Thursday, May 24
No arrests were made.
• Sudden death/body found (a 70 year-old male) was reported at 1820 Moose Hill Road at 5:09 p.m.
Friday, May 25
• A 50 year-old man of Long Hill Road was arrested at 11:38 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and interfering with an emergency call.
• A landlord/tenant dispute was investigated at 74 Three Mile Course at 10:17 a.m. The landlord needed to enter the apartment.
• Harassment was investigated on the 1900 block of Boston Post Road at 11:55 a.m.
• A complaint about a dog in a living room that did not belong to the family was investigated at 269 Boston Street at 9:32 p.m.
Saturday, May 26
No arrests were made.
• Suspicious activity was investigated at 505 Whitfield Street at 12:51 a.m. The building manager stated that people were on the roof. Three officers responded and checked the building. No one was observed on the roof. No other suspicious activity was observed at the site.
• Four youths banging on door was investigated at 55 Graves Avenue at 10:24 p.m. One male was wearing a white T-shirt. The case was noted as an ongoing issue. Police could not locate the youths.
• A report of youths riding skateboards and holding onto cars was investigated on Whitfield Street near the Green. The youths left the area prior to police arrival.
Sunday, May 27
• A 73 year-old man of Peddlers Road was arrested at 3:30 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain the proper lane of multiple lane highway following a motor vehicle stop on the 300 block of Peddlers Road.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 31 Park Street at 4:16 a.m. Several flags were displaced. All were replaced, and none were damaged. The suspects were gone when police arrived.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 229 Half Mile Road at 7:04 a.m. A mailbox and post were damaged during the overnight hours.
• Neighbor trouble was investigated on Alden Drive at 8:13 a.m. The case was an ongoing issue with a neighbor harassing the complainant while she walks her dog.
Monday, May 28
• A 28 year-old Wallingford woman was arrested at 6:42 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree, assault in the second degree, and threatening in the first degree following an investigation on North River Street.
• Neighbor trouble was investigated on the 300 block of Village Walk at 4:06 p.m.
• A breach of peace incident was investigated at the Yale Clinic, 111 Goose Land, at 4:06 p.m.
Tuesday, May 29
• A 44 year-old Branford woman was arrested at 1:05 p.m. and charged with larceny in the fifth degree, conspiracy to commit larceny in the fifth degree, criminal impersonation, breach of peace in the second degree, operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, and possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis.
• A larceny was investigated a 9 Boston Street at 3:29 p.m.
• Neighbor trouble was investigated on Dohm Avenue at 6:01 p.m.
Wednesday, May 30
• A 36 year-old West Haven man was arrested at 1:05 p.m. and charged with larceny in the fifth degree, conspiracy to commit larceny in the fifth degree, and breach of peace in the second degree.
• A complaint about people on a putting green after closing at Guilford Lake Golf Course was investigated at 6:33 p.m. Police could not find anyone of the course and the complainant was not present to clarify his complaint.
Thursday, May 31
• A 48 year-old Madison man was arrested at 7:09 p.m. and charged with criminal trespass in the first degree following an investigation at 2293 Boston Post Road.
• A dumping violation was investigated on Bruce Lane at 1:57 a.m. Four cushions for outdoor chairs were dumped at the intersection of Bruce Lane and Boston Post Road.
• A report of a bobcat and its family living nearby was investigated at 80 Carter Drive at 8:37 a.m.
Friday, June 1
No arrests were made.
• A breach of peace incident was investigated on Water Street at 12:13 a.m.
• A breach of peace incident was investigated at Villa Nail Spa, 1061 Boston Post Road, at 10:29 a.m. A client was yelling inside the spa.
• An anonymous complainant reported that a gray Volkswagen Jetta bearing Connecticut license plate DC4847 was being operated erratically on the 400 block of Boston Post Road, swerving in and out of the double yellow line. Police spoke with the driver and all seemed in order.
• Neighbor trouble was investigated on Harbor View Road at 2:33 p.m. A male entered the residence, yelled and screamed, and then left.
Saturday, June 2
No arrests were made.
• A burglary was investigated at 68 White Birch Drive at 5:33 p.m. A car was entered during the overnight hours. Nothing was taken.
Sunday, June 3
• A 21 year-old woman of Squaw Lane was arrested at 2:27 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway, and failure to display lights.
• Neighbor trouble was investigated on the 2400 block of Boston Post Road. The complainant stated that his neighbor parks on his lawn despite him asking numerous times not to do so. An officer spoke with the neighbor. The vehicle was moved without incident.
Monday, June 4
• A 64 year-old man of Maple Hill Road was arrested at 5:5 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree.
Tuesday, June 5
No arrests were made.
• A repossession of a vehicle was reported at 30 Whispering Woods Road at 3:49 a.m.
Wednesday, June 6
No arrests were made.
• A landlord/tenant dispute was investigated on the 100 block of Oxbow Lane at 2:15 p.m.
Thursday, June 7
• A 52 year-old man of Route 80 was arrested at 6:37 p.m. and charged with threatening in the second degree.
• A report of a seal in the water with a possible injury was investigated at Grass Island, 535 Whitfield Street, at 10:13 a.m.
Friday, June 8
No arrests were made.
• Several burglaries of vehicles were investigated between 5 and 8:30 a.m. on the east end of Guilford at neighborhoods along Boston Post Road and Boston Street. The addresses included 156, 177, 182, 191, 192, and 216 Sperry Drive; 33 and 47 Michelle Lane; and in the Sunrise Association Community at the following addresses: 6 and 10 Stonewall Lane, 9 Sparrow Bush Lane, 48 Davis Drive, and 34 Horseshoe Road. Various personal items were taken from some vehicles and other vehicle were entered, but nothing taken. A neighbor reported to police being awake at 3 a.m. Friday morning and hearing and seeing a vehicle on Stonewall Lane stopping and going while sitting on his back deck. He also heard that same vehicle traveling through the neighborhood in front of his home on Horseshoe Road.
• Harassment was investigated on the 100 block of Whitfield Street at 9:57 a.m. The female complainant received harassing emails from a male.
Saturday, June 9
No arrests were made.
• A caller on Farmview Lane reported at 11:57 a.m. that a young bird needed assistance. It was determined the bird was fine and no action was needed.
• A complainant on Dunk Rock Road reported that his neighbor was shooting off a cannon at 10:07 p.m.
Sunday, June 10
No arrests were made.
• A welfare check was investigated in front of 500 Boston Post Road at 1:39 a.m. A Wendy’s employee was walking in the roadway and wearing black clothing.
• An assault was investigated on the 700 block of Durham Road at 5:11 p.m.
Monday, June 11
No arrests were made.
• A larceny was investigated at 1675 Boston Post Road at 9:53 a.m. A woman stole three cases of Red Bull drink and left in a gray Dakota 4x4 operated by a white male with brown hair and eye glasses. The vehicle fled toward Branford on Boston Post Road.
• A larceny was investigated at 900 Boston Post Road at 12:23 p.m.
• A burglary was investigated at 60 Old Miller lane at 3:05 p.m.
• Three debit cards were found at Wendy’s, 570 Boston Post Road, and turned over to police at 11:16 p.m.
Tuesday, June 12
No arrests were made.
• A burglary was investigated at 53 Sconset Lane at 4:12 a.m. The complainant reported that a vehicle pulled up outside of her home. She opened the front door and saw two people run back to a vehicle parked in the road. The vehicle drove away.
• Burglaries were reported at 199 Donald Road and 39 Alpha Avenue at 7 a.m. The complainants stated that their vehicles were entered around 3:45 a.m. Nothing was taken in either case.
• Burglaries of vehicles were investigated at 640 New England Road, 208 and 301 Mirror Lane, and 25 Dogwood Lane between 7:23 a.m. and 8:33 a.m. Unsecured vehicles were entered during the overnight hours.
• A complaint about fraud on bank accounts was investigated at 36 Norton Avenue at 10:27 a.m.
Wednesday, June 13
• A 58 year-old man of Little Meadow Road was arrested at 8:30 p.m. on warrants charging him with failure to appear in the first degree and two counts of failure to appear in the second degree.
• A complaint about identity theft was investigated at 4391 Durham Road at 5:50 p.m.
• A domestic dispute was investigated on the 1100 block of Moose Hill Road at 6:14 p.m.
