She was operating a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze on Route 81 just south of Chittenden Road when she collided with a 2016 Toyota Highlander Limited as operated by a 37 year-old East Hampton woman. No injuries were reported.

• A 52 year-old West Hartford woman was issued a citation at 10:24 a.m. for failure to maintain a reasonable distance apart. She was operating a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu Limited southbound on Route 81, one-tenth of a mile south of Green Hill Road, when she stuck the rear end of a 2005 Nissan Murano operated by a 29 year-old Vernon man who had slowed for the vehicle in front of him. The Nissan was pushed into the rear of the leading vehicle, a 2001 Dodge Dakota operated by a 63 year-old man of Sunset Farm in Killingworth. The crash took place in front of Dunkin Donuts. The operator of the Dodge was transported to the Yale New Haven Shoreline Medical Clinic in Guilford for treatment of minor injuries sustained in the crash. The operators of the other two vehicles refused medical attention. All three vehicles were towed.
• A two vehicle crash was investigated on Route 80 at the entrance of Chatfield Hollow State Park. A 35 year-old Clinton man was operating a 2002 Jeep Wrangler eastbound on Route 80 when two vehicles he was following stopped abruptly to turn into the Chatfield Hollow parking lot. He swerved into the oncoming westbound lane to avoid a rear-end collision and instead collided head-on with a 2012 Subaru Legacy operated by a 73 year-old man of Reservoir Road. The operator of the Subaru sustained injuries and was transported by Lifestar to Yale New Haven Hospital. The operator of the Jeep was not injured and refused transport. No charges were made since the crash was still under investigation at press time.

• A 57 year-old East Haven woman was issued a citation at 4:36 p.m. for failure to maintain a reasonable distance apart. She was operating 2003 Honda Civic LX northbound on Route 81 when she struck the rear of a 2001 Subaru Legacy Outback operated by a 73 year-old man of Chittenden Road in Killingworth. No injuries were reported or observed.
