Thursday, June 20
• A 47 year-old man of North Mill Circle was arrested at 11 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct, assault in the third degree, and strangulation in the third degree.
• A domestic dispute was investigated at 2:50 p.m. The location and all details of the incident were redacted by police.

• Threatening was investigated the Guilford Police Station, 400 Church Street, at 8:42 a.m. A comment was left on the police department Facebook page.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 214 Three Corners Road at 9:43 a.m. A mailbox was blown up, the mail was charred, and mail was found on the ground.
• A complaint about an unwanted person was investigated at 533 Boston Post Road. An employee who was terminated was on the sidewalk in front of the business.

• Criminal mischief was investigated at 222 Schoolside Lane at 8:23 a.m. A Guilford Police Department radar sign was removed from a telephone pole and thrown into the adjacent woods.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 9 Boston Post Road at 2:06 p.m. Graffiti was painted on commercial property.
Tuesday, June 25

• A counterfeiting incident was investigated at 849 Boston Post Road at 9:07 a.m. The complainant received a counterfeit $100 from a bank.
• A complaint about fraud via a phone call was investigated at 1480 Hoop Pole Road at 2:22 p.m.
• A burglary was investigated at 9:35 p.m. The location and all details of the theft were redacted by police.
Wednesday, June 26
• A 20 year-old man of Brooklyn, New York was arrested at 7:52 a.m. and charged with forgery in the second degree, criminal impersonation, identity theft in the third degree, obtaining a controlled pharmaceutical drug via fraud, illegally obtaining a prescription drug, and use or possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis.
• A civil investigation regarding a complaint about a Whitfield Street business was conducted at 9:42 a.m.
Thursday, June 27
• A 30 year-old man of Whitfield Street was arrested at 1:16 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.
• A risk of injury incident was investigated at 1675 Boston Post Road at 8:38 a.m. An anonymous caller reported that a man left a baby in a car seat and went into the store. The vehicle was gone by the time police arrived.
• A larceny was investigated at 9 Boston Street at 12:35 p.m.
• A complaint about computer fraud via a hacked account was investigated at 33 Edgehill Road at 2:51 p.m.
• A complaint about identity fraud was investigated at 3 Adirondack Lane at 4:49 p.m.
• A complaint about fraud with a credit card was investigated at 349 Weatherly Trail at 8:45 p.m. The complainant reported fraudulent charges on her credit card.
Friday, June 28
No arrests were made.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 140 Seaside Avenue at 9:23 a.m. Graffiti was painted on the bathrooms at Jacobs Beach.
• Harassment via telephone was investigated at 142 Nut Plains Road at 10:40 a.m.
Saturday, June 29
• A 21 year-old Clinton woman was arrested at 1:15 a.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, possession of less than one-half ounce of cannabis, use or possession of drug paraphernalia containing less than one-half ounce of cannabis, and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple-lane highway following a motor vehicle crash in front of 1046 Long Hill Road.
Sunday, June 30
• A 23 year-old man of Antoinette Lane was arrested at 9:55 p.m. and charged with operating and motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple-lane highway following a motor vehicle stop on Durham Road near Greystone Way.
Monday, July 1
No arrests were made.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 62 Greystone Way at 9:02 a.m. A fence was damaged within the prior week.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 1350 Durham Road at 2:50 p.m. Graffiti was painted in the men’s bathroom at Lake Quonnipaug.
• Neighbor trouble was investigated on Edwards Street at 4:49 p.m. The complainant reported that a neighbor was staring at her in a threatening manner.
Tuesday, July 2
• A 35 year-old man of Woods End Road was arrested at 5:08 p.m. and charged with risk of injury to a minor, disorderly conduct, assault in the third degree, and reckless endangerment in the second degree.
Wednesday, July 3
• A 29 year-old man of Trolley Road was arrested at 11 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple-lane highway following a motor vehicle stop on Sachems Head Road near Water Street.
• A 67 year-old Madison woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 9:25 a.m. for evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident in which there was property damage or bodily injury) and failure to maintain a reasonable distance apart.
• A larceny was investigated at 11 Water Street at 11:05 a.m.
• A complaint about a flock of domesticated ducks roaming in and around 78 Hart Road was investigated at 6:26 p.m. Police spoke with the owner of the ducks, who advised that the ducks are semi-wild and often roam. The ducks were not causing a traffic hazard. No further action was taken.
• The theft of a motor vehicle was investigated at 11:47 p.m. The location and all details of the incident were redacted by police.
Thursday, July 4
No arrests were made.
• Criminal trespass was investigated on Inlet Drive at 4:01 p.m. Police received a report that non-members were using the beach at the cul-de-sac. The complainant wanted them to leave if not accompanied by a member. Police spoke with the visitors, who advised that they live on Alden Drive and are allowed to use the beach.
• A breach of peace incident was investigated on the 4000 block of Durham Road at 4:19 p.m. Parties were fighting on the beach.

• A larceny was investigated at 49 Church Street at 4:38 p.m.

• Criminal mischief was investigated at 7 Thistle Rock Drive at 8:09 p.m. A front window was broken by a golf ball.

• A 45 year-old Clinton man was arrested at 7:30 a.m. and charged with risk of injury to a minor, burglary in the first degree, breach of peace in the second degree, assault in the third degree, and strangulation in the second degree.
Tuesday, July 9

• A complaint about a bear was investigated at 1675 Boston Post Road at 9:02 a.m. The bear was reported as possibly stuck. The animal was encouraged back into the woods and away from traffic and buildings. The bear returned to the woods without incident.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 34 Saginaw Trail at 8:06 p.m.

• A complaint about forgery was investigated on Greenbrier Lane at 7:23 a.m.
• A report of a silver Toyota being operating erratically on Route 80 eastbound was investigated at 4:56 p.m. Police could not locate the suspect vehicle.
Thursday, July 11
• A 42 year-old man of Huntington, New York was arrested at 12 noon and charged with violation of a protective order, possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis, use or possession of drug paraphernalia containing less than one-half ounce of cannabis, and possession of drugs within 1,500 feet of a school.
• A 24 year-old man of Andy Lane was arrested at noon and charged with violation of a protective order, sale of narcotics, possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis, use or possession of drug paraphernalia containing less than one-half ounce of cannabis, and possession of drugs within 1,500 feet of a school.
• A caller reported that a cow was in the roadway on Durham Road at Lake Drive at 8:54 p.m. The owner responded and returned the cow to its field.
Friday, July 12

• A complaint about fraud with a checking account was investigated at 235 South Union Street at 11:44 a.m.
• A complaint about a bat inside the house at 47 Stone Hose Lane was reported at 1:36 p.m. The caller stated that the children in the home were in a different room from a bat. The mammal was removed by a wildlife expert.

• A motor vehicle crash on private property was investigated at Guilford Mooring, 505 Whitfield Street, at 2:24 p.m. A vehicle was driven into the salt marsh behind the restaurant. Guilford Texaco extracted the vehicle.

• Sudden death was investigated on the 2200 block of Long Hill Road at 3:50 p.m.

• A motor vehicle crash in which a driver fled the scene was investigated in front of 1116 Boston Post road at 4 p.m. The offending vehicle was a white SUV with Florida license plates bearing 446PPJ.
• A breach of peace incident was investigated at 840 Boston Post Road at 6:08 p.m.

• A larceny was investigated at 157 Goose Lane at 8:48 a.m. Mail boxes were opened and mail was thrown on the ground.
• A larceny was investigated at Walmart, 900 Boston Post Road, at 12:15 p.m. A video showed a customer taking blue plastic bags.
• A breach of peace incident was investigated 2300 Boston Post Road at 1:47 p.m.
Friday, July 19
• A 45 year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 11:28 p.m. and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia within 1,500 feet of a school or public housing, evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident in which there was property damage or bodily injury), operating a motor vehicle without insurance, failure to renew registration, improper use of marker plate, and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple-lane highway. Occupation: school bus driver.
• A report of suspicious motor vehicles was investigated outside 500 Boston Post Road at 2:36 a.m. Police learned that newspaper delivery men were waiting in their vehicles for paper delivery from the publisher/printer.
• A complaint about harassment via text messages was investigated on Carter Drive at 6:18 p.m.
• A larceny was investigated at 9 Boston Post Road at 7:39 p.m.

• Criminal mischief was investigated at 188 Wilderwood Drive at 8:03 a.m. Details of the incident were redacted by police.
• A larceny was investigated on Trolley Road at 10:35 a.m. A wallet was taken out of a fisherman’s vehicle while it was parked at the parking lot at the public beach area.

• A 33 year-old woman of Yonkers, New York was arrested at 12:41 a.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple-lane highway following a motor vehicle stop in front of 1300 Boston Post Road.
• A 38 year-old man of Crestwood Drive was arrested at 11:37 a.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and reckless endangerment in the second degree under the Domestic Violence Act.
• A 57 year-old woman of Edwards Street was arrested at 6 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct via annoying or interfering with another person.
• A breach of peace incident was investigated on the 4000 block of Durham Road at 1:39 p.m.
• A counterfeiting incident was investigated at 1116 Boston Post Road at 9:38 p.m. Someone passed a fake $20 bill.

• A 30 year-old Westbrook woman was arrested at 1 p.m. and charged with burglary in the third degree and larceny in the sixth degree.
• A complaint about harassing cell phone calls was investigated at 880 Hoop Pole Road at 11:03 a.m.
Wednesday, July 24
• A 25 year-old Branford woman was arrested at 7:15 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree and conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree.
• A larceny was investigated at 1575 Boson Post Road at 8:23 a.m. Mailboxes were found open.
• A landlord/tenant dispute was investigated on Joseph Drive at 3:09 p.m.
