Police Incident Report for June 13 to 26


The North Haven Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Wednesday, June 13

• A 35 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 11 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree and conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree.

• A 33 year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 11 a.m. and charged with conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree.

Thursday, June 14

• A 34 year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 6 p.m. and charged with forgery in the second degree and criminal attempt to commit larceny in the third degree.

Friday, June 15

No arrests were made.

Saturday, June 16

• A 53 year-old man of Temple Street was arrested at 6:12 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and assault in the third degree.

• A 36 year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 7 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

• A 37 year-old New Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 2:05 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway, and operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license.

Sunday, June 17

• A 19 year-old man of Hidden Pond Drive was arrested at 3:30 p.m. on a warrant charging him with evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle and traveling unreasonably fast.

• A 25 year-old man of unknown address was arrested at 9:14 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

• A 25 year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 9:15 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

• A 36 year-old man of an Avalon Haven apartment was arrested at 8:30 p.m. and charged with violation of a protective order.

Monday, June 18

No arrests were made.

• A 36 year-old New Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 11:27 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and improper use of marker plate.

Tuesday, June 19

No arrests were made.

Wednesday, June 20

• A 48 year-old East Haven man was arrested at 10 a.m. and charged with criminal violation of a restraining order.

• A 36 year-old man of Fitch Street was arrested at 11 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct, interfering with an emergency call, and assault in the third degree.

Thursday, June 21

• A 57 year-old Watertown man was arrested at 5:05 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree and conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree.

• A 62 year-old woman and a 60 year-old man of the same Watertown residence were arrested at 5:44 a.m. Each party was charged with larceny in the sixth degree and conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree.

• A 50 year-old Waterbury man was arrested at 9 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree and conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree.

• A 23 year-old woman of unrecorded address was issued a misdemeanor summons at 11:50 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance; operating an unregistered motor vehicle; falsifying a marker plate, license, or registration; and improper license classification for vehicle driven.

Friday, June 22

No arrests were made.

Saturday, June 23

• A 43 year-old woman of Bushkill, Pennsylvania was arrested at 2:30 p.m. and charged with larceny in the fourth degree.

Sunday, June 24 to Monday, June 25

No arrests were made.

Tuesday, June 26

No arrests were made.

• A 53 year-old New Haven woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 8:25 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, misuse of plate, and failure to grant right of way at an intersection.

From June 13 to 26, North Haven police issued eight citations to motorists for operating an unregistered motor vehicle, six citations for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart, six citations for failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway, four citations for traveling unreasonably fast, four citations for failure to wear a seat belt in the front seat, three citations for failure to renew registration, three citations for failure to grant right of way, two citations for using a hand-held cell phone while driving, two citations for failure to obey state traffic commission road markings, and two citations for operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license. One citation was issued for each of the following: failure to obey a control signal, failure to obey a stop sign, failure to signal a turn, failure to display plates, and operating a motor vehicle in violation of license classification.
