Police Incident Report for Feb. 13 to 26


The North Haven Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Wednesday, Feb. 13

• A 27 year-old Hamden man was arrested at 12:03 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree, criminal violation of a protective order, threatening in the second degree, and unlawful restraint in the second degree.

• A 34 year-old woman of Larson Drive was arrested at 4:39 p.m. and charged with criminal attempt to commit larceny in the fourth degree and issuing a back check for over $1,000.

• A 34 year-old East Haven man was arrested at 10:45 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree and breach of peace in the second degree.

Thursday, Feb. 14

• A 37 year-old Guilford man was arrested at 3:40 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

• A 31 year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 8:45 a.m. on a warrant charging her with failure to appear in the second degree.

•A 49 year-old Meriden man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 7:43 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension.

• A 45 year-old Wallingford woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 8:12 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

Friday, Feb. 15

• A 28 year-old Waterbury man was arrested at 3:10 p.m. and charged with larceny in the fourth degree.

• A 42 year-old West Haven man was arrested at 3:10 p.m. and charged with larceny in the fourth degree.

Saturday, Feb. 16

• A 37 year-old man of Rimmon Road was arrested at 8 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

• A 35 year-old Northford man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 10:40 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension.

Sunday, Feb. 17

No arrests were made.

Monday, Feb. 18

• A 40 year-old Bristol woman was arrested at 4:11 p.m. on a warrant charging her with failure to appear in the second degree.

Tuesday, Feb. 19

• A 27 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 7:30 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and assault in the third degree.

Wednesday, Feb. 20

No arrests were made.

• A 30 year-old New Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 8:26 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance and traveling too fast for conditions.

Thursday, Feb. 21

• A 34 year-old New Haven man of arrested at 12:54 p.m. and charged with larceny in the third degree and larceny in the sixth degree.

• A 34 year-old West Haven man was arrested at 7:40 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, drinking while driving, and violation of readable plates.

• A 60 year-old Wallingford man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 4:30 p.m. for evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident) and unsafe backing.

Friday, Feb. 22

No arrests were made.

• A 47 year-old New Haven man of issued a misdemeanor summons at 67:40 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension.

Saturday, Feb. 23

No arrests were made.

• A 20 year-old Naugatuck man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 7:40 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance.

Sunday, Feb. 24

No arrests were made.

Monday, Feb. 25

No arrests were made.

• A 35 year-old East Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 9:01 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

Tuesday, Feb. 26

No arrests were made.

From Feb. 13 to 26, North Haven police issued 23 citations to motorists for operating an unregistered motor vehicle, five citations for failure to renew registration, five citations for traveling unreasonably fast, two citations for failure to carry insurance card, two citations for failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway, and two citations for operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license. One citation was issued for each of the following: failure to maintain a reasonable distance apart, falsifying a marker plate, making an improper turn, failure to obey a control signal, failure to obey a stop sign, having tinted glass without DMV approval, failure to obey state traffic commission road markings, and having an improper rear marker plate.
