Police Incident Report for May 6 to 21


The East Haven Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Monday, May 6

• A 22 year-old Norwich woman was arrested at 1:49 p.m. and charged with violation of a protective order. She was processed on a $5,000 surety bond.

• A 26 year-old woman of Sundance Drive was arrested at 3:10 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

Tuesday, May 7

• A 50 year-old man of Osmond Street was arrested at 9:30 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and threatening in the second degree. He was processed on a $15,000 surety bond.

Wednesday, May 8 to Thursday, May 9

No arrests were made.

Friday, May 10

• A 23 year-old Bridgeport man was arrested at 1:30 a.m. and charged with two counts of possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis, use or possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to appear in the second degree on an outstanding warrant. He was processed on a combined $2,250 surety bond.

• A 58 year-old man of a Silver Sands Road apartment was arrested at 5:05 p.m. and charged with criminal trespass in the first degree and violation of a protective order. He was processed on a $15,000 surety bond.

• A 31 year-old Danielson man was arrested at 5:22 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and threatening in the second degree. He was processed on a $2,500 surety bond.

• A 29 year-old man of Hemingway Avenue was arrested at 8:10 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree.

Saturday, May 11

• A 61 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 7:17 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain a reasonable distance apart. He was processed on a $2,500 surety bond.

• A 37 year-old Branford man was arrested at 11:20 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, disobeying the signal of an officer, and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lay highway.

Sunday, May 12 to Monday, May 13

No arrests were made.

Tuesday, May 14

• A 23 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 8:30 a.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the third degree, disorderly conduct, and assault in the third degree. He was processed on a $10,000 surety bond.

Wednesday, May 15

• A 34 year-old Niantic woman was arrested at 6 a.m. and charged with interfering with an officer/resisting arrest. She was processed on a $5,000 surety bond.

Thursday, May 16

No arrests were made.

Friday, May 17

• A 37 year-old Branford man was arrested at 11:56 p.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the second degree. He was processed on a $2,500 surety bond.

• A 37 year-old man of Jefferson Road was issued a misdemeanor summons at 11:56 p.m. for evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident in which there was property damage or bodily injury) and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway. He was processed on a $5,000 surety bond.

Saturday, May 18

• A 49 year-old woman of Pine Place was arrested at 5:49 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree. He was processed on a $1,000 surety bond.

• A 51 year-old man of South Date Road was arrested at 10:09 a.m. and charged with violation of probation. He was processed on a $25,000 surety bond.

• A 51 year-old man of South Dale Road was issued a misdemeanor summons at 10:09 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license and registration suspension, improper use of marker plates, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle. He was processed on a $1,000 bond.

Sunday, May 19

• A 32 year-old man on unrecorded address was arrested at 9:40 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and violation of a protective order. He was processed on a $5,000 surety bond.

Monday, May 20 to Tuesday, May 21

No arrests were made.
