Tuesday, Aug. 28
No arrests were made.
• Neighbor trouble was investigated at 421 Old Sachems Head Road at 10:04 a.m. A neighbor would not let the complainant out of a shared driveway. Vehicle construction equipment was blocking passage. The neighbor held up a “No Trespassing” sign and advised the complainant to go back to his residence. The incident was part of an ongoing dispute.
• A domestic dispute was investigated on the 1000 block of West Lake Avenue at 8:36 p.m.
Wednesday, Aug. 29
• A 28 year-old Branford man was arrested at 7:30 p.m. and charged with criminal attempt to commit larceny in the sixth degree and criminal attempt to fraudulently use an automatic teller machine.
• Harassment was investigated on Cricket Trail at 10:33 a.m.
• A complaint about Internet fraud was investigated at 122 Broad Street at 11:23 a.m.
• A complaint about email fraud was investigated at 51 Cindy Lane at 11:31 a.m.
• A larceny was investigated at 850 Boston Post Road at 2:43 p.m.
Thursday, Aug. 30
No arrests were made.
• Harassment was investigated on Jamestown Drive at 4:22 p.m.
• A domestic dispute was investigated on River Colony at 6:29 p.m.
• A larceny was investigated at 1164 Boston Post Road at 11:30 p.m.
Friday, Aug. 31
• An 18 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 9:35 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.
• A report of a missing adult was investigated on the 2800 block of Boston Post Road at 10:11 a.m.
• A sexual assault was investigated at a redacted address at 1:23 p.m.
• A larceny was investigated at 77 Fair Street at 7:17 p.m.
• A domestic dispute was investigated on Decatur Avenue at 7:46 p.m.
• A complaint about an animal was investigated at 690 Mulberry Point Road at 9:28 p.m. A raccoon was in the kitchen and the occupants could not vacate the residence. The complaint was then withdrawn since the problem was alleviated by the complainant.
Saturday, Sept. 1
• A 47 year-old Middletown woman was arrested at 10:17 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.
• A domestic dispute was investigated on Davis Drive at 3:20 a.m.
• Found property was reported in front of 2710 Boston Post Road. According to the police activity report a “deceased coyote on the shoulder [was] hugging a [Massachusetts] plate.” Police notified the state Department of Transportation for removal of the coyote.
• A domestic dispute was investigated on the 1100 block of Hoop Pole Road at 8:28 p.m.
• A noise complaint was investigated on South Fair Street at 11:36 p.m. A loud party was reported. The homeowner was advised of the town’s sound ordinance and said he would comply. The music was turned off.
Sunday, Sept. 2
No arrests were made.
• Criminal mischief was investigated on White Pine Lane at Podunk Road at 4:20 a.m. A speed limit sign was spray painted.
• A missing juvenile was reported on the 200 block of Peddlers Road at 2:29 p.m. The juvenile was located by the fire department and escorted home. All was in order and there were no other issues.
• A complaint about two ATVs racing up and down Hoop Pole Road for hours was investigated at 6:39 p.m.
Monday, Sept. 3
No arrests were made.
• A larceny was investigated at 311 Sam Hill Road. A mailbox that was hit a couple weeks ago was later stolen.
• Threatening was investigated on the 2200 block of Long Hill Road at 9:06 p.m.
Tuesday, Sept. 4
• A 25 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 2:14 p.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to pay or plead a citation.
• A 30 year-old West Haven man was arrested at 5 p.m. and charged with criminal trespass in the first degree and larceny in the sixth degree.
• Suspicious activity was investigated at 66 Sound view Road at 11:24 a.m. A Hamden man was walking through the complainant’s backyard looking for the cell phone he lost.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 276 State Street. A mailbox and fence were damaged.
Wednesday, Sept. 5
No arrests were made.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 942 West Street at 1:22 a.m. A speed limit sign was spray painted.
• A domestic dispute was investigated below the 100 block of Sachems Head Road at 9:33 a.m.
• A complaint about possible Internet fraud was investigated at 226 White Birch Drive at 4:15 p.m.
• A complaint about an unwanted person was investigated on Weatherly Trail at 6:11 p.m. A father-in-law was not wanted on the property. Police were told he was driving a silver Kia.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at Flagship Vanlines, 1 Shoreline Drive, at 11:14 p.m.
Thursday, Sept. 6
• A 41 year-old Waterbury man was arrested at 1:04 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway.
• A complaint about a scam was investigated on Trolley Road at 12:23 p.m. The complainant received a call concerning his or her son. The son was okay and not involved in any incidents.
• Harassment via social media was investigated on Hoyt Lane at 6:36 p.m.
Friday, Sept. 7
• A 53 year-old East Haven woman was arrested at 1:15 p.m. and charged with risk of injury to a minor and assault in the third degree.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 9 Guilford Court at 11:27 a.m. The complainant received a money scam.
• Neighbor trouble was investigated on the 200 block of Church Street at 12:03 p.m. A neighbor was cutting down bushes and trees on the complainant’s property.
Saturday, Sept. 8
• A 66 year-old man of Three Mile Course was arrested at 2:57 p.m. and charged with criminal trespass in the first degree and breach of peace in the second degree. In the same incident a 63 year-old woman of the same residence was charged with breach of peace in the second degree.
• A 43 year-old Clinton man was arrested at 6:44 p.m. and charged with interfering with an officer/resisting arrest.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 2651 Durham Road at 10:01 a.m. The house and a vehicle parked on the property were egged.
• A breach of peace incident was investigated on the 400 block of Three Mile Course at 2:06 p.m. All details of the incident were redacted by police.
• Neighbor trouble was investigated on Trolley Road at 4:38 p.m. A complainant reported that tenants were trespassing on her property.
Sunday, Sept. 9
No arrests were made.
• A complaint about a loud party with loud music coming from 14 Horseshoe Road was made at 8:19 p.m. The caller stated that the loud music had been going on since noon. Another complaint about the loud music was made by a different caller at 9:06 p.m. The second complainant stated, “It sounds like I’m at the party.” The music end at 9:15 p.m., shortly before police arrived. Police spoke with the homeowner to make certain the party was over.
• A complaint about a dog barking for almost two hours was reported on Maupus Road North at 9 p.m. The complainant noted that this was a regular occurrence.
Monday, Sept. 10
No arrests were made.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 1100 Long Hill Road at 11:37 p.m. A stop sign was spray painted.
• Criminal trespass was investigated at 8 Antoinette Lane at 5:26 p.m. A caller advised that two dirt bikers cut across his property without permission. They were headed toward Bittner Park. Police searched the area and could not locate the offenders.
• Suspicious activity was reported at the Guilford train station at 5:34 p.m. The caller reported that two young teenagers were hanging out on a bench at the station and they placed some sort of cardboard on the ground, then began wandering and running toward the south side of the station.
Tuesday, Sept. 11
• A 50 year-old man of Long Hill Road was arrested at 5:51 p.m. and charged with interfering with an officer/resisting arrest, breach of peace in the second degree, and voyeurism (invasion of privacy) involving sexual arousal derived by photography of a genital area (while clothed or unclothed) without the person’s consent and not in plain view.

• The theft of a motor vehicle was investigated at 39 Alpha Avenue at 7:36 a.m. Details of the incident were redacted by police pending an open investigation.

• The theft of items from a motor vehicle was investigated at 43 Manor Road at 9:39 a.m.
Friday, Sept. 14
• A 23 year-old Branford man was arrested at 8 a.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree, risk of injury to a minor, illegal possession of weapons in a motor vehicle, reckless driving, and operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension.
• A domestic dispute was investigated on Whitfield Street at 7:51 a.m.
• Suspicious activity was investigated on Brookwood Road at 9:16 a.m. A complainant reported that the neighbors were away and yet a large U-Haul truck was in the driveway. Police learned that the neighbor came home early and all was in order.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 70 Hilltop Road at 12:15 p.m. Details of the incident were redacted by police.
• Harassment via the U.S. Mail was investigated at 291 Northwood Drive at 2:12 p.m.
• A risk of injury incident was investigated at 900 Boston Post Road at 3:27 p.m.
Saturday, Sept. 15
• A 33 year-old man and a 29 year-old woman of the same Fitch Hill Road residence were arrested at 11 p.m. Each party was charged with disorderly conduct under the Domestic Violence Act.
• A domestic dispute was investigated on the 300 block of Boston Post Road at 6:35 a.m.
• A breach of peace incident was investigated below the 100 block of Church Street at 10:10 a.m. A complainant reported that a man was acting aggressive and used inappropriate language and then headed down Church Street toward CVS.

• A complaint about fraud with a credit card was investigated at 2010 Little Meadow Road at 11:42 a.m.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 1605 Hoop Pole Road at 1:28 p.m. Details of the incident were redacted by police.
• A larceny was investigated at 1919 Boston Post Road at 2:35 p.m. Details of the incident were redacted by police.

• A dead fox was reported in the roadway in front of 727 Leetes Island Road at 3:53 a.m.
• Harassment was investigated on the 400 block of Church Street at 8:42 a.m.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 81 Saw Hill Road at 10:09 a.m.
• A domestic dispute was investigated on the 300 block of Old Whitefield Street at 2:19 p.m.
• Criminal trespass was investigated at 222 Whitefield Street at 5:11 p.m.
• A larceny was investigated at 99 Wheeler Path at 5:37 p.m.
• A domestic dispute was investigated on Davis Drive at 6:44 p.m. The incident was a verbal argument over the phone and via texts between the Davis Drive resident and a brother who lives on Water Street.

• A theft of items from a motor vehicle was investigated at 91 Greenbrier Drive at 4:04 p.m. The vehicle was left unlocked. Police remind citizens to never leave valuables or keys in unattended vehicles.

Thursday, Sept. 20
• A 49 year-old Berlin man was arrested at 10:25 a.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree.
• A landlord/tenant dispute was investigated on Ironwood Road at 12:35 p.m.
• A welfare check was called into police for a location on Trolley Road at 8:14 p.m. A woman reported that she could not locate a man who was crabbing in the area and no one had heard from him for several hours. The man was found at home in Northford and the call was canceled.
Friday, Sept. 21
No arrests were made.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 570 New England Road at 7:03 a.m. Tires were slashed on two vehicles.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 658 Mulberry Point Road at 10:21 p.m. Property pictures were being used fraudulently on a Craigslist house rental advertisement.
• Neighbor trouble was investigated on Long Hill Farms at 11:45 a.m. A neighbor was yelling at the complainant’s mother.
• Suspicious activity was reported at Guilford High School, 605 New England Road, at 1:51 p.m. Numerous students received texts from unknown numbers that contained Internet links.
• A complainant on Lovers Lane reported that four kids cut through his yard to get to the Guilford Fair at 7:16 p.m. The children were escorted off the property and the complaint was withdrawn.
• A complaint about a loud party was reported on Christopher Lane near Long Hill Road at 11:12 p.m. Police spoke with the homeowner, who agreed to turn the music off and go inside.
Saturday, Sept. 22
• A 23 year-old Torrington woman was arrested at 8:25 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway.
• A complaint about loud music was investigated on the 300 block of Moose Hill Road at 9:39 p.m. Police checked the area and could hear no music playing.
Sunday, Sept. 23
No arrests were made.
• Numerous reports of thefts from motor vehicles were investigated during the morning hours. Vehicles were entered during the overnight hours at the following addresses: 34 Seaside Avenue, 2 Guilford Point Drive, 33 Horseshoe Road, 3 Cornfield Lane, 7 Cornfield Lane, 318 South Union Street, and 20 Halleck Street. The vehicles entered in each case had been left unlocked.
• A complaint about loud music was investigated on Union Street at 11:56 a.m. The incident was reported as an ongoing concern. All was quiet when police arrived, and the source of the music could not be determined.
• A vehicle repossession was conducted at 109 West Lake Avenue at 12:14 p.m.
• A breach of peace incident was investigated on Lovers Lane at 2:56 p.m.

No arrests were made.
• Harassment was investigated on the 400 block of North Madison Road at 2:09 p.m.
• A complaint about identity theft was investigated at 4 Chelwin Lane at 6:35 p.m.

• A risk of injury complaint was investigated on the 400 block of Church Street at 2:42 p.m.
• A domestic dispute was investigated on the 1200 block of Boston Post Road at 9:19 p.m.

• A larceny was investigated at Guilford High School, 605 New England Road, at 7:22 a.m. Details of the incident were redacted by police.
• A complaint about a dog in a white Jeep Cherokee was investigated at 2279 Boston Post Road at 8:57 p.m. Police spoke with the owner the Jeep, who was told to leave the windows open or the air conditioning on when leaving the dog in the vehicle.
