• A 17 year-old boy of Route 148 was issued a warning at 12:31 p.m. for failure to grant right of way at a private driveway. He was operating a 2015 Ford Explorer when he pulled into the right-of-way path of a motorcycle operated by a 28 year-old Wallingford man. The motorcyclist was issued a warning for failure to have a motorcycle endorsement. The motorcycle operator sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash and was transported to Middlesex Hospital.

• A 21 year-old Clinton man was issued a citation at 6:24 p.m. for failure to drive right. He was operating a 2007 Ford Edge southbound on Route 81 near Roast Meat Hill Road when he struck a ledge located on the right shoulder of the roadway. No one was injured in the crash.

Sunday, June 16 to Tuesday, June 25

Wednesday, June 26

No arrests were made.

• A motor vehicle crash in which a driver evaded (fled) the scene was investigated in the parking lot behind DaVinci’s Pizza on Route 81 at 9:19 p.m. An unknown driver struck another vehicle in the parking lot behind DaVinci’s Pizza and left the scene without reporting the crash to the vehicle’s owner or police.

• A 22 year-old woman of Race Hill Road in Madison was issued a citation at 11:39 a.m. for failure to maintain a reasonable distance apart. She was operating a 2001 Toyota Echo southbound on Route 81 prior to Sherwood Forest Lane when she rolled into the rear of a 2014 Mazda Cx-5 Touring operated by a 45 year-old Manchester woman. No one was injured in the crash.

• A 44 year-old man of Cow Hill Road was arrested at 7:06 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

• A 61 year-old Northford woman was issued a citation at 1:27 p.m. for failure to maintain a reasonable distance apart. She was operating a 2012 Honda CR-V EX northbound on Route 81 when she struck the rear of a 2017 Subaru Forester 2.5i Premium operated by a 67 year-old East Hampton man. The force of the crash caused the Forester to strike the rear of a 2007 Dodge Durango operated by a 43 year-old man of Longmeadow, Massachusetts. The operator of the Durango and his 15 year-old female passenger were transported by ambulance to an area clinic for evaluation of minor injuries sustained in the crash. No other injuries were reported or observed.

• A burglary was investigated at 228 Chestnut Hill Road at 10:20 a.m. Copper piping was stolen from the basement of the residence. Entry was gained through an unlocked basement door. The theft occurred between June 28 and July 5.

• A 54 year-old woman of Ivy Island Drive in Madison was issued a citation at 5:45 p.m. for failure to maintain the reasonable distance apart. She was operating a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited southbound on Route 79 when she struck the rear of a 2016 Mazda Touring operated by a 25 year-old Durham man.
