Friday, July 6
• A 36 year-old Wallingford man was arrested at 2:47 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.
• A 42 year-old woman of Rock Lane was arrested at 6 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
• A domestic dispute was investigated on the 2500 block of Long Hill Road at 2:24 a.m. The incident was a verbal argument only. A male left the residence in a beige GMC Sierra.
• A larceny from a motor vehicle was investigated at 97 Briarwood Drive at 8:13 a.m. An unlocked vehicle was entered during the overnight hours.
• Found property was reported on River Street at 9:54 a.m. An anonymous male found a child’s car seat in the parking lot at Olmstead Overlook. He brought the seat into police headquarters.
• A complaint about fraud involving unauthorized access to the complainant’s bank account was investigated at 90 Pepperbush Lane at 2:42 p.m.
• A larceny from a motor vehicle was investigated at 849 Jennifers Drive at 6:09 p.m. A vehicle was entered during the early morning hours, around 3 a.m.
• Peddling without a permit was investigated on North Mill Circle at 7:44 p.m. A person was walking around the neighborhood selling pest control. The vehicle associated with the peddler displayed New York license plate 835AUC.
Saturday, July 7
No arrests were made.
• A larceny was investigated at 700 Old New England Road at 1:36 a.m. Mailbox damage was also reported.
• Mailbox damage was discovered by police in front of 1390 Moose Hill Road at 2:58 a.m. It appeared that the mailbox was struck by a southbound vehicle. Police left a red tag (a note) for the owner.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 312 Peddlers Road at 3:26 a.m. during a routine police patrol. A mailbox was knocked off it post. Police left a red tag (a note) for the owner.
• A larceny from a motor vehicle was investigated at 2514 Boston Post Road at 8:06 a.m. An unlocked vehicle was entered during the overnight hours.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 1390 Moose Hill Road at 11:18 a.m. A mailbox was damaged.
• Sudden death/bodies found was reported at 8 Wauwinet Court at 7:45 p.m. A 52 year-old male was listed as deceased upon arrival by police.
• A breach of peace incident was investigated on the 100 block of Lake Drive at 8:35 p.m. A caller reported that a neighbor was intoxicated, trespassing, and causing issues.
• A report of a missing child was investigated on the 100 block of Lovers Lane at 9:19 p.m. The mother located the child.
Sunday, July 8
No arrests were made.
• A complaint about an unwanted person was investigated on Driftwood Lane at 1:31 p.m.
• An anonymous caller reported that a duck was caught on fishing line in the crabbing area of Leetes Island Road at 2:09. Police could not locate an injured duck.
Monday, July 9
• A 28 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 6:15 p.m. and charged with larceny in the fourth degree.
• Suspicious activity was investigated at 605 New England Road at 4:29 a.m. A complainant heard a car alarm/horn sound about five times. A dog was also alerted. The complainant’s son saw one person walking in the neighbor’s driveway and then westbound on New England Road. The suspicious person was wearing dark clothing, possible a hooded sweatshirt. Four police officers responded. They could to not find the suspect. No vehicles appeared to have been entered in the area.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 400 Church Street at 12:26 p.m. All details of the incident were redacted by police.
• Criminal trespass in investigated on Sage Hollow Road at 3:04 p.m. A caller stated that two youths went out onto the lake in a canoe, possibly each with a joint behind an ear. The caller stated that the youths said they had permission to be in the area, but they did not actually have permission. Police could not locate the youths.
• Neighbor trouble was investigated on Mohawk Trail at 4:51 p.m. A caller stated that multiple neighbors were arguing in a parking lot and thought the incident might escalate.
Tuesday, June 10
• A 19 year-old Waterbury man was arrested at 10 a.m. and charged with seven counts of burglary in the third degree, seven counts of conspiracy to commit burglary in the third degree, two counts of credit card theft, two counts of conspiracy to commit credit card theft, one count of larceny in the fourth degree, and one count of conspiracy to commit larceny in the fourth degree.
• A 40 year-old man of Boston Post Road was arrested at 4:26 p.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the second degree.
• Neighbor trouble was investigated on Millinocket Trail at 1:02 p.m.
• A domestic dispute was investigated at 28 Meadow Street at 10:26 p.m.
Wednesday, June 11
• A 20 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 12:05 a.m. and charged with possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis, use or possession of drug paraphernalia containing less than one-half ounce of cannabis, operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license, and failure to have headlamps.
• A complaint about credit card fraud was investigated at 650 West Lake Avenue at 3:32 p.m.
Thursday, July 12
No arrests were made.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 355 Great Hill Road at 11:34 a.m. Personal information was accidentally given out to a possible scammer.
Friday, July 13
No arrests were made.
• Possible illegal discharge of weapons was investigated on Mohawk Trail at 9:23 a.m. A complainant who lives in the area condos heard automatic rifle fire from the bluffs. Police checked the bluff area and the local gun club. All was quiet.
• A scam phone call from a number listed to a Town of Guilford government office at 31 Park Street to a location in Nevada was investigated at 3:52 p.m. Guilford police assisted a Carson City, Nevada police agency regarding the call.
• A complaint about a white male with gray hair operating a black Nissan on Boston Street at Whitfield Street was investigated at 6:04 p.m.
Saturday, July 14
• A 61 year-old woman of Sylvan Hill Road was arrested at 8:55 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.
Sunday, July 15
No arrests were made.
• A complaint about a brown Subaru station wagon with no plates being operated erratically was investigated on the 900 block of Durham Road at 1:02 p.m. Police could not locate the suspect vehicle.
• A wallet was found in front of 400 Church Street and handed over to police at 1:26 p.m. Money was also found in the road.
• A complaint about two to three quad ATVs being driven very fast up and down West Street was investigated at 3:48 p.m. Police could not locate the offending vehicles.
• A roaming dog was found on Great Hill Road at 4:19 p.m. The dog was returned to its owner.
Monday, July 16
• A 48 year-old man of Saddle Hill Drive was arrested at 5 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.
• A 41 year-old North Branford man was arrested at 7:30 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs following a motor vehicle stop on West Lake Avenue.
• A motor vehicle complaint was investigated on Water Street at Whitfield Street at 4:39 p.m. A silver Volvo sedan bearing Connecticut plate 980PZN almost hit the complainant head-on after swerving into the opposite lane. Police located the vehicle and questioned the driver. The driver of the Volvo admitted that he was looking down and swerved over into the oncoming lane prior to the complaint being made about his driving. He apologized to the complainant.
Tuesday, June 17
• A 19 year-old Waterbury man was arrested at 10:30 a.m. and charged with eight counts of burglary in the third degree, eight counts of conspiracy to commit burglary in the third degree, two counts of credit card theft, two counts of conspiracy to commit credit card theft, larceny in the fourth degree, conspiracy to commit larceny in the fourth degree, larceny in the sixth degree, and conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree.
• A complaint about damage done to property by a neighbor’s pavement company was investigated on Laurel Ridge Road at 9:52 a.m.
Wednesday, June 18
• A 58 year-old man of Flag Marsh Road was arrested at 5:50 a.m. and charged with risk of injury to a minor and sexual assault in the fourth degree.
• A 45 year-old woman of Boston Post Road was arrested at 8:20 a.m. on a warrant charging her with failure to appear in the second degree.
• A 37 year-old man of Sam Hill Road was arrested at 8:05 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.
• A domestic dispute was investigated on the 300 block of Woodland Road at 5:32 p.m. The incident was an elderly woman versus her 50 year-old son. The dispute was verbal only and no enforcement action was taken.
Thursday, July 26
No arrests were made.
• A noise complaint was investigated on Bullard Drive. The complaint reported hearing numerous dirt bikes behind Baldwin School. The area was clear when police checked.
Friday, July 27
• A 45 year-old Bridgeport man was arrested at 10:30 a.m. and charged with criminal impersonation, operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, improper use of marker plate, and possession of less than one-half ounce of cannabis. While in custody he was also charged with failure to pay of plead a citation and failure to appear in the second degree on outstanding warrants.
• A 43 year-old Bridgeport man was arrested on a warrant at 10:30 a.m. and charged with failure to appear in the second degree.
Saturday, July 28
• A 28 year-old Milford man was arrested at 8 a.m. and charged with violation of probation.
• A noise complaint (a loud party) was investigated on Echo Point Road at 11:12 p.m. The partygoers moved inside and stated they would keep the noise down for the rest of the evening.
Sunday, July 29
No arrests were made.
• A complaint about a speeding quad ATV creating excessive noise was investigated on Soundview Road at 9:22 a.m.
• A welfare check was made at 125 Goose Lane at 12:09 p.m. An anonymous caller reported that a woman was passed out inside a white Buick that was in the parking lot. No license plate number was given. She was brought into the emergency room by Yale emergency room police at 111 Goose Lane before police arrived.
• Police escort was provided for a person who needed to retrieve belongings on Milford Road at 2:33 p.m.
• A breach of peace incident was investigated at the motel at 80 Route 80 at 5:57 p.m. A man in one of the rooms pushed the complainant.
• Criminal trespass was investigated at 1350 Durham Road at 11:59 p.m. A person was out in the field looking at the stars. No issues were noted.
Monday, July 30
• A 25 year-old Ivoryton man was arrested at 11:20 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree.
• A vehicle repossession was conducted at 83 Horseshoe Road by Collateral Recovery Services at 12:20 a.m.
• A complaint about noise was investigated on Field Road at 9:01 p.m.
Tuesday, July 31
No arrests were made.
• A complaint about fraud via a letter was investigated at 313 Boston Street at 2:10 p.m.
Wednesday, Aug. 1
• A 59 year-old woman of Fawn Lane was arrested at 6:50 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 122 Broad Street at 10:55 a.m.
