Police Incident Report for June 27 to July 3


The North Haven Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Wednesday, June 27

• A 44 year-old New Britain woman was arrested at 2:30 p.m. and charged with burglary in the third degree and larceny in the third degree.

• A 29 year-old New Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 9:16 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, misuse of plate, and failure to register a commercial vehicle.

Thursday, June 28

No arrests were made.

Friday, June 29

• A 31 year-old Meriden woman was arrested at 12:30 p.m. and charged with violation of probation.

• A 24 year-old Hamden man was arrested at 6:45 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

Saturday, June 30

No arrests were made.

• A 42 year-old woman of Oakwood Lane was issued a citation at 10:41 a.m. for allowing a dog to roam at large.

Sunday, July 1

• A 22 year-old Waterbury man was arrested at 5:30 p.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the second degree.

Monday, July 2

• A 68 year-old Hamden man was arrested at 1 p.m. and charged with larceny in the third degree, larceny in the fourth degree, and forgery in the third degree.

• A 26 year-old West Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 5:48 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension.

Tuesday, July 3

• A 20 year-old East Haven man was arrested at 6:15 a.m. and charged with engaging police in pursuit, criminal mischief in the third degree, violation of a protective order, threatening in the second degree, and improper license classification.

From June 27 to July 30, North Haven police issued five citations to motorists for failure to maintain a reasonable distance apart, three citations for failure to grant right of way, two citations for failure to obey state traffic commissions road markings, two citations for failure to carry an insurance card, and two citations for using a hand-held cell phone while driving. One citation was issued for each of the following: failure to register a commercial vehicle, improper license classification for vehicle driven, failure to obey a control signal, and traveling unreasonably fast.
