The Guilford Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Thursday, Dec. 27

• A 23 year-old man of Bronx, New York was arrested at 3:22 p.m. and charged with larceny in the fourth degree, criminal attempt to commit larceny in the fourth degree, conspiracy to commit larceny in the fourth degree, identity theft in the third degree, and conspiracy to commit identity theft in the third degree.

• A complaint about fraud was investigated at Walmart, 900 Boston Post Road, at 3:22 p.m.

• An attempted burglary was investigated at 1327 Little Meadow Road at 4:06 p.m.

Friday, Dec. 28

• A 33 year-old man of Fitch Hill Road was arrested at 11:02 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct, criminal attempt to commit assault in the second degree, and assault in the third degree.

• A burglary was investigated at 150 High Meadow Road at 10:05 a.m.

• A burglary was investigated at 255 New England Road at 1:27 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 29

No arrests were made.

• Criminal mischief was investigated at 221 Flag Marsh Road at 10:56 a.m.

• A burglary was investigated at 3080 Boston Post Road at 11:42 a.m.

• A larceny was investigated at 934 Boston Post Road at 2:06 p.m.

• A larceny was investigated at 500 Boston Post Road at 4:59 p.m.

Sunday, Dec. 30

• A 42 year-old North Branford man was arrested at 4:24 p.m. and charged with harassment in the second degree, violation of a protective order, and criminal violation of a restraining order.

Monday, Dec. 31

No arrests were made.

Tuesday, Jan. 1

No arrests were made.

• Criminal mischief was investigated at 423 West Lake Avenue at 12:51 p.m. The complainant’s property at the corner of West Lake Avenue and Old New England Road was damaged, as had been reported in the past. He wanted an officer to document the incident. The Department of Public Works was supposed to place large rocks around the edges of the property to prevent this ongoing problem, but had not done so.

Wednesday, Jan. 2

• A 25 year-old Portland woman was arrested at 8:56 a.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the third degree, interfering with an officer/resisting arrest, and three counts of assault on a public safety officer.

• Harassment was investigated on the 4400 block if Durham Road at 11:31 a.m.

Thursday, Jan. 3

• A 46 year-old Madison woman was arrested at 4:35 p.m. and charged with making a false statement.

• A domestic dispute was investigated on the 500 block of Nut Plains Road at 5:03 a.m. Five police officers responded to the call.

Friday, Jan. 4

• A 57 year-old man of Davie, Florida was arrested at 3:20 p.m. and charged with larceny in the fifth degree.

• A theft of items from a motor vehicle was investigated at 841 West Lake Avenue at 3:13 a.m.

• A report of vehicles being entered during the overnight hours was investigated at 55 Brookside Drive at 12:37 p.m. Nothing in the vehicles was disturbed.

• A larceny was investigated at 69 Whitfield Street at 2:34 p.m.

• Risk of injury was investigated at 1001 Boston Post Road at 6:19 p.m. Children were left unattended by an adult in a silver Acura bearing Connecticut plate 509ZWB. The vehicle was gone by the time police arrived.

• A larceny was investigated at 7:28 p.m. at 1116 Boston Post Road at 7:28 p.m.

• A robbery was investigated at 1919 Boston Post Road at 7:37 p.m. All details of the incident were redacted by police for purposes of continued investigation.

Saturday, Jan. 5

• A 25 year-old man of Boston Street was arrested at 2:35 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to obey a traffic control signal.

Sunday, Jan. 6

• A 35 year-old man of Requa Circle was arrested at 9:58 a.m. and criminal mischief in the second degree.

• A 34 year-old Hamden man was arrested at 10:08 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

• Criminal mischief was investigated on Bruce Lane near Kenneth Circle at 9:58 a.m.

Monday, Jan. 7

• A 36 year-old Wallingford man was arrested at 3 p.m. on a warrant charging him with criminal trespass in the first degree.

• A 39 year-old man of Davis Drive was arrested at 8:39 p.m. on a warrant charging him with reckless endangerment in the second degree.

• A larceny was investigated at 1116 Boston Post Road at 3:56 p.m.

• A theft of items from a motor vehicle was investigated at 705 Boston Post Road at 6 p.m.

Tuesday, Jan. 8

No arrests were made.

• An item recovered from recycling was returned to a complainant at 45 Howard Drive at 11:06 p.m.

• A domestic dispute was investigated on the 2000 block of Little Meadow Road at 1:59 a.m.

Wednesday, Jan. 9

No arrests were made.

Thursday, Jan. 10

• A 34 year-old man of Hoop Pole Road was charged with extradition arrest.

• A 26 year-old woman of Andy Lane was arrested at 12:40 p.m. and charged with risk of injury to a minor, operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

• A 55 year-old homeless man of New Haven was arrested at 2 p.m. and charged with violation of a standing criminal protective order, failure to appear in the first degree, failure to appear in the second degree on outstanding warrants.

• A 45 year-old Wallingford man was arrested at 11:30 p.m. for possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis and use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 24 Coginchaug Court at 2:41 p.m.

Friday, Jan. 11

• A 40 year-old Branford woman was arrested at 11:57 a.m. and charged with larceny in the fourth degree and two counts of forgery in the third degree.

• A 43 year-old Middletown man was arrested at 6:56 p.m. and charged with interfering with an officer/resisting arrest.

• Harassment was investigated on the 900 block of Little Meadow Road at 6:57 p.m.

Saturday, Jan. 12

• A 30 year-old East Haven woman was arrested at 4:02 p.m. and charged with criminal attempt to commit larceny in the sixth degree and possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis.

• Criminal mischief was investigated at 1166 Long Hill Road at 8:32 a.m. A car window was smashed during the overnight hours. Nothing was taken.

• A complaint about an unwanted person was investigated on the 1400 block of Little Meadow Road at 2:21 p.m. All details of the incident were redacted by police.

• A larceny was investigated at Walmart, 900 Boston Post Road, at 5:10 p.m.

• Criminal mischief was investigated at 1311 Little Meadow Road at 10:11 p.m.

• A larceny was investigated at 1060 Boston Post Road at 3:30 p.m. Two bicycles were stolen.

Sunday, Jan. 13 to Monday, Jan. 14

No arrests were made.

Tuesday, Jan. 15

• A 29 year-old Branford man was arrested at 10:30 a.m. and charged with larceny in the third degree, conspiracy to commit larceny in the third degree, burglary in the third degree, conspiracy to commit larceny in the third degree, possession of burglary tools, conspiracy to possession burglary tools, criminal mischief in the first degree, conspiracy to commit criminal mischief in the first degree, and criminal mischief in the third degree.

• Criminal mischief was investigated at 1219 Jennifers Drive at 10:13 a.m. Vehicles tore up the grass.

• Harassment was investigated on Whitfield Street at 12:55 p.m.

• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 1057 Boston Post Road at 6:33 p.m.

Wednesday, Jan. 16

No arrests were made.

• Harassment was investigated on the 300 block of Whitfield Street at 10:48 a.m.

• A larceny was investigated at Guilford Commons, 1919 Boston Post Road, at 1:39 p.m.

• Neighbor trouble was investigated at 2 Guilford Court at 5:26 p.m.

• Harassment was investigated on Coachlamp Lane at 6:59 p.m.

Thursday, Jan. 17

No arrests were made.

• A domestic dispute was investigated on White Birch Drive at 3:27 p.m.

• A larceny was investigated at 830 Boston Post Road at 3:34 p.m.

• Suspicious activity was investigated at 134 Water Street at 9:51 p.m. An unknown subject knocked on the complainant’s door the prior Saturday night at 2 a.m. and attempted to gain access to the house by saying that his or her cell phone had died.

• A complaint about fraud on a Comcast account was investigated at 12 Lantern Hill Lane at 7:58 p.m.

Friday, Jan. 18

No arrests were made.

• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 15 Guilford Court at 6:38 p.m. A resident at Guilford Court gave a partial credit card number to a caller from Nigeria.

Saturday, Jan. 19

No arrests were made.

• A complaint about fraud via identity theft was investigated at 135 Sugar Loaf Road at 5:50 p.m.

Sunday, Jan. 20

• A 41 year-old man of Shore Drive was arrested at 1:55 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, possession of less than one-half ounce of cannabis, and use or possession of a controlled substance containing less than one-half ounce of cannabis.

• Neighbor trouble was investigated on Jacobs Lane at 1:31 p.m.

• Criminal mischief was investigated at 87 Den Hollow Road at 2:02 p.m. Tires were slashed on two vehicles during the overnight hours.

• A domestic dispute was investigated on the 2600 block of Durham Road at 6:07 p.m.

Monday, Jan. 21

• A 45 year-old Clinton man was arrested at 7:30 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs following a motor vehicle stop in front of 850 Boston Post Road.

Tuesday, Jan. 22

• A 22 year-old man of Church Street was arrested at 11:30 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway, possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis, and use or possession of drug paraphernalia containing less than one-half ounce of cannabis following a motor vehicle stop on Mill Road.

• Harassment was reported of 301 Soundview Road at 10:33 a.m. An employee received harassing emails.

Wednesday, Jan. 23

• A 25 year-old Madison woman was arrested at 9:25 a.m. and charged with possession of drugs by a non-student within 1,500 feet of a school or public housing, possession of less than one-half ounce of cannabis, and use or possession of drug paraphernalia containing less than one-half ounce of cannabis.

• A larceny was investigated at 830 Boston Post Road at 11:17 a.m.
