Police Incident Report for July 4 to 31


The East Haven Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Wednesday, July 4

• A 33 year-old Bridgeport man was arrested at 12:37 p.m. and charged with forgery in the second degree, insurance fraud, and possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis. He was processed on a $20,000 surety bond.

• A 28 year-old Milford man was arrested at 7:46 p.m. and charged with possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis and use or possession of drug paraphernalia containing less than one-half ounce of cannabis.

Thursday, July 5

• A 40 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 6:51 a.m. and charged with three counts of violation of probation. He was processed on a combined $70,000 bond amount.

• A 38 year-old Madison woman was arrested at 9:07 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

• A 33 year-old woman of William Street was arrested at 2:30 p.m. and charged with violation of probation.

Friday, July 6

• A 49 year-old man of Maplevale Road was arrested at 3:51 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

• A 37 year-old man of Pond Street was arrested at 5:42 p.m. and charged with criminal trespass in the first degree and larceny in the sixth degree.

Saturday, July 7

• A 50 year-old Wallingford woman was arrested at 6:45 p.m. and charged with harassment in the second degree and threatening in the second degree.

• A 33 year-old Branford man was arrested at 6:52 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and assault in the third degree on a person age 60 or older or who is pregnant or handicapped.

• A 21 year-old Norwalk man was arrested at 11 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway following a motor vehicle stop on Coe Avenue.

Sunday, July 8

• A 49 year-old man of Maplevale Road was arrested at 5:39 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and threatening in the second degree.

Monday, July 9

• A 47 year-old woman and a 47 year-old man of the same Glenmoor Drive residence were arrested at 6 p.m. Each party was charged with disorderly conduct under the Domestic Violence Act.

• A 42 year-old Manchester man was arrested a 10:47 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

Tuesday, June 10

• A 23 year-old man of Burr Street was arrested at 8:45 p.m. and charged with three counts of violation of probation. He was process on a combined $30,000 bond amount.

• A 23 year-old man of Hemingway Avenue was arrested at 10:09 p.m. and charged with threes of violation of probation. He was processed on a combined $40,000 bond amount.

Wednesday, July 11

• A 26 year-old man of Burgess Street was arrested at 3:40 a.m. and charged with possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis.

• A 20 year-old woman of Silver Sands Road was arrested at 11:39 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

Thursday, July 12

• A 30 year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 1:49 p.m. and charged with criminal trespass in the first degree.

• A 57 year-old man of John Street was arrested at 6:35 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, and failure to obey a traffic control signal following a motor vehicle stop in front of 720 Foxon Road.

• A 19 year-old woman of Weber Street was arrested at 10:27 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and assault in the third degree.

Friday, July 13

• A 40 year-old man of Short Beach Road was arrested at 7 a.m. and charged with assault in the third degree on a person age 60 or older or who is pregnant or handicapped, interfering with an officer/resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and interfering with an emergency call. He was processed on a $20,000 surety bond.

• A 30 year-old woman of Gerrish Avenue was arrested at 8:15 a.m. and charged with refusing to be fingerprinted, interfering with an officer/resisting arrest, and assault in the second degree.

• A 30 year-old woman of Meadow Place was arrested at 8:58 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree.

• A 55 year-old Milford man was arrested at 9:37 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree.

Saturday, July 14

• A 25 year-old man of Kenneth Street was arrested at 4:14 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and assault in the third degree.

Sunday, July 15

• A 27 year-old man of Russo Avenue was arrested at 7:15 p.m. and charged with violation of a protective order and disorderly conduct.

• A 22 year-old West Haven man was arrested at 9:57 p.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the second degree.

Monday, July 16

• A 45 year-old man of Kimberly Avenue was arrested at 5:18 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

• A 26 year-old Branford man was arrested at 7:03 p.m. on warrants charging him with two counts of failure to appear in the second degree.

Tuesday, June 17

• An 18 year-old man of Foxon Crest Drive was arrested at 3 a.m. and charged with larceny in the third degree.

• A 57 year-old man of Thompson Street and charged with disorderly conduct. He was processed on a $5,000 bond.

Wednesday, July 18

• An 18 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 11:23 a.m. and charged with larceny in the third degree, interfering with an officer/resisting arrest, operating a motor vehicle without an endorsement, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

• A 24 year-old man of Michael Street was arrested at 5:50 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and assault in the third degree.

Thursday, July 19

• A 44 year-old man of Coe Avenue was arrested at 4:37 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree and conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree.

Friday, July 20

• A 30 year-old man of Old Foxon Road was arrested at 12:05 p.m. and charged with criminal trespass in the first degree.

• A 22 year-old man of Swan Way was arrested at 7:50 p.m. and charged with reckless driving, engaging police in pursuit, reckless endangerment in the second degree, and operating a motor cycle without an endorsement. He was processed on a $10,000 bond.

Saturday, July 21

• A 57 year-old North Haven man was arrested at 1 p.m. and charged with threatening in the second degree.

• A 37 year-old North Branford man was arrested at 8:35 p.m. and charged with burglary in the third degree, criminal trespass in the first degree, and disorderly conduct.

Sunday, July 22

• A 56 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 7:34 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree following a shoplifting incident at Stop & Shop.

Monday, July 23

• A 46 year-old East Haven man was arrested at 7:23 p.m. and charged with interfering with an emergency call, disorderly conduct, assault in the third degree, and strangulation in the third degree.

Tuesday, June 24

• A 37 year-old North Branford man was arrested at 2:23 p.m. and charged with violation of a protective order.

• A 48 year-old man of Highland Avenue was arrested at 5:12 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and risk of injury to a minor.

• A 23 year-old nab of Thompson Avenue was arrested at 10:28 p.m. and charged with reckless driving, breach of peace in the second degree, and threatening in the second degree. He was processed on a $1,500 bond. In the same incident, a 26 year-old man of the same residence was charged with reckless driving, breach of peace in the second degree, illegal possession of a weapon in the motor vehicle, possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis, and use or possession of drug paraphernalia containing less than one-half ounce of cannabis. He was processed on a $2,000 bond.

Wednesday, July 25

• A 27 year-old Hamden man was arrested at 7:21 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree, assault in the third degree, and strangulation in the second degree.

Thursday, July 26

No arrests were made.

Friday, July 27

• A 37 year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 3:50 p.m. and charged with larceny in the third degree, operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, and evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident).

• A 34 year-old man of View Terrace was arrested at 9:43 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway.

• A 45 year-old North Branford woman was arrested at 9:44 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to obey a traffic control signal.

Saturday, July 28

• A 19 year-old man of Hemingway Avenue and an 18 year-old man of Tuttle Place were arrested at 2:03 a.m. Each party was charged with three counts of criminal trespass in the sixth degree, two counts of burglary in the third degree, two counts of criminal attempt to commit larceny in the sixth degree, two counts of conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree, criminal attempt to commit burglary in the first degree, conspiracy to commit burglary in the first degree, and use or possession of drug paraphernalia. Each man was processed on a $100,000 surety bond.

• A 38 year-old Wallingford man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 2:15 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident), failure to grant right of way, improper use of marker plate, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

• A 39 year-old woman of Thompson Street was arrested at 5:22 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree.

Sunday, July 29

No arrests were made.

Monday, July 30

• A 50 year-old woman of Coe Avenue was arrested at 4:27 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree and conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree. In the same incident a 44 year-old man of the same residence was charged with conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree.

• A 29 year-old man of Pond Street was arrested at 6:17 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct, interfering with an emergency call, assault in the third degree, and strangulation in the third degree. He was processed on a $100,000 surety bond.

• A 25 year-old man of Pond Street was arrested at 7 a.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to pay or plead a citation.

• A 19 year-old woman of Washington Avenue was arrested at 10:21 a.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the first degree and two counts of disorderly conduct.

• A 23 year-old man of Hemingway Avenue was arrested at 5:40 p.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the second degree.

Tuesday, July 31

• A 27 year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 4:42 p.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the third degree, breach of peace in the second degree, and assault in the third degree.

• A 20 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 7 p.m. and charged with possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis, failure to maintain the proper lane of multiple lane highway, and making an improper turn.

• A 20 year-old man of Rowe Court was arrested at 7:50 p.m. and charged with larceny in the third degree.
