Police Incident Report for Sept. 5 to 25


The East Haven Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Wednesday, Sept. 5

• A 50 year-old New Haven man and a 30 year-old Prospect man were arrested at 1:48 p.m. Each man was charged with criminal attempt to commit robbery in the second degree and conspiracy to commit robbery in the second degree. Each man was processed on a $15,000 surety bond.

Thursday, Sept. 6

• A 32 year-old man of Coe Avenue was arrested at 2:40 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and assault in the third degree.

• A 28 year-old man of Messina Drive was arrested at 11:23 a.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree.

• A 49 year-old Branford man was arrested at 5:40 p.m. and charged with violation of probation.

• A 33 year-old man of Hemingway Avenue was arrested at 10:15 p.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the second degree and criminal mischief in the third degree.

Friday, Sept. 7

• A 30 year-old woman of Angela Drive was arrested at 12:04 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

• A 29 year-old man of Short Beach Road was arrested at 4:40 p.m. and charged with risk of injury to a minor. He was processed on a $10,000 surety bond.

• A 24 year-old Waterbury man was arrested at 11:06 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree following an investigation the 100 block of Silver Sands Road.

Saturday, Sept. 8

• A 21 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 5:20 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failure to display lights, larceny in the third degree, criminal trover in the first degree, interfering with an officer/resisting arrest, and failure to appear in the second degree on an outstanding warrant.

Sunday, Sept. 9

• A 41 year-old North Haven man was arrested at 2 p.m. and charged with threatening in the second degree.

Monday, Sept. 10

• A 19 year-old New Haven man was arrested at midnight and charged with reckless driving, engaging police in pursuit, larceny in the third degree, criminal trover in the first degree, criminal impersonation, interfering with an officer/resisting arrest, and reckless endangerment in the first degree.

• A 27 year-old Branford woman was arrested at 12:45 p.m. on a warrant charging her with failure to appear in the first degree. She was processed on a $30,000 surety bond.

• A 37 year-old woman of Nicesca Drive was arrested at 10:31 p.m. and charged with criminal trespass in the first degree, larceny in the sixth degree, credit card theft, and violation of a standing protective order.

Tuesday, Sept. 11

• A 23 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 5:54 p.m. and charged with possession of narcotics, conspiracy to commit possession of narcotics, possession of cannabis, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license, and having tinted glass without DMV approval.

• A 49 year-old man of Whalers Point was arrested at 9:20 p.m. and charged with possession of great than one-half ounce of cannabis, use or possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, improper use of marker plate, and failure to display plates.

Wednesday, Sept. 19

• A 20 year-old man of Second Avenue was arrested at 7:12 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree.

• A 47 year-old woman of Green Glen Terrace was arrested at 8:50 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct. She was processed on a $5,000 surety bond.

• A 56 year-old man of Foxon Hill Road was arrested at 11:30 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct, interfering with an emergency call, assault in the third degree, and threatening in the second degree. He was processed on a $100,000 surety bond.

• A 37 year-old man of St. Andrews Avenue was arrested at 11:53 p.m. and charged with interfering with an officer/resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and assault in the third degree. He was processed on a $10,000 surety bond.

Thursday, Sept. 20

• A 25 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 11:43 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree and use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

Friday, Sept. 21

• A 43 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 11:52 a.m. and charged with larceny in the third degree, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, and failure to renew registrations.

• A 24 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 2:51 p.m. and charged with larceny in the third degree, reckless driving, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, failure to renew registration, and operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license. He was processed on a $2,500 surety bond.

• A 21 year-old man of Brooklyn, New York was arrested at 7:59 p.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the third degree, interfering with an officer/resisting arrest, reckless driving, and evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident). He was processed on a $5,000 surety bond.

• A 22 year-old man of Brooklyn, New York was arrested at 8:13 p.m. and charged with interfering with an officer/resisting arrest.

Saturday, Sept. 22

No arrests were made.

Sunday, Sept. 23

• A 33 year-old man of Francis Street Extension was arrested at 9 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

Monday, Sept. 24

• A 67 year-old woman of Fox Ridge Drive was arrested at 12:43 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct, violation of a protective order, and threatening in the second degree. She was processed on a $5,000 surety bond.

Tuesday, Sept. 25

• A 24 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 3:13 a.m. and charged with interfering with an officer/resisting arrest.
