Police Incident Report for July 4 to 31


The Harbor News publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in the towns of Clinton, Westbrook, and Old Saybrook. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Clinton

Wednesday, July 4

• A 46 year-old man of Glenwood Road was arrested at 10:57 p.m. and charged with violation of a protective order. Occupation: sales person.

Thursday, July 5

• A 21 year-old man of Liberty Street was arrested at 7:30 a.m. and charged with two counts of violation of probation.

• A landlord/tenant dispute was investigated on Coach Light Drive at 9:48 a.m.

• A dispute was investigated at Snap Fitness, 266 East Main Street, at 5:51 p.m. An unidentified woman yelled at the complainant and poked him in the chest while at the gym. He took a picture of the woman’s license plate. Police made several attempts to contact the woman at her home, but she was unavailable each time. Police stated they would continue to attempt to speak with her.

• A trespass complaint was investigated on West Road at 8:37 p.m. A caller reported that several juvenile males were playing baseball in the area on a private beach and causing damage to her property. The boys were advised by police to not go onto the complainant’s property or action could be taken against them for trespassing.

Friday, July 6

No arrests were made.

• A complaint about three children (two girls and a boy) climbing a fence and trespassing was investigated on Snow Lane at 5:31 p.m.

Saturday, July 7

No arrests were made.

• A motor vehicle crash with injuries was investigated on Fairy Dell Road at 1:11 p.m. A juvenile caller reported that he was skateboarding on the crosswalk in front of Eliot School when he was hit by a black car operated by a Hispanic man wearing a baseball hat and jeans. A witness stated that the vehicle was a black pickup truck with a plate possibly ending with the numerals 07123. The skateboard was broken in the crash and the skater suffered some cuts and scrapes. The operator of the vehicle drove the complainant home and gave him $100. The boy’s father advised him to call police. Police asked the boy if he needed an ambulance. He declined the ambulance. The operator of the vehicle was wanted for evading (fleeing) the scene of an accident.

Sunday, July 8

• A 46 year-old woman of Belchertown, Massachusetts was arrested at 4:40 p.m. and charged with leaving a child under the age of 12 unsupervised in a public place or motor vehicle following an investigation into the report of an unaccompanied child at the shopping mall located at 20 Killingworth Turnpike.

• A dispute was investigated at Knollwood Drive at 4:39 p.m.

Monday, July 9

• A 41 year-old man of River Road was arrested at 4 p.m. and charged with four counts of criminal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Many weapons were seized from the residence.

• A larceny involving the theft of medications was investigated at 3 Lionel Avenue at 1:06 p.m.

• A dispute was investigated on the town dock at 8:33 p.m. One person was upset with another person for disobeying the wake zone near Cedar Island Marina. Police mediated the dispute and closed the case.

Tuesday, June 10

• A 21 year-old man of Old Nod Road was arrested at 2:05 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

• A domestic dispute was investigated on Airline Road at 2:14 p.m.

Wednesday, July 11

• A 22 year-old Madison man was arrested at 12:39 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway.

• A 23 year-old man of Nod Road was arrested at 3:20 a.m. and charged with larceny in the fifth degree.

• A 37 year-old Cheshire man was arrested at 12:56 p.m. and charged with harassment in the second degree and violation of a protective order.

Thursday, July 12

No arrests were made.

• A robbery was investigated at 34 Riverside Drive at 1:36 a.m.

• Criminal mischief was investigated at 21 Groveway at 11:26 a.m.

• A larceny was investigated at 75 Groveway at 3:47 p.m. A man reported that his two kayaks were stolen. The Old Saybrook Fire Department reported finding two kayaks in the water. They matched the description of the missing kayaks and the owner made arrangement to get his kayaks back.

Friday, July 13

• A 28 year-old man of Beach Park Road was arrested at 7:34 a.m. and charged with the counts of larceny in the fifth degree and conspiracy to commit larceny in the fifth degree.

• A larceny was investigated at 5 Robin Lane at 12:08 p.m. Someone in California hacked the complainant’s bank account.

• Harassment investigated at 170 East Main Street at 1:48 p.m. A threatening statement was made via text from an out-of-state number, possibly from Texas.

• A larceny was investigated at 20 Killingworth Turnpike at 2:28 a.m. A male was shoplifting at several stores.

• A larceny was investigated at 237 East Main Street at 3:15 p.m. The complainant’s mail was opened, and his account was changed from Comcast to Frontier.

Saturday, July 14

• A 27 year-old man of Killingworth Turnpike was arrested at 2:03 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

• A domestic dispute was investigated on the 200 block of Killingworth Turnpike.

• A disturbance was investigated at McDonald’s, 108 West Main Street, at 11:37 p.m. A woman was searching for her missing daughter. The daughter was at the restaurant and left before the mother arrived.

Sunday, July 15

• A 44 year-old Middletown man was arrested at 5 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway following a motor vehicle stop on Glenwood Road.

• A disturbance involving people yelling and screaming at each other was investigated on Cedar Island at 3:23 p.m. Two old males in bathing suits were being rude to the complainant. Police mediated the situation.

Monday, July 16

• A 27 year-old man of Providence, Rhode Island was arrested at 2:10 p.m. and charged with larceny in the third degree, larceny in the sixth degree, and illegal possession of a shoplifting device.

• An 18 year-old Niantic man was arrested at 6:15 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

• A larceny was investigated at 23 College Street at 11:48 a.m. The property manager reported that one residential unit was stealing electricity from another unit. The case required further investigation.

• A domestic dispute was investigated on Glenwood Road at 5:17 p.m. A mother and 11 year-old daughter (Clinton residents) began arguing in the parking lot over the purchase of a hamster and the argument became physical. The complainant reported that the mother pulled the daughter into the vehicle. The mother reported that she pulled the girl’s purse out of her daughter’s hands in attempt to get her into the vehicle. Police did not observe any marks on either the mother or the daughter and determined that the incident was verbal only and not as reported by the complainant.

• A larceny was investigated on North High Street at 8:14 p.m. The complainant reported that her brother was stealing furniture from her trailer and charging her for gasoline. Police learned the incident was not as first reported by the complainant.

No arrests were made.

• A domestic dispute was investigated on Willow Lane at 6:34 a.m.

• A larceny was investigated at 266 East Main Street at 10:58 a.m. An elderly man took a woman’s shopping cart containing her purse by accident during senior shopping day. The cart and purse were found; nothing was missing.

• A larceny involving credit card fraud was investigated at 170 East Main Street at 1:21 p.m.

Wednesday, July 18

• A 33 year-old man of Burnham, Maine was arrested at 6:07 p.m. and charged with larceny in the second degree, failure to appear in the first degree, failure to appear in the second degree, and two counts of violation of probation.

• A 53 year-old man of Cedar Road was arrested at 9:54 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to obey a control signal.

• Harassment was investigated on Grove Street at 6:32 p.m. A former landlord called a former female tenant at her place of work to state that she owed him $60,000 and that his lawyers would be in touch with her. The female complainant told police that she rented from the landlord in 2015 and 2016 and that she had not had contact with him over the past year. No threats were of physical violence were made. The woman was told to call police if the former landlord called her again.

• A larceny was investigated at 89 Glenwood Road at 7:28 p.m. The complainant reported that a Verizon account was opened in his name without his authorization.

• A domestic dispute was investigated on Brian Avenue at 11:18 p.m. A caller reported that his wife might be poisoning him. The dispute was verbal only and the two parties agreed to leave each other alone.

Thursday, July 19

• A 45 year-old woman of Cow Hill Road was arrested at 11:45 a.m. on a warrant charging her with failure to pay or plead a citation.

• A 32 year-old woman of Airline Road was arrested at 8 p.m. on a warrant charging her with failure to appear in the second degree.

• A burglary was investigated at 30 Egypt Lane at 4:31 p.m. A female believed she heard a noise in the basement while standing outside the house with her mother and hearing their dog barking viciously. Police investigated and determined that there was no sign that a burglary had occurred, and the call was not as first reported.

• A larceny was investigated at 82 Uncas Road at 4:44 p.m. An unauthorized balance transfer was made to the complainant’s credit card in the amount of $7,640.

Friday, July 20

No arrests were made.

• A 48 year-old Plainfield man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 3:52 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and failure to grant right of way at an intersection.

Saturday, July 21

• A 41 year-old man of Wildwood Park Road was arrested at 4:50 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and violation of large capacity magazine requirements for a firearm. In the same incident a 46 year-old North Haven woman was charged with disorderly conduct.

Sunday, July 22

• An 18 year-old man of High Street was arrested at 4:40 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct

Tuesday, June 24

No arrests were made.

• A 64 year-old Madison woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 6 p.m. for evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident in which there was property damage or physical injury).

Wednesday, July 25

• A 26 year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 6:25 p.m. on a warrant charging her with failure to appear in the second degree.

Thursday, July 26

• A 27 year-old man of Killingworth Turnpike was arrested at 7:50 p.m. and charged with violation of probation.

• An untimely death was investigated at 36 West Main Street at 2:34 p.m. A landlord reported that he entered one of his apartments and found his tenant “obviously” deceased in his bed.

Friday, July 27

No arrests were made.

• A domestic dispute was investigated at 41 Glenwood Road at 7:32 p.m. Police determined that no assault took place as first reported, and that a woman was bleeding from her head due to a fall. The woman claimed that her husband had assaulted her, but she did not know where he was or what he was last wearing. There was no sign of a struggle, and police discovered that the husband was not home at the time of the incident. The injured woman also had the odor of alcoholic beverage on her breath. There was no probable cause to make an arrest for assault or disorderly conduct.

Saturday, July 28

No arrests were made.

• A 29 year-old New Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 7:55 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension following a motor vehicle stop on Killingworth Turnpike.

• A dispute/disturbance was investigated in front of 45 Stanton Road at 3:03 p.m. A concerned citizen took it upon himself to confront a FedEx driver he believed was speeding in a neighborhood in which children live. Heated words were exchanged. Neither party wished to press charges against the other. Police informed the concerned citizen that he handled the situation in the wrong manner and to call police next time.

• A dispute/disturbance was investigated at 215 East Main Street at 3:35 p.m. Two men had a verbal argument over a parking space. Police mediated the situation.

• A shoplifting incident was investigated at 20 Killingworth Turnpike at 7:25 p.m. Calvin Klein Store management reported that two young boys stole an item of clothing. Police questioned the boys and studied the store video record. Store personnel could not prove the boys stole anything. Probable cause for arrest could not be established and the boys were released.

Sunday, July 29

• A 56 year-old woman of Stevens Road was arrested at 2:30 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

• A 47 year-old woman of Walnut Hill Road was issued a misdemeanor summons at 9:45 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance and having improper rear marker lamps.

Monday, July 30

• A 19 year-old woman of Evergreen Drive was arrested at 7:30 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

Thursday, July 5

• A 45 year-old man of Knothe Road was arrested at 5:59 p.m. on a warrant charging him with violation of probation. He was processed and released after posting a $25,000 surety bond.

• An 18 year-old man of East Pond Road Meadow Road was arrested at 7:46 p.m. on a warrant charging him with disorderly conduct and threatening in the second degree. He was processed and held on a $5,000 surety bond be could not post.

Friday, July 6

• A 56 year-old man of Marlboro, New York was arrested at 3:12 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree after he shoplifted a pair of $200 Ray-Ban sunglasses from the Sunglass Hut at the Westbrook Outlets located on Flat Rock Place. He was processed on a $2,000 bond.

Saturday, July 7

• A 72 year-old Middletown man was arrested at 12:38 a.m. and charged with reckless driving, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway, and failure to stop on the right side of the road.

• A 52 year-old Niantic man was arrested at 9:05 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway. He was observed cutting in front of vehicles. After police stopped him, they detected the odor of alcoholic beverage. The driver agreed to and failed a standardized field sobriety test.

• A 37 year-old Haddam woman was arrested at 10:16 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct. She pushed a 36 year-old person against the wall during an argument. No injuries were reported or observed.

Sunday, July 8

• A 30 year-old Old Lyme man was arrested at 1:08 a.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway. He was operating a vehicle that he rolled over. He refused medical attention at the scene and failed a standardized field sobriety test to which he’d consented taking.

• A 21 year-old Vermont man was arrested at 5:34 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree, assault on a public safety officer, and interfering with an officer/resisting arrest. He was processed on a $25,000 surety bond. The man’s father drove him to Troop F in Westbrook because he was “heavily intoxicated and out of control,” according the police press report. When approached by troopers, the accused engaged them in a fight. After he resisted for several minutes, troopers subdued the man and took him into custody.

Monday, July 9

• A 58 year-old Old Lyme man was arrested at 6:08 p.m. and charged with burglary in the third degree, criminal mischief in the first degree, interfering with an emergency call, and reckless endangerment in the first degree. He was processed on a $5,000 surety bond.

Tuesday, June 10

• A 21 year-old Hamden man was arrested at 7:24 a.m. and charged with conspiracy to commit larceny in the third degree and conspiracy to commit larceny in the fourth degree. He was processed on a $25,000 surety bond.

• A two-vehicle crash was investigated on Essex Road near Timber Lane Drive at 8:15 p.m. A 39 year-old woman of Fairview Road was operating a 2014 Kia Forte northbound on Essex Road when she crossed over fully into the northbound lane while rounding a curve and collided head-on with a 2009 Ford Explorer operated by a 57 year-old East Haddam woman who was traveling northbound in the north lane. The operator of the Kia attempted to pull to the far right and went over the curb and sidewalk before the collision occurred. The operator of the Explorer refused medical attention and the operator of the Kia was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital for injuries she sustained to her chest and hip. No enforcement action was indicated in the police press report.

Thursday, July 12

• A 34 year-old man of Seekonk, Massachusetts was arrested at 8:39 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle, failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway, and possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis.

Friday, July 13

• A 61 year-old Clinton woman was arrested at 8:58 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway following a motor vehicle stop on Boston Post Road. A concerned citizen followed the woman (until police could arrive) as she erratically operated a silver Honda Pilot bearing Connecticut registration plate 313NKZ from Dunkin Donuts to Cristy’s Luncheonette. During the vehicle stop, the investigating trooper noted a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emanating from the driver’s breath. She agreed to and failed a standardized field sobriety test.

• A 31 year-old Clinton man was issued a citation at 7:34 a.m. for failure to maintain a reasonable distance apart. He was operating a 2002 Ford Focus on Boston Post Road near Grove Beach North Road when he struck the rear of a 1968 Pontiac Catalina operated by a 58 year-old Clinton man. No injuries were reported by the occupants the vehicles or observed by investigating troopers.

Saturday, July 14

• A 42 year-old Old Saybrook man was arrested at 3:56 p.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the second degree to face charges of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, reckless driving, and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway.

Sunday, July 15

• A 26 year-old Oakdale man was arrested at 10:55 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway. He was operating a blue 2015 Subaru Legacy erratically when he struck another vehicle. He stated that he looked down at his phone and lost control of the vehicle. He was transported to the Middlesex Hospital Shoreline Medical Clinic for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. While at the clinic, he was interview by troopers regarding the crash. Police detected the order of alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath and his eyes were glossy and bloodshot. He consented to and failed a standardized field sobriety test.

Tuesday, June 17

• A 71 year-old Middlefield man was arrested at 8:22 p.m. and charged with criminal trespass in the first degree and breach of peace in the second degree. He was processed on a $1,000 surety bond.

Wednesday, July 18

• A 49 year-old Chester man was arrested at 11:31 a.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the second degree.

• A 38 year-old man of Boston Post Road was issued a citation at 5:21 p.m. for failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway. He swerved the Dodge Dakota he was operating to avoid collision, lost control of the vehicle, and struck a metal-beam guardrail located off the right side of the roadway. No injuries were reported by the driver or observed by the investigating trooper.

Thursday, July 19

• A 45 year-old Norwich man was arrested at 8:35 a.m. following a motor vehicle crash charging him with using a motor vehicle without permission. He was processed and held on a $15,000 surety bond that he could not post.

Friday, July 20

• A 30 year-old Wallingford man was arrested at 1:56 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway, and operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license following a report of an unconscious person in a vehicle. The accused failed a standardized field sobriety test.

• A 28 year-old East Haddam man was arrested at 11:33 a.m. on a warrant charging him with larceny in the sixth degree following an investigation into the theft of a firearm from a 38 year-old Wallingford man. He was processed and held on a $10,000 surety bond that he could not post.

• A 28 year-old Clinton man was arrested at 12:20 p.m. on warrants charging him with two counts of failure to appear in the second degree.

Saturday, July 21

• A 22 year-old East Haven man was arrested at 4:19 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway following a motor vehicle stop for erratic operation and failing a standardized field sobriety test.

Monday, July 23

• A 65 year-old Middletown man was arrested at 3:29 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs following a motor vehicle stop of erratic operation and failing a standardized field sobriety test.

• A 20 year-old East Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 5:25 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and speeding at over 70 miles per hour.

Thursday, July 26

• A 50 year-old New London man was arrested at 6:15 a.m. and charged with larceny in the fifth degree for the theft of a chainsaw pole saw.

Friday, July 27

• A 21 year-old Norwich man was arrested at 11:03 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failure to wear a seat belt in the front seat, and improper parking after the accused was observed sleeping behind the steering wheel with the keys in the ignition. He agreed to and failed a standardized field sobriety test.

Saturday, July 28

• A 21 year-old Essex man was arrested at 11:57 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and improper parking following an investigation into an improperly parked black 2002 Ford Focus bearing Connecticut registration plate AA68673. He agreed to and failed a standardized field sobriety test.

Sunday, July 29

• A 39 year-old Oakdale man was arrested at 3:15 a.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, speeding, failure to comply with rule of passing on the right, improper use of high beam lights, possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis, and possession of drugs with intent to sell. He was processed on a $10,000 surety bond.

• A 36 year-old West Haven man was arrested at 10:05 a.m. on a warrant charging him with larceny in the fourth degree.

• A 53 year-old Old Lyme woman was arrested at 1:58 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident), failure to carry an operator’s license, and failure to drive right. She agreed to and failed a standardized field sobriety test.

• A 55 year-old Amston woman was arrested at 11:34 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and disorderly conduct. The arrest was made following a complaint received from an employee of Water’s Edge Resort and Spa, 1525 Boston Post Road) regarding the conduct of a female in the parking area. She was processed and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

Monday, July 30

• A 31 year-old man of Marietta, Georgia was arrested at 2:53 p.m. and charged with extraction arrest for being a fugitive from justice for failing to register as a sex offender in that state. He was processed and held on a $100,000 surety bond he could not post pending extradition proceedings to be handled by Middletown Superior Court.

• A complaint about fraud was investigated on Westbrook Heights Road at 5:26 p.m. A 78 year old man was the alleged victim of a larceny via forged bank checks by a 46 year-old woman of was employed as his part-time caregiver. Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to call Trooper Gregory Hunter at 860-399-2100. All calls will be kept confidential.

Tuesday, July 31

• A 28 year-old West Hartford woman was arrested at 8:02 p.m. and charged with use of possession of drug paraphernalia following a larceny investigation. She had drugs paraphernalia in her pocketbook.

• A 46 year-old woman of Spencer Plains Road was issued a misdemeanor summons at 5:59 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension following a motor vehicle stop on Westbrook Heights Road. She was processed and released on a $1,500 non-surety bond.

Old Saybrook

Wednesday, July 4

• A 25 year-old Old Lyme woman was arrested at 7:46 p.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the third degree.

• A 21 year-old Colchester man was issued a citation at 5:28 p.m. for speeding and use or possession of drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on Middlesex Turnpike at Hart Trail.

Thursday, July 5

No arrests were made.

• A 51 year-old Westbrook man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 7:40 p.m. for evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident), operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license, and failure to maintain the reasonable distance apart following a motor vehicle stop on Boston Post Road at Old Boston Post Road.

Friday, July 6

• A 22 year-old New London woman was arrested at 12:25 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, possession of a controlled substance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, improper use of marker plate, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license, and possession of cannabis.

• A 47 year-old woman of Briarwood Drive and a 28 year-old Norwich woman were arrested at 7:51 p.m. Each party was charged with possession of narcotics, conspiracy to possess narcotics, conspiracy to possess narcotics with intent to sell, and use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

• A 29 year-old Mystic man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 7:58 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension following a motor vehicle stop on Springbrook Road at Boston Post Road.

• A 52 year-old Westbrook man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 8:17 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and use or possession of drug paraphernalia containing cannabis.

Saturday, July 7

No arrests were made.

• A 48 year-old Middletown woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 10:17 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and improper use of marker plate.

Sunday, July 8

• A 50 year-old New London man was arrested at 12:15 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway.

• A 26 year-old New London woman was arrested at 2:25 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, speeding, failure to obey a stop sign, and operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license.

• A 43 year-old woman of Church Street was arrested at 10:57 p.m. and charged with violation of a protective order, criminal mischief in the third degree, and disorderly conduct under the Domestic Violence Act. He was held on a $5,000 surety bond he could not post.

• A 27 year-old Clinton man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 6:04 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension following a motor vehicle stop on Plum Bank Road at the town beach.

• A 30 year-old woman of Maple Avenue was issued a misdemeanor summons at 7:50 p.m. for driving while under the influence license or registration suspension following a motor vehicle stop on Boston Post Road at Schoolhouse Road.

• A 31 year-old Norwich woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 12:49 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident) following a motor vehicle stop on Main Street at Boston Post Road.

• A 28 year-old Old Lyme man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 7:22 p.m. for traveling unreasonably fast, misuse of marker plate, failure to have insurance, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle following a motor vehicle stop on Ingham Road at Elm Street.

• A 67 year-old man of Deerfield Beach, Florida was arrested at 9:18 p.m. and charge with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to obey a traffic control signal.

• A 35 year-old Centerbrook woman was arrested at 2:08 p.m. on a warrant charging her with criminal mischief in the second degree under the Domestic Violent Act.

• A 33 year-old Guilford man was arrested at 9:02 p.m. and charge with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs following a motor vehicle stop at 142 Ferry Road.

• A 30 year-old Southbury man was arrested at 10:26 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree on the 500 block of Boston Post Road.

• A 46 year-old New London man was arrested at 9:51 a.m. on a warrant held by the Old Saybrook Police Department charging him with larceny in the sixth degree.

• A 56 year-old man of Main Street was arrested at 2:16 p.m. and charged with interfering with an officer and being a fugitive from justice on an outstanding warrant held by the State of Massachusetts. He was processed and held on a combined $105,000 surety bond.
