Triumph Thruxton 900 motorcycle westbound on Route 148 near Abner Lane when he failed to maintain the travel lane and struck a curb. A 22 year-old woman of New York City was a passenger onboard the motorcycle. Both the operator and his passenger were transported to Yale New Haven Hospital for treatment of minor injuries sustained in the crash. Both were ejected from the motorcycle.

• A theft was investigated on Route 81 near L’Hommedieu Road. Sometime between Thursday, Aug. 1 and Saturday, Aug. 3 someone removed hand and shop tools from a rear garage. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Trooper Thomas Curtis at 860-399-2100. All calls will be kept confidential.

• A report of a missing person was investigated at 6 Fritz Road at 7:51 p.m. Sean Frederick, 24, was last seen at 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 2 at Bradley International Airport. He did not return to the baggage claim area with his parents. He was described as standing 6’0”, 200 pounds, blond hair, and blue eyes, wearing tan shorts, black T-shirt, and carrying a green L.L. Bean backpack. Anyone with information regarding the whereabout of Frederick is asked to call Trooper Trainee Derek Mauriello at 860-399-2100.

Thursday, Aug. 8

• A 22 year-old man of Tower Hill Road was arrested at 7:49 p.m. and charged with reckless endangerment in the second degree, reckless driving, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license, and operating a motorcycle without an endorsement. He was processed on a $2,500 bond.

Friday, Aug. 9

• A 52 year-old woman of Burr Hill Road was arrested at 11:01 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and assault in the third degree. A 60 year-old person was struck in the face and sustained minor injuries.

Saturday, Aug. 10 to Tuesday, Aug. 13
