Branford
Wednesday, Sept. 19
• A 32 year-old Hamden man was arrested at 7:45 a.m. and charged with public indecency, breach of peace in the second degree, reckless driving, and evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident).
• A 50 year-old man of Brookwood Drive was arrested at 4:13 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree.
• A 27 year-old woman of Court Street was issued a misdemeanor summons at 9:11 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, improper use of marker plate, and failure to obey a stop sign.
• A 33 year-old woman of Main Street was issued a misdemeanor summons at 8:23 p.m. for evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident).
Thursday, Sept. 20
No arrests were made.
• A 34 year-old North Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 4:49 p.m. for reckless driving and failure to obey a traffic control signal.
Friday, Sept. 21
No arrests were made.
Saturday, Sept. 22
• A 20 year-old man of Stonegate Circle was arrested at 1:45 a.m. and charged with criminal trespass in the first degree, breach of peace in the second degree, and violation of a protective order.
• A 45 year-old North Haven woman was arrested at 6:09 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree and conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree.
• A 34 year-old Bristol man was arrested at 9:36 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• A 45 year-old North Haven woman was arrested at 11:30 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.
Sunday, Sept. 23
No arrests were made.
Monday, Sept. 24
• A 27 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 1 a.m. and charged with interfering with an officer/resisting arrest, operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, failure to carry registration, and failure to carry an operator’s license. While in custody he was also charged with two counts of failure to appear in the second degree on outstanding warrants.
• A 24 year-old woman of New York, New York was arrested at 2 a.m. on a warrant charging her with criminal mischief in the second degree.
Tuesday, Sept. 25
No arrests were made.
From Sept. 19 to 25, Branford police issued 20 citations to motorists for failure to obey a control signal, 16 citations for operating an unregistered motor vehicle, five citations for using a hand-held cell phone while driving, four citations for failure to obey a stop sign, and three citations for traveling unreasonably fast. One citation was issued for each of the following: failure to obey state traffic commission road markings, failure to display plates, failure to keep right on a curve or at an intersection, and having an obstructed view through the windshield.
North Branford
Wednesday, Sept. 19
No arrests were made.
• A 69 year-old Guilford man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 5:39 p.m. for evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident). He was operating a gray 2013 Toyota Highlander Hybrid.
Thursday, Sept. 20
No arrests were made.
• An 18 year-old man of Valley Road was issued a misdemeanor summons at 4:55 p.m. for evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident). He was operating a green 1999 Ford Ranger.
Friday, Sept. 21
No arrests were made.
Saturday, Sept. 22
• An 18 year-old East Haven man was arrested at 2:15 a.m. and charged with assault in the third degree.
• An 18 year-old man of White Hollow Road in Northford was arrested at 2:30 a.m. and charged with assault in the third degree.
• An 18 year-old man of Oxbow Lane was arrested at 3:47 a.m. and charged with assault in the third degree.
Sunday, Sept. 23
No arrests were made.
• A 36 year-old Meriden man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 1:05 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension. He was operating a gray 2012 Chrysler 200 LX.
Monday, Sept. 24 to Tuesday, Sept. 25
No arrests were made.
From Sept. 19 to 25, North Branford police issued three citations to motorists for operating an unregistered motor vehicle and two citations for traveling unreasonably fast. One citation was issued for each of the following: making an improper right turn, speeding, failure to grant right of way at an intersection, and failure to maintain a reasonable distance apart. Police issued $498 in fines.
