Thursday, May 3
No arrests were made.
• An animal complaint was investigated at 1306 Moose Hill Road at 8:24 a.m. A pit bull was walking between the front and back doors of the residence. The owner picked up the dog prior to police arrival.
• A complaint about fraud involving a bank account was investigated at 59 Water Street at 11:20 a.m.
• A complainant reported finding a small baggie of white powder at Jacobs Beach at 2:11 p.m. She left the item in the trash can on top of garbage. Police searched the garbage and surrounding area and could not find the baggie.
• A welfare check was investigated at Hubbard Road at 5:23 p.m. via an anonymous complaint. A man was walking his snake and did not appear to be a danger to himself or to others.
Friday, May 4
• A 52 year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 11:50 a.m. and charged with violation of probation.
• A 22 year-old man of Manor Road was arrested at 6:26 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• A complaint about the operator of a tag sale selling a lot of ammunition was investigated on Pearl Street at 1:20 p.m.
• A miscellaneous compliant was investigated on Waterside Drive at 4:45 p.m. A neighbor was cutting down a tree when it fell on the complainant’s roof.
• A vehicle repossession was reported at 132 Talcott Road at 5:35 p.m.
• A report of a possible intoxicated driver was investigated at 1675 Boston Post Road at 7:58 p.m. The vehicle was in a parking lot with a woman behind the wheel. Police learned the driver was not intoxicated; she was upset over issues that occurred throughout the day.
Saturday, May 5
No arrests were made.
• A complaint about a group of kids parked in front of a house—one dressed in a blue hoodie who got out of the vehicle and banged on the residence door—was investigated at 55 Graves Avenue at midnight.
• Disorderly conduct was investigated on the 2800 block of Long Hill Road at 3:46 a.m. A stepson had a gathering at the residence and several people became intoxicated and caused a problem for the complainant.

Monday, May 7
No arrests were made.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 211 State Street at 8:13 a.m. A mailbox was knocked over during the overnight hours.
• A domestic dispute was investigated on the 3300 block of Durham Road at 10:26 a.m.
• A larceny was investigated at 31 Lake Drive at 1:20 p.m.
Tuesday, May 8
• A 19 year-old Newington man was arrested at 11:15 a.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the third degree, disorderly conduct, assault in the third degree, and threatening in the second degree. He was also charged with two counts of failure to appear in the second degree on outstanding warrants.
• Neighbor trouble was investigated on the 200 block of Church Street at 10:19 a.m. A condo association cut down the complainant’s bushes.
• A stray dog was captured on Stone House Lane and placed in the animal shelter at 3:18 p.m.
Wednesday, May 9
No arrests were made.
• A breach of peace incident was investigated on Great Hill Road at 12:01 p.m.
• A complaint about counterfeiting was investigated at 830 Boston Post Road at 12:30 p.m.
• A domestic dispute was investigated at 91 Wilburs Lane at 4:54 p.m.
• A complaint about fraud involving a credit card was investigated at 148 Tulip Tree at 10:02 p.m.
Thursday, May 10
• A 45 year-old East Haven man was arrested at 8:21 a.m. and charged with burglary in the third degree, larceny in the second degree, and conspiracy to commit larceny and burglary.
• A vehicle repossession was reported at 58 Huckleberry Court at 3:23 a.m. During the incident two individuals were reportedly “screaming” inside a truck and a female was yelling “help me.”
• A complaint about fraud over the Internet was investigated at 44 Russo Drive at 8:31 a.m.
• An animal complaint was investigated at 929 Boston Post Road at 10:16 a.m. A goose flew into a windshield of a Park and Rec bus. There was no damage to the bus or its passengers. The goose was injured and lying on the side of the road. The goose was gone when the animal control officer arrived.
• Police assisted Wesleyan University authorities on Grist Mill Circle establish that an individual is no longer allowed on the university campus. Police were advised by a family member that the individual was in treatment in Massachusetts.
• A welfare check was made in front of 350 South Union Street at 2:20 p.m. Someone reported that a white male was laying with his feet in the road. The man was breathing.
• A larceny was investigated at 830 Boston Post Road at 4:53 p.m. A man stole flowers.
Friday, May 11
• A 46 year-old man on no known permanent address was arrested at 8:50 p.m. and charged with burglary in the third degree, criminal trespass in the second degree, and criminal mischief in the third degree.
• A possible drug overdose was investigated on the 600 block of North Madison Road at 6:37 a.m.
• An anonymous male reported that an injured hawk was in the triangle on pavement between the beginning Interstate exit 59 and the highway itself at 8:57 a.m.
• Neighbor trouble was reported on Davis Drive at 10:08 a.m. A neighbor’s contractor dropped a tree on the complainant’s property and the contractor was yelling at the complainant.
• The theft of a Connecticut passenger license plate was investigated at 4 Hickory Road at 1:07 p.m. Plate OKAP166 was taken from the complainant’s vehicle during the early morning hours.
• A breach of peace incident was investigated at Wendy’s, 570 Boston Post Road, at 2:20 p.m. An elderly female called communications to report that two elderly males were having an altercation at the restaurant. One left in a black Kia Soul. The other was still at Wendy’s in an orange Chevy pick-up truck.
• A report of a missing child was investigated on the 300 block of Foxwood Road at 6:18 p.m.
• Neighbor trouble was investigated on the 800 block of Village Walk at 6:25 p.m.
Saturday, May 12
• A 56 year-old Guilford woman was arrested at 10:46 p.m. and charged with illegal purchase of an alcoholic beverage for a minor.
• A complaint about a dark-colored sedan that was “all over the road” (possible DUI) was investigated on Boston Post Road at 11:36 p.m. Police searched from the 1300 block to the Madison town line. They were unable to locate the suspect vehicle.
Sunday, May 13
No arrests were made.
• Suspicious activity was investigated at the Town Hall, 31 Park Street, at 9:30 a.m. A communications dispatcher heard footsteps inside Town Hall on the floor above. Police learned that First Selectman Matt Hoey was in his office to catch up on paperwork after church.
Monday, May 14
No arrests were made.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 44 Highwoods Drive at 12:22 p.m. The complainant’s daughter’s car was egged overnight.
• Criminal trespass was investigated on Cindy Lane at 3:18 p.m.
• A theft of mail was investigated at 89 Wilderwood Drive at 3:19 p.m.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 154 Soundview Road at 3:57 p.m.
Tuesday, May 15
No arrests were made.
• Threatening was investigated at 1919 Boston Post Road at Michaels Arts and Craft at 11:47 a.m.
• A breach of peace incident was investigated on Saw Pit Road at 4:46 p.m.
Wednesday, May 16
• A 52 year-old woman of Hoadley Creek Circle was arrested at 3:22 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• A complaint about a man in a suit untying purple anti-drug and -alcohol ribbons on the Town Green on Broad Street at Whitfield Street was investigated at 6:30 a.m.
• A larceny was investigated at 69 Whitfield Street at 12:11 p.m.
• A complaint about fraud via a scam letter was investigated at 67 Golden Hill Drive at 1:18 p.m.
Thursday, May 17
• A 56 year-old Fairfield man was arrested at 7:40 a.m. and charged with filing a false incident in the second degree.
• A 53 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 10:59 a.m. and charged with criminal impersonation and operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension.
• A 48 year-old man of Old Whitfield Street was arrested at 4:15 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree, assault in the third degree, and threatening in the second degree.
• Forgery of a check drawn on a Guilford Savings Bank account, which was cashed, was investigated at 2 Saw Pit Road at 1:53 p.m.
Friday, May 18
No arrests were made.
• An animal complaint was investigated at 1124 Hoop Pole Road at 12:06 a.m. Cows were in the backyard and headed toward the monastery.
• A breach of peace incident was investigated on the 2500 block of Long Hill Road at 12:28 p.m. The property owner was yelling for contractors to get out of his house.

No arrests were made.
• Criminal mischief was investigated on State Street at 1:59 a.m. Black spray paint on the Interstate 95 underpass retaining wall spelled out “Trickle down is a myth.” The word “War” was spray painted on a stop sign at the intersection of Little Meadow Road and State Street.
• Sudden death occurred at 57 Horseshoe Road at 8:18 a.m. An elderly widow who lived alone was found deceased by a morning visitor.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 469 Whitfield Street at 10:30 a.m. A fence, mailboxes, and a NACTEC sign in the area were damaged.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 112 Dunk Rock Road at 12:33 p.m. The complainant reported damage to his vehicle that occurred months prior.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 449 Long Hill Road at 12:44 p.m. A mailbox was damaged during the overnight hours.
Monday, May 21
No arrests were made.
• Fraud complaints were investigated at 10 Paddock Lane at 1:53 p.m. and 830 Boston Post Road at 2:19 p.m.
• A burglary was investigated at 704 Long Hill Road at 6:58 p.m.
Tuesday, May 22
• A 31 year-old Hamden man was arrested at 5:15 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 1 Park Street at 9:58 a.m.
• A suicide attempt was reported at 9:13 p.m.
Wednesday, May 23
• A 20 year-old Hamden man was arrested at 4:40 p.m. and charged with evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident), operating a motor vehicle without insurance, and operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license.
• Neighbor trouble was investigated on the 300 block of Jefferson Drive at 12:58 p.m.
• A larceny was investigated at 1900 Boston Post Road at 1:51 p.m.
