Madison

Saturday, Jan. 26

No arrests were made.

• A domestic dispute was investigated at 98 Beechwoods Drive at 4:31 p.m.

Sunday, Jan. 27

No arrests were made.

• A 23 year-old Meriden man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 10:59 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, having a defective muffler, and possession of less than one-half ounce of cannabis.

Monday, Jan. 28

No arrests were made.

• A motor vehicle crash was investigated at 514 Old Toll Road at 8:29 a.m.

• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 70 Woodland Road at 4:59 p.m.

Tuesday, Jan. 29

No arrests were made.

• A motor vehicle crash with injuries was investigated at 50 Mungertown Road at 11:02 a.m.

• An animal nuisance was investigated at 1288 Boston Post Road at 12:58 p.m.

Wednesday, Jan. 30

• A 40 year-old woman of Nortontown Road was arrested at 9:30 a.m. and charged with larceny in the third degree and forgery in the third degree.

• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 24 W. Sussex Place at 3:23 p.m.

Thursday, Jan. 31

No arrests were made.

• A motor vehicle crash without injuries was investigated on Durham Road at Hathaway Lane at 8:36 p.m.

Friday, Feb. 1

No arrests were made.

• A 56 year-old man of Cohasset Lane as issued a misdemeanor summons at 8:47 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and failure to signal a turn following a motor vehicle stop on Railroad Avenue at Cohasset Lane.

• A motor vehicle crash involving an animal was investigated on Old Toll Road at Race Hill Road at 8:01 a.m.

• A carbon monoxide detector alarm without medical symptoms was reported at 66 Governor’s Way at 6:16 p.m.

• An animal nuisance was reported on Opening Hill Road at Deepwood Drive at 9:40 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 2

No arrests were made.

• An animal nuisance was reported at 145 Scotland Road at 10:57 a.m.

• An animal nuisance was reported at 122 Genesee Lane at 3:29 p.m.

• A psychiatric emergency was reported on Conestoga Drive at 7:56 p.m. Police filed a formal report on the incident.

Sunday, Feb. 3

No arrests were made.

• An animal nuisance was investigated on Boston Post Road at Neck Road at 12:39 p.m.

• A domestic dispute was investigated on Kelsey Springs Drive at 1:49 p.m.

Monday, Feb. 4

No arrests were made.

• An animal nuisance was investigated at 40 Chapman Avenue at 9:50 a.m.

• A motor vehicle crash with injuries was investigated on the exit 62 off-ramp of Interstate 95.

• A motor vehicle crash with injuries was investigated in front of 333 Copse Road at 2:07 p.m.

• A motor vehicle crash without injuries was investigated on Boston Post Road at Hammonasset Connector at 2:44 p.m.

Tuesday, Feb. 5

• A 54 year-old Meriden man was arrested at 6 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, manslaughter in the second degree, manslaughter in the second degree with a motor vehicle, and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.

• A motor vehicle crash on private property was investigated on Wall Street behind the post office.

• An appliance fire was reported at 42 Riverside Terrace at 5:13 p.m.

• A domestic dispute was investigated on Nichols Hill Drive at 6:13 p.m.

Wednesday, Jan. 6

No arrested were made.

• A motor vehicle crash involving an animal was investigated on Duck Hole Road at Chief Nilson Drive at 7:23 a.m.

• An animal nuisance was investigated on Horse Pond Road at Old Duck Road at 8:39 a.m.

• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 27 Bushnell Lane at 4:50 p.m.

Thursday, Jan. 7

No arrests were made.

• An animal nuisance was investigated on Chestnut Hill Road at Durham Road at 10:22 a.m. A stray animal was placed in the animal shelter.

• Threatening was investigated on Mungertown Road at 12:49 p.m.

• An animal nuisance was investigated at 33 Ivy Island Drive at 4:13 p.m.

• A motor vehicle crash in which a drive fled the scene was investigated at 633 Boston Post Road at 6:02 p.m.

Friday, Feb. 8

No arrests were made.

• Entrapment (non-motor vehicle crash and non-fire) was investigated at 1334 Boston Post Road at 2:22 p.m.

• A stray animal was found on Wildwood Avenue at 4:19 p.m.

• An animal nuisance was investigated on the 200 block of Green Hill Road at 9 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 9

No arrests were made.

• A stray animal was found on the 100 block of Nortontown Road at 7:50 a.m.

• A motor vehicle crash without injuries was investigated on Duck Hole Road at New Road at 3:51 p.m.

• A motor vehicle crash on private property was investigated at 100 Bradley Road at 4:14 p.m.

• An animal nuisance was investigated on the 900 block of Durham Road at 6:35 p.m. The offending animal was gone by the time police arrived.

Sunday, Feb. 10

No arrests were made.

Monday, Feb. 11

• A 55 year-old man of Woodland Road was arrested at 4:05 p.m. and charged with harassment in the second degree and disorderly conduct.

• An animal nuisance was investigated on Summer Hill Road at Chestnut Hill Road at 1:36 a.m. An animal was placed in the animal shelter.

• A report of a suspicious person was investigated on Taylor Avenue at 12:04 p.m.

• An animal nuisance was reported on Chestnut Hill Road at Durham Road at 2:36 p.m.

• An animal nuisance was reported on Harkness Drive at Summer Hill Road at 2:50 p.m.

• An animal nuisance was reported on Duck Hole Road at Campus Drive at 6:35 p.m.

• A complaint of a suspicious vehicle was investigated on the mid-100 block of St. Francis Woods Road at 7:36 p.m. A formal police report of the incident was filed.

Tuesday, Feb. 12

No arrests were made.

• A brush fire was reported at 40 Island Avenue at 8:31 a.m.

• An animal nuisance was investigated on Opening Hill Road at Carmel Court at 9:34 a.m.

• A motor vehicle crash in which a driver fled the scene was investigated at 22 Hunters Trail at 11:54 a.m.

• A motor vehicle crash with injuries was investigated on Wildwood Avenue at Boston Post Road at 12:37 p.m.

Killingworth

Friday, Jan. 25

No arrests were made.

• A 54 year-old Higganum woman was issued a citation at 7:18 a.m. for traveling too fast for conditions. She was operating a 2018 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring eastbound on Route 148 when she lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a curve and a steep grade in icy conditions, spun out, and struck a metal-beam guardrail on the westbound side of the roadway. The driver was not injured in the crash.

• A 24 year-old Colchester man was issued a citation at 7:36 a.m. for traveling too fast for conditions. He was operating a 2004 Honda CR-V eastbound on Route 148 down a steep grade when she lost control on ice, struck a guardrail, and overturned down an embankment. The crash was witnessed by the investigating officer who was on-scene to investigate an unrelated incident. The driver was not injured in the crash.

Saturday, Jan. 26 to Wednesday, Feb. 6

No arrests were made.

Thursday, Feb. 7

• A 23 year-old man of Fritz Road was arrested at 12:28 a.m. on warrants charging with criminal mischief in the second degree and breach of peace in the second degree after troopers were dispatched to the Pattaconk Bar, 33 Main Street in Chester to investigated the report of a non-active disturbance. During their investigation, troopers learn that the accused had outstanding active arrest warrants dating back to a Dec. 22 incident that occurred at Lori Warner Gallery located at 21 Main Street in Chester. He was processed on a $5,000 surety bond.

Friday, Feb. 8 to Tuesday, Feb. 12
